I really want to continue though my doctor has asked that I stop it as 12 weeks.
Since it doesn't do any harm staying by it I wish to continue but DH is head strong on me stopping it since my doctor has asked that I stop.
I've told him, since he wants it the doctor's way I'll stop but he'll be held responsible if I ever spot.
He had to hands off and say madam do it your way.

Nothing will happen to your baby dear sis, Also follow your instinct so your mind can be at rest. Sometimes, fear of unknown has a lot of disadvantages on pregnancy. You can continue at least to avoid unnecessary panic.

By the way, God has given you the power and the grace to declare what you want, so confess positively daily and also avoid stress. Erase any form of fear from your mind and relax your mind.

Mama what week did you start and when did you end. Also, how did you stopped yours? Did you just stop taking it at once or you reduced it to once weekly before stopping.

I started at 3 months (12 weeks), cos thats when I registered for antenatal. It was when I told him about my 2 experiences (I had one miscarriage before I gave birth to my son and another one after him). So he placed me on the injection for 12 weeks, but he cancelled it immediately and reduced it to 6 weeks (twice in a week, Mondays and Fridays). Also, I was on 2 weeks appointment with him instead of the normal 4 weeks for antenatal. He actually said after the 6th week, he will know whether to continue or not. But fortunately, he didnt increase it.

I stopped it at once, Meaning the last 2 doses was taken same week (monday and Friday). In summary, I started @ 12 weeks and stopped @ 18 weeks.

Above all, it's God that has been helping me cos I am not even faithful to my antenatal since after the injection, just that I don't joke with my routine drugs and I follow up with scan. So far so good, God has been faithful and I am almost at the finishing lane.

So, either with injection or not, your baby has come to stay but it doesn't stop you from taken every necessary precautions.
We are here waiting to jubilate with your family this December by God's grace.

P:S I'm 13 weeks 2 days already.

I took mine for 6 weeks, though its twice in a week making 12 injections. The Dr. firstly booked me for 12 weeks but later reduced it to 6 weeks.

For the guava leaf, it treats diarrhoea and dysentry. You can as well boil it, but the squeezed one acts faster. The reason why I said it should be washed/rinse with salt water is to kill the germs in it.

Scent leaf treat pile/jedijedi. Whenever u take too much sweet things, just take it.

He didn't start like this o. This just started like few days ago and he is always putting his hand in his mouth. Anything g8ies to the mouth, i make sure nobody touches his hand these days, even i do not touch it.

@Enque and Zaynie, thanks for your responses. We've been to the hospital. No infection no this no that. Was given flagyl n ort. Even took them to a phamacist yesterday and was told not to try any other antibiotics so i wont cause more harms.

I cant say both dint work cos they dont take the ort.

Am self medicating them on vitamin c cos they sneeze sometimes, i stopped that yesterday, does vitamin c increase stooling? Make i answer myself first, i think yes cos it works for softening stool. Hmmm maybe am the one not allowing the flagyl to work afterall.

@Zaynie, i tell you oo, i was hungry and too busy to cook so i started feasting on them and am paying for it now. Though am better now but it comes on n off.

I am just seeing this, in case of next time,

1. get guava leaves
2. wash thoroughly with salt
3. squeeze it (with drinkable water)
4. use the shinapps cups to give your children 3 times daily (adult 1 glass cup) for 2-3 days.

Another option is to use scent leaf. Same process as above.

My son was on admission since Tuesday and was discharged this evening! The diagnosis? Broncho pneumonia, acute tonsillitis, malaria and infection!

I suspected all was not well when he was coughing for days after I'd just treated him for cough

I went back and demanded for thorough tests to be done. After all it's my money!

Did you see a general doctor or a paediatrician?

When my son started showing symptoms, I saw a general doctor twice! He specifically told me that the cough and cold needed no treatment and sent us home with vitamin c. I went back 2 days later and this timehe gave something for the cold due to congestion of the nose.

Barely 2 weeks after that, he broke down completely!

This time I saw a paediatrician who diagnosed him and immediately admitted him as fluids were already in his lungs (I was already self medicating him at home with vitamin c and one cough syrup that he was giving before..... I will never try this again)


Bottom line, seek a second opinion! That picture you showed me on whatsapp needs to be addressed quickly. The fact that she's not eating too is a problem! Not to scare you but she may need to be admitted for proper care! Demand for tests! If it's an infection, demand to know what kind and ask what caused it! If it's malaria, ask how you can protect t her against getting I'll next time! You're her mother they can't deny you answers!

Yours is even good. From my scan I did last week, EDD is July 4th, whereas my EDD using LMP was August 2nd. Stark difference! Lol

July 4 ke, dem no even say July 24th. I kent laff o.

Here I am sitting watching my baby sleep. She's been vomiting since morning and running temperature. I had to take her to the hospital because she was becoming weak. Cough and catarrh also. Dr diagnosed malaria and they've given her first dose of malaria injection. Its the temperature we are battling with because even with pcm the temperature is still high. Please pray for us

Please I just noticed that this thing on my sons back is spreading. Changed from coconut oil to Ori and wearing 2 shirts to bed when he had a cold some days ago. What is it and what can I use? I have gone back to coconut oil

We experienced this like two times, My only remedy is ori (shea butter) after applying it, I apply agnesia powder. It will just dry up and peeled off. We know longer have it, but i discover it normally comes during heat.

You will overcome it by the end of your 12th week. Remember that at this stage, your baby gets all the nutrients from you directly, so please try and eat plus take your supplements. There is little your Dr can do at this stage cos this is the formation stage and they wouldn't want to create any havoc by prescribing different kinds of drugs for you.

So, brace up and shake away the sickness.

I'm also managing the sickness, eat whenever and whatever your body accepts, try sipping hot or cold water regularly and take plentyyyyyyy of rest as in total shutdown. God is your strength. Please leave her o. She will walk. Is she holding things to stand? Is she reaching her Mile stones? Then she would walk. SIL came with some outfits on sunday for my baby for her her birthday photo shoot and started saying how my baby should do and walk because she wants to see her standing with her shorts on that day. I jejely carried my baby from her and told her them no dey give award for pikin wey waka before one year. I said it calmly because she's my fave SIL. If it were the other ones, even hubby knows that my voice will change and I will leave that place and not come out till they leave. Bikoo don't let anybody pressure you or your baby. She will stand and walk when she will and you will not even remember the time she was not walking.

to me, I don't see any seriousness in what your SIL said. just a normal talk as to see how those clothes will fit her little niece and appreciating those dresses on her. Everything shouldn't be taken as an offence.

I remembered when my SIL used to ask me if my baby has gotten some teeth, that she can't wait to see him smiling with those teeth. Its just normal.

Pls mamas help ooo..... My D's has refuse to use his potty even when I got him a new and colourful one. He prefers urinating on d floor then go and pick rag to clean it , he will squat or stand to poo but refuses to sit on d potty. Pls mamas i need tips on how to make him learn to use his potty......He will be one year and three months on 18th of this month.

Its a phase o my sister, majority of them do this before they will outgrow it again, even though they might have been using the potty before. My son will even go to the kitchen and poo, the next thing he will do is to call you to come and see. But before I know it, he went back to his potty.

Just continue to encourage him to sit on the potty, because if you are beating him then you don't want him to stop doing that.
