is it on ur palm? Like it tingling you right? If yes, When I experience that, I increase my blood tonic intake.

But if its ur wrist, I mean feeling pain on ur wrist, just apply heat ointment and support with bandage.

Thanks mama I thought the procedure was harmless that is why I allowed her she dosnt apply everyday she only does it every 2-3days when baby didnt poo and baby dosnt cry whenever she does it just calm I'm not sure she goes deep cos she put a heap of the rob on the cotton but and use it to push in a little and I notice whenever she does it, baby poo almost immediately or at most, after 5_6hrs. I'm not always comfortable though cos I know its cos she is on exclusive. I will tell my hubby to talk to her then to stop cos I may not be able to tell her myself. Thanks

That thing helps baby to poo easily, its either with Mentholatum or vaseline (it lubricates the anus). In fact, some drop warm water in the baby anus and before u know it, the kind of poo that will follow suit will be mighty. Though, that 2-3 days might be too frequent. As long as baby farts, no cause for alarm.

Those with carpal tunnel syndrome (wrist pain), Always support your wrist with bandage when going to bed at night, when lifting slightly heavy objects.

According to what I heard, the stuff happened when u r carrying a baby boy, I don't know how true sha. But I experienced it when I was pregnant with my boy then, my two wrists were something else. It came to an extent that I couldn't carry my son when he was like 3 months old. I normally support with bandage when the pain was unbearable.
But, with this preggy, nothing of such.

This issue of pineapple, body differs truly cos I eat pineapple like there is no tomorrow and no side effect. May God help us.

Please mum in the house. Please I have been experiencing this serious pains in my right hand side. At night I found out difficult to sleep. Very painful. Even in day time. I can't do things with it. Very dried as if there is no blood there. Please advice me on what to do. I have gone to hospital doc said is water retention. Me I don't understand this Kai one. I believe you wouldn't want to see your children in pain all the time. Save yourself from the agony now by quitting. Also, even with the solution given above, do you think its easy to be going for D&C all the time untill u get your desired result? Emotionally, it will weigh u down and u can as well loose ur womb in the process.

So, if u love your unborn children, you won't go ahead because u guys have been together for 5 years. What if the guy is HIV positive, will u say it's difficult to break the union? I'm sure u will be the one to pick race. It's left for u.

Hi Mamas......so my lil man has been running temp off and on. at some point, he started purging. Took him to his ped and he was given antimalaria and antibiotics. He got better after a few days and now he's started running temp again. Earlier today,he was 38.8. Grandma said its teething as he still has 2 teeth at about 14 months. That he probably wants to bring out more than a tooth at once. I had to stop him from going to crèche so I can monitor him properly at home. Someone advised I give him a drug called "gbomoro". I have never given him anything for teething. Maybe just bonababe. His doc said I should monitor him for a few days....I give him ors, zinc and Panda Paracetamol. Should I get d gbomoro? and is there any home remedy to make him feel better? Thank you as I await ur responses

Might be teething truly, talking from experience. Just that we didn't purge. He felt better after the teeth came out finally.

I don't know of gbomoro, but continue with the paracetamol (emzor or M&B). He will be fine.

U know some people don't see childbirth as anything, its just normal to them. I think he belongs to that category.

The man is just funny, do you know that the following morning after the wife gave birth, they wanted to change the baby cloth, na so he go bring jeans and top for the boy to wear. less than 24hrs old fa, i told him the jeans will be too hard for the baby that he should bring soft cloth for him. I can never forget those couple. His wife gave birth 30 mins after me

I remember one ebira lady in the delivery room that day, Oh my God, when she started speaking her dialet me wey dey feel my own pain self dey laff, as in na correct speaking in tongue she do that day. My husband dey close to d delivery room, so he was able to hear her scream. come see as she dey joke d woman.

Meanwhile, her husband dey outside dey chop, my husband asked why is he not close to the delivery room at least to pity his wife. His response was " no be to born pikin? wen she born dem go call me say she don born, abeg i wan sleep if I chop this food finish". My oga just dey look am.

We don't have to wait for the white man (science) to acknowledge it before we can appreciate it.

The people of old might not have been educated but they had wisdom, they observed more...(what they ate and how it affected them positively or otherwise)

So, most of the information we refer as old wives' tale are actually true.

That's why village people don't get sick like those in the city.

Why? because they eat well balance diet food, fresh fruits direct from farm, natural planted food not food planted with fertilizer.

They live healthier and longer than those in the city.

Na waa I didn't take it before I conceived though i took it but not religiously 2 months b4. I started folic acid proper at 6 weeks 4 days, hope it's not a problem? though the scan shows normal spinal cord. but God is in charge.

No problem, most of the vegetables we eat contain folic acid. Especially okro and avocado.

Yes dear,very safe.Infact,the water isn't even cold by the time it gets to your stomach.And remember,baby is in the uterus,very separate from the stomach and intestines.It is just one of those pregnancy myths.

I think she is right, because a friend of mine had same experience. His baby's came to the world with catarrh and the nurses asked her if she took too much ice water when she was pregnant, though her own na excess cos na ice block she dey chop.

We usually feel the coldness when we drink cold water.

Then, if you notice it when u were pregnant, whenever ur baby is sleeping, immediately you take cold water, the baby will turn in the belly, that's to say they feel the coolness.

But cold water dey sweet body sha.

Pregnancy period
I conceived miraculously after 2.9yrs of ttc after so many tests, drugs, hospital visits, spending money etc. I had multiple fibroids and was told to do a surgery, i took in unexpectedly the month i was scheduled to do the surgery. The pregnancy period was very challenging for me, at 6 weeks i had high malaria from then onwards one issue or the other. MS was all day sickness for me and no remedy worked for me. i went days without food cos anything i taste must come out even water, i was being rushed to the hospital almost every week to take drip cos of extreme weakness, i could hardly stand without being supported. I lived on A.vomine every 5am bf anything enters my mouth, then i could now eat one plain eko/agidi and cold water for the day. I also took alot of youghurt.

your life is a testimony, congrats ma.

Teamie you are not being selfish nobody should add to your stress in the name of omugwo. Don't be the one to send her away just apply wisdom, discuss it with your hubby he should be the one to do the talk. Any word you say now, will be twisted behind your back. Just do what your strength can, after she bathe baby, carry her in, lock yourself in the room with enough provisions and water to take when hungry. If she knocks, tell her you are tired and need to catch some sleep cos baby didnt sleep at night . Tell her to feel free and enter the kitchen to cook whatever she wish to eat. You are lucky hubby is not there you don't have to bother about cooking all the time since its just your stomach.

Madam, this is harsh o. 70 years old woman fa., remember she is an old woman.

Though, they might not be doing that to their own daughter, but as a wife, patience should always be our watchword.

I experienced this same thing she is talking about, though hubby is with us. My husband twin sister will even come from her house to greet her mother, in the process, she will send me to the market to go buy soup ingredients for her to take home, me wey just born o. Instead of the mother to correct her, she will tell me to go quickly and come back on time. you can imagine that, my husband is always angry at them. Though they don't do that when he is at home, but whenever he is not around. How did he know? he met me on my way to the market one day and aske where I'm going to, I told him his sister sent me to the market. She frown face whenever she is eating, its either my rice is undone or soup no sweet. So many attitudes she put on then but I endured because she won't stay forever.

The day she left, it was as if they pour Ice water on my body. Since then, my hubby said she won't come to his house for omugwo again, that old people are just burden to new mothers.

So, lets be patient with them biko.

She's being here since my baby was 2wks old and sorry to say she's adding to my exhaustion....

All she does is to bathe baby.....
I mean literally bathe baby.....

I cook n clean n do the vigilante business myself....
I even wash clothes myself

Ohk I was not complaining cos she is elderly like in her 70s but she keeps criticizing my cooking....
This is not the way to do this or that.....
I don't eat this or that.....

I think it's time I have my house back.....

Hubby doesn't stay with us.... He works in a separate place so even when I try to say am stressed he but keeps saying he's mother is very considerate.....

I went to get some drugs for him today she didn't say she was sick oh.... Now I just cook finish she now saying she couldn't sleep last night she has malaria I should go get drugs......
