Mamas abeg for those who have baby boys, what do you guys used as barrier cream between the legs? You know the groin area, the two folds around the thighs.

My boy is 7weeks and we use powder but I noticed the skin there is starting to peel as at yesterday. Please help o.

@ d bolded, I remember the nurses use to tell us then that we should not use powder as a barrier stuff for babies. That it can make them have rashes i.e urine will make the powder to stick to the thighs. I don't know how true though but I use vaseline for my boy all through.

I want to suggest a very drastic method. I grew up with a thumb sucker and I saw them try every method (including tying him up in a chair). Didn't work. What I do (because my kid likes to stick her fingers up her nose) is that I got a watergun (which actually looks like a gun) and I shoot her with it every time I catch her. I also shoot her and her brother when they scream at night, scatter their toys or just look at me funny. it's extreme but it works.

squeeze bitterleaf and put his hand inside the water from time to time, d bitterness no dey comot on time. If bitterleaf no available, use the yellow flagyl for him. Grind it and mix with water, dig that thumb inside from time to time.

I understand and feel you from one angle. I went to boarding house too. Anytime i went home for holidays, things were done around the House for me as we had three maids.

Then I met a man. He came to our house to ask for my hand. I was just 21! I could not even boil water talk more of making pap. I did not even know how the cooker in our house works. All I could operate was the microwave. Warm my freezer food and eat. What is washing dishes? I hated the kitchen! It was so bad.

I told uncle husband that I cannot marry o. I cannot cook tea. The man was adamant. Married me like that. First 3 months he was cooking and washing dishes. Till one day he fell ill. Okay!
I saw him make Eba and okro few times. He was starving around 10pm. I made garri and water with okro and water. As in, u could count the okro in the water and the Eba was like over soaked garri.
After he got well, we would stay in the kitchen together. When he's putting salt, I'll add maggi. Thats how he taught me how to cook. Now who born him near my kitchen? I'm now his master. There's nothing I can't cook, I bake too. My okro soup beat his own 25times over. I'm bad like that.
So you will get over it with time. I believe so. If I can cook, me?! Then u can.

I respect your husband o, he must really be a matured man to have married you like that. he really loves you.

My dear, there is nothing bad in going to boarding school. Also, its a thing of the past. This is for you " The beauty of life is to move on, it will always end in praise". And don't forget to come back and testify by the time you become a great cook and even contesting for " knorr cooking contest".

I'm not in lagos, but I believe they will have cooking classes in lagos. Meanwhile, u have many options even if you don't attend classes.

1. You can engage the service of a good cook
2. There are different cooking manuals u can use to practice on your own.
3. Make yourself available during cooking time @ home and assist with little u can, don't forget to ask questions.
4. Make use of Youtube and also practice what u have learnt.
5. Go to food section on this forum, there are some threads that teach on how to prepare different types of food.

It is just a matter of interest, thats all.

No one is making u to feel bad, just that the truth is always bitter to swallow. No man wants to marry a woman that doesn't know how to cook. even if u have a maid, u can't expect him/her to be cooking for ur husband always. By the way, how will u teach ur children how to cook.

True, u have come to seek for knowledge here and people are ready to assist you. But those your 2 responses spoilt the whole thing and shows that you are not really ready.

Just erase that thought from your mind and you are good to go. To learn how to cook, u must enter kitchen and lit fire, wash used plate and clean ur kitchen. Whenever u see cooking as a hobby and not a strenuous work, then you are ready to learn.

The first scanning is always the accurate. Also, the dates giving to you are your window delivery dates, just be prepared. It will surely end with testimony.

Here comes my birth story!!!
I went for antenatal on Thursday at 39weeks,the consultant checked me and said the baby was big and that I had 3 different Edds from scans and lmp so he advised that I should get my things to be induced that same day. I was induced by 9pm by inserting a tablet and I started feeling little contraction, when I was checked I was told I was progressing but needed strong contraction that I was 7cm gone then all of a sudden contraction stopped and then I was given hot drip and checked again. To my greatest surprise I was told I was 4cm and with the hot drip I still didn't have contraction,this was the second failed inducement so the doctor still wanted to try again this was Friday night I was induced with a stronger drug yet no contraction then the tablet was inserted again still nothing. This was Saturday by 4am, the consultant was called upon so he said I had to do emergency cs. I was taken to the theater in less than 20 mind my prince was brought out with cord round his neck weighing 4.2kg .this was just a miracle because God prevented me from pushing him out with cord round his neck. All praises to God. Mama's please I need suggestions on how to recover from Cs my 1st child was via VD. Thanks.

My sister, I'm talking from experience. You need to see me when I was pregnant with my first. I was so dark, especially my face. After I gave birth, I have removed my mind self until someone told me that my skin is shining, that was when I took note that I'm back to my normal complexion.

Its just pregnancy hormone that caused some changes on our body and after delivery, things will go back to normal without stress.

In fact, my nose that was so hard became soft after 3 days of delivery.
