Hmmm, I just used that number as example o. My boy that's almost 3 years still dey put mouth for my bweast. Whenever I'm asleep, he will just come na biting go wake me. he will even be fighting me on top of my own personal properties, sometimes he will tell me to cover it after putting he don put mouth finish. Boys like breast o no be lie.

But that was my method of weaning him sha, we don't even have a particular number of time but I make sure I reduced it gradually ill we reach final lane. In fact, I was still breastfeeding him for like three months when the dad thought we have done with breastfeeding for a long time, I was doing it without his consent. Funny enough, it was as if he knew the dad has told me to stop. At night, he will just pam in one corner and be sucking @ night. Boys are suckers of life.

Massage with hot water morning and evening. You can as well take PCM if you are feeling pain.

Weaning is a gradual process, you don't just start at once. If baby has been breastfeeding like 5 times in a day, you are to be reducing the number of times gradually till u decided to wean-off finally.

Massaging helps a lot by surpressing the engorgement. When I finally weaned my baby then, I started masaging it with hot water and each time I do that, the milk will be leaking, later I discovered it was only plain water that was coming out whenever I pressed after massaging till the whole stuff dried up.

She packed out when the hubby was not around. It could be the man was victimizing her. People has tried to intervene but all effort has hit the dead end. Neither she nor the hubby has remarried. Their kids are now in secondary sch. I do arrange how she meet up with her kids sha . She visits them twice in a week.

It is well with her, I can't imagine what she passed through before she finally decided to pack out. I just pity the poor woman.

I want to share my experiences cos I believe it will assist you in making a decision.
I and dh planned to have our second baby after the first clocked 5 but he does not want any form of birth control so I resulted to the rhythm method. (It took me 8 months to get a gang of it and coupled with the fact that my cycle is consistent) . That is the method I used all through the 13 years we had all our babies. I gave birth to my last baby this February. Before delivery, I have started singing fp to his hearing almost every time we are doing the do. He told me he is afraid of the many side effects : weight gain, cancer and all others.
I told him that previously you said it may affect conceiving and now, that we had stop child bearing you are coming up with another story. After so much going forth and back, he agreed that I should take a suitable one. So I opted for implanon which I did in March, till now, no side effect whatsoever.
In another news, I have a neighbour that went for fp without the consent of the hubby. The second baby is 12yrs old now.and they have been ttcing since she was 3 yrs old ( to the hubby sha. He didn't know that his wife is taking depo p.) After some years she started complaining of stomach ache and they were managing it at home. One day, she fainted, the hubby took her to their family doctor and that is where he got to know that she is on fp. To cut the story short, she lost her womb, her home and her children because she packed out of the house out of shame and the hubby does not gave her access to her kids.
My point is, if you can let him see reasons why you need it try to convince him. If he will not bulge, my dear, YOU first!! You need to be alive for your kids and your family and if you can adhere strictly to your safe period, you can try the rhythm method if he will be able to control his urges. If all this fails, A Yoruba adage goes thus "TO BA KO IWAJU SI E KO TA, TO BA KO EHIN SI E KO TA, TO BA KU IWO NIKAN, KO TUN ERO ARA RE PA. Men will be men!! That's my one cent.

Why did she pack out? she tried to protect her life here, even though her womb was later removed, shebi she don born for the man. Its just a matter of apologising and forgiving the woman, that"s all. and they will continue their life. What if she didn't go for fp and she eventually got pregnant, later on she lost her life during child delivery won't the husband remarry?

Women don suffer for this life o. If a woman lost her husband and she remaried early, they will labelled her as the husband killer but if its a man, they will start preaching to him to move forward after 3 months of the wife's demise, telling him he need a companion that will be cooking for him. Sorry, I quoted u. I just pitied the woman cos she doesn't deserve that even after loosing her womb. That's when she needs the husband most.

are you serious? Avocado that contains plenty folic acid and I use to eat it too cos its even very cheap in my area. By the way, I ate like there is no tomorrow during my first pregnancy and my boy dey kampe.

We shouldn't hesitate to call on our Doctors whenever we need any clarifications concerning any changes in our system/body. Adhere to your Dr's instructions, if you are not comfortable with some of their prescriptions, kindly seek for second opinion to be sure you are on the right lane.

mama's am so sad,armed robbers came to my house today and took everything dey could take our TV with the control,gold rings we where on special occasion's, money,laptops and plenty things,they even ate my banana,this is the second time in two years I pray God takes care of whoever is doing this evil.In all I thank God for the gift of life my family and I are fine.

Oh! Thank you mama, I do make his pap just once and put it in flask, even when am home because he dosnt eat much sometimes to eat 100 mos from the bottle na fight so there is no way am doing that little quantity like 3 time daily. Abeg mama's who include egg in their baby's pap should answer me.

I prepared my baby's pap with egg too and keep in the flask. But it musn't be too watery when preparing it.

u mean 8th of Last month (April)? if yes, u can get a a pregnancy strip at a pharmacy and do Home test by yourself. It should be around 100 box. they will explain how to use it.

Yes, in the sense that you will confirm either you are pregnant or not from your missed period. Let's say u were supposed to see ur period today and u didn't see it, even after 5 days. It is assumed that u r 2 weeks pregnant already/ or 4 weeks gone. Thats why LMP is used to calculate EDD. I stand to be corrected by my sabi mamas.

abeg i have a question to ask o, am 5wks pregnant. i was advised by my doctor to stop taking vitamins for now cos i started taking pregnacare immediately after ovulation, that i should only take folic acid.am been skeptic about her advise.
secondly i took progesterone injection yesterday due to recurrent miscarriages, does the injection make one so weak? I cos since yesterday have been so weak, slept around 7pm thru the night and even as am typing na sleep get me.
No morning sickness .

I wouldn't say progesterone injection weakens someone cos I'm also on it. Its the early stage of pregnancy that makes someone to be so lazy and weak, always finding it difficult to do anything. By 12 weeks, u should be strong again cos the baby will be taking its nutrients from the placenta then and not directly from u again.

Hello mamas. I have a question please. The mama's that registered antenatal in hospitals where they are presently on strike, where did you give birth? Was your delivery taken where you registered or you had to go to another hospital?
Is it wise to register in 2 hospitals- government and private.just in case?

Yes, it is wise to register @ govt and private hospitals.
Also, u might be lucky if the hospital resume back before ur delivery date. My case as an example in 2015, I registered with FMC keffi but along the line the Drs went on strike but the nurses were still attending to us. So they adviced FTMs to have a backup, reason because "Nurses don't attend to FTMs on delivery date whenever there is Dr's strike. But, STMs are free with them. This is to avoid any issue that may arise. But luckily for me, they resume back on my EDD day and I gave birth 5 days after.

So, always have a backup to avoid issues.
