If you are around kogi few years ago when yahaya Bello was in power, he encouraged and brought trailer loads of Fulani people to different parts of kogi most especially around the Okun axis, especially iyara area. He did all these nonsense to Curry favor from the disaster call Buhari, from there this Fulani migrated quickly to most other parts of Okun land and they disappear into the bush and forest of Okun land. Most of the Okun traitors who supported that evil regime can't even go home because all the roads leading to most Okun land is infested with this bastards. Do you know that about 38 or 39 people that were kidnapped in aiyetoro kiri, those that were released recently are those the kidnappers felt they are frail in health and might die very soon because of the stress they have subjected them to, and that is exactly what happened imagine kidnapping an 80 years plus grandma, these sets of people who were released, I learn about #15m was paid, Yahaya Bello is no longer in power and see the aftermath of the disaster |

When I open the thread and I read some of your post, I fell in love with what you are doing, I love farming especially maize farming. I travel to iseyin to purchase about 10 acres then, I did very well for about 2 years, towards the end of buhari regime, Fulani people became very dangerous, twice my farm was encroached on, and they pay dearly for it , Subsequently I begin to sense danger , when stories of how farmers are abducted some times even killed. Sold of the land and headed back home. I hope Fulani people are not around that area because they can ruin people investment. |

You guys are very funny, Nigeria a country that the middle class has been completely wiped out.Where is the middle class with purchasing power to buy those goods Namigotalktru: US is playing checkers while China has been playing chess. The US economy will tank once they run out of Chinese goods. Their infrastructure is already in crisis. I almost feel like Trump is working for Putin.
For Nigeria it’s not enough for us to import we need to encourage them to come and set up factories and apprenticeships here for tech products and AI. So we can be the powerhouse.
All China needs todo is set up the factories of the most lucrative products they sell to US in Nigeria since we don’t have any ban with US.
But our leaders are still rolling on the floor for Europeans while selling us out for peanuts |
Politics › Re: China Turns To Nigeria, Other Emerging Economies As US Markets Freeze by confluence: 5:37am On Apr 21, 2025 |
You guys know nothing about the Chinese government, they don't keep to agreement they signed, all agreement signed under President Trump's first term in office, about 90 pages the Chinese never fulfill any of the agreement. If a whole American and the Europeans are unable to make the Chinese keep to their own side of agreement is it corrupt Nigerian officials that will be able to make the Chinese fulfill it's own side of trade agreement with Nigeria. Wolfdevil: You’ve made a very important point, and I honestly think more people should be paying attention to this. We’ve talked so much about the US-China trade war, but the real opportunity for us Nigeria and Africa is right here with China looking our way.
Now, $51 billion in investments, aid, and loans? That’s no small amount. If China is serious about diversifying away from the US and they're looking at Africa especially Nigeria as their next big market, we need to come to the table with our heads held high and a plan that benefits us.
With the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCTA) now in place, this is the best time for African countries to build cross-border industries. It means we can move past just exporting raw materials and start creating value here on the continent. That’s where the real growth and jobs will come from.
You also mentioned how Chinese contractors accounted for about 60% of construction work in Africa in 2019. That’s massive! But let’s not just celebrate that. Let’s use it as a sign that China is deeply invested here. So we shouldn’t be begging. We should be negotiating.
Now, about Nigeria being China’s biggest market in Africa absolutely correct. That gives us leverage. We should be pushing for deals that reflect our position. The currency swap agreement you mentioned from $2 billion to $10 billion is a great start. It’ll help reduce our overdependence on the dollar and make trade with China smoother.
But beyond that, we need to focus on capital goods. Let the things coming into the country be machines, tools, and tech that will help us grow industries, not just cheap finished goods. We want factories here, not just warehouses.
If the Minister of Trade and Investment plays his cards right, and presents the right deal to the President, this could be a turning point. And if China is really as eager as it seems, they’ll approve it in a week. All we need to do is make sure Nigeria is smiling for the right reasons not because we got aid, but because we secured a smart, future focused deal.
Let’s get the sweet part of the deal while the timing is perfect. |

yes, you have an idea what I do, I have about 4 TVs connected to It, two in my parent's apartment two on my side, and a whole lot of other devices. I needed the extra bandwidth for other potential clients. QuoteJust1nce: 2Mbps * 3 devices = 6 Mbps maximum demand 6Mbps * 2 tenants = 12 Mbps maximum demand
Starlink on a bad day can still deliver nothing less than 50Mbps; leaving 38Mbps for you On a good day, 150 - 300Mbps is not unusual, leaving 138Mbps - 288Mbps for you
Note that data usage is unlimited. You might need to reconsider. While unlimited data at 10k/2Mbps x 3 devices per month might look good to them, there is still plenty on the table without hurting your own speed.
At least 4Mbps for a start per device; maxing it at 24Mbps or 10Mbps per SSID maxing out at 20Mbps This second option is preferred and each tenant can have their own SSID and share the 10Mbps speed how they like among their devices.
But if you're on the roaming plan and in Lagos; soon to be 167k; all bets are off! Good luck. |
Phones › Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by confluence: 5:56pm On Jan 26, 2025 |
What is horrible, you don't know what you are talking about, I have some of the tenants install kodi on their system and they stream virtually all DStv channels. Each tenant can connect up to 3 device each at that speed concurrently ORIJIN201: 2MBytes/s or 2Mbits/s. If it’s the latter then you are scamming your tenants. That’s horrible from you. |
Phones › Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by confluence: 5:49pm On Jan 26, 2025 |
Is 10k per month, speed is fantastic, as I give each tenant to connect up 3 devices each running at 2mbps, some of tenant do 3 to 3 gig download per day, when you add it up some are doing 20 to 25gig per month, because most times they use it mostly in the evening and weekend when at home. It is unlimited yes but cap at 2mbps maximum speed EduTechTainMent: 120k for a year subscription or what?
2Mbps is rather poor considering you have unlimited data. Or u mean they pay 120k/yr (10k/month) for unlimited data but capped at 2mbps. |
