OnyeObodo:

Sir I beg to differ. Swift has high speed unlimited internet at 25k a month. I have used severally.

I have gotten speeds of up to 10mbps.

I ask again, what do we really need 4k or 8k movies for when we are not oyibo?

Are you aware that 1080 movies are super clear not to talk of 2160?

If you observe, all my talks is geared towards non wastage of funds which this star link is all about.

What they offer is already offered by Swift and MTN at a far cheaper rate. Thanks.

For family of six, we live in North central Nigeria, I buy bulk raw food like beans, millets, and maize in sacks, then with that spend average of 15k per week . Madam got some other side covered, like g/oil, red oil and other stuff.

God has been faithful.
For those who can afford buying raw food in bulk, you can check on this guy shariff84 in the agriculture section. From my calculations you can save cost if you can buy raw food stuff during the season of plenty, I normally buy around December or January. Just advising oo no string attached

Politics / Re: Peter Obi Is Not Stingy- A rebuttal to Fr Mbaka's Claims (Photos) by confluence: 12:54pm On Jun 16, 2022
Aptly Said
Xbobtage:
Him being a stingy man is why I am voting for him. A stingy/financially prudent man is exactly what we need RIGHT NOW for this country to move forward. No more wastage, 1 Billion per month to feed ghost school Children. 1.9 Trillion to build free train in Niger Republic. All that madness, needs a stingy man to stop it.

The two current Major problems this country has is Cost of Governance and Corruption. As a poor country that is lacking the most basics of infrastructure we do not and can not afford to have 48 ministers each costing billions a month just to run their office, and over 50 special assistants requiring hundreds of millions a month, Ambassadors to every unnecessary country on earth requiring hundreds of millions a month, then another set of 40 something state level commissioners per state and 50 something Special advisers per state. If a lot of these offices are merged into fewer offices, Nigeria will be saving trillions per year and then those longterm politicians without Political appointments will be forced to enter the labor market and open businesses with their loot, thereby creating more employment. Only a stingy man at heart can understand and create this ripple effect, Obi is that man.

Obi is not just a stingy man with 150 cows and no Academic Qualification, but he is a Mega Business man, a wealth creator, Largest Shopping center in Rivers State, One of the largest Shopping Center in Abuja amongst many other Multi Billion Naira companies, Former MD of Fidelilty Bank, turned the Bank into One of Nigerias Biggest. Peter Obi is an Alumni of some of Top Higher institutions on the planet, Harvard Business School, the London School of Economics, Columbia Business School, the International Institute for Management Development, Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, Business School of Oxford University, Business School of Cambridge University. He knows and understands the value of Billions and where to put it. And a stingy man because of his nature will automatically make it very difficult for corruption to thrive. If the Nigerian Military is receiving the right funding that it deserves, trust me Bokoharam and other terrorist groups in Nigeria will feel the difference. Even a lot of these terrorist and criminals you see disturbing the peace in Nigeria is caused by poverty and economic frustration. A better funded military machine and better economy is how we fight them.

Lastly, Peter Obi is a simple man, if you are a frequent flier in Nigeria, you would/could have met him as an ex governor at the airport carrying his own bag standing alone in queue like every other nigerian. Just like Dangote used to be in the 90s and 2000s. He is the only other ex-governor or High profile nigerian politician that you would have met doing that. As an older man, that is what I want my children to see, copy and emulate. We want our children to know that there is Honour in simplicity. Thats how we fight against this need to be an oppressor and Yahoo Yahoo mindset amongst our youths, by empowering simple people to leadership positions.

Foreign Affairs / Egypt Signs €8 Billion Deal With Siemens For High-speed Rail System by confluence: 5:40pm On May 29, 2022
The German company said it has sealed the biggest order in its history to build the world's sixth-largest rail network. Tracks will connect cities along the Nile with the Red and Mediterranean seas.

The German industrial group Siemens said on Saturday evening that it had agreed on a deal to construct 2,000 kilometers (1,243 miles) of high-speed rail lines across Egypt.

The deal, which is worth €8.1 billion ($8.7 billion), is the biggest order in the Munich-based company's 175-year history.

The contract includes, besides the rail lines, 41 high-speed trains, 94 regional trains, 41 freight trains, and eight depots and freight stations. It also stipulates that Siemens will be responsible for maintenance for 15 years.

The mega-project aims to connect 60 cities by train, at speeds of up to 230 kilometers per hour, providing rail access to around 90% of the population, according to Siemens.Company promises 40,000 jobs
The second stretch of track, a total of 1,100 kilometers, will connect the capital Cairo with the southern city of Abu Simbel, close to the border with Sudan, and pass through settlements along the Nile.

The third will run from the central city of Luxor to the coastal city of Hurghada, covering some 225 kilometers, aiding in the transport of goods from the Mediterranean to the key port of Safaga.

Siemens said that the project will create some 40,000 jobs in Egypt, as well as an extra 6,700 jobs in connected industries.

The company also claimed that the fully electrified network would lower CO2 output by around 70% in comparison to journeys made by bus or car.

@ Op you just nailed it big time the mess currently Nigerian families are going through. Just like someone wrote that most Nigerian parents are hypocrites . I know of a boy who has worked with me before some 5 or 6 years ago whose currently rides Lexus RX 350, I was informed by another one of his friends who also worked with me, this one will tell me oga , wetin we de do you know fit do am, that has been his response and the one i said rides Lexus avoid me when ever he is in town because I know too well and until today the dad still rides a jicheng machine and still struggling with life. Instead of parents to ask questions we just pretend as if nothing happens,
