Politics › Re: Food Crisis: Register For N40,000 Rice - FG Tells Public Servants by confluence: 6:58am On Aug 06, 2024
Very wrong and useless policy all time, what is the percentage of the public servant compare to the whole of Nigerians who are not civil servants. This cannot work ,open borders let there be massive food importation to crash crazy high cost food prices across the nation
Politics › Re: Hold All Government Officials Accountable, Not Just Tinubu - Odewaleadesoye by confluence: 6:52am On Aug 06, 2024
Aptly said, we lack strong institutions to enforce check and balances at all tiers of level of government
mrvitalis:
This is stupid talk

What is wrong with Nigeria is poor fiscal n monetary policy ... None of which a governor can effect

Most people make the mistake that things are expensive na things have never been this cheaper

Nigerians have just been made poorer by tinubu poorly planned policies
Politics › Re: Why Fuel Importers Will Frustrate Dangote – Obasanjo by confluence: 6:48am On Aug 06, 2024
Stop saying shit , He has said it several times those refineries are not going to work, which is very obvious but the vampire APC government has refused to listen
EponObi:
See how Baba Iyabo dey talk like say the rot and mess we are experiencing today didn't start with him.

He's talking about Nigeria putting all her eggs in one basket. Lol. What did he do to diversify our economy as a military head of state and the first and a two-term president after 1999? The man even pushed a third term agenda.

Didn't everyone of them since 1960 abandoned agriculture and chased after oil money?

"I believe we made a very, very deadly mistake" - No sir, I believe YOU made a very, very deadly mistake.

When you invited Shell and they told you about the corruption ruining our refineries, sir, what did you do with the power given to you by the people to crush the cabal and rot in our oil industry? You were president for 8 years, what did you do to put the interest of the people as priority? What efforts did you make to change the trajectory of the NNPC for the benefit of the common Nigerians?

OBJ is saying shit, with all due respect. This is the person some idiots are rallying around because the man they hate so much became president.

Tinubu's bad policies implementions aside, at least for the first time since 1960, we have a brave president who has the political will, muscle, and clout to repurpose our economy. And if the APC had allowed the GEJ the weakling remove the subsidy in 2011, we would have moved past this pain.

There's no going back from here, inshallah. The economy must be rejigged, no matter how pain and strenuous tbe process may be. History will remember Tinubu for not taking the easy route of padding our economy.

Politics › Re: Planned Protest: FG Begins To Sell 50kg Rice At N40,000 by confluence: 4:35am On Jul 30, 2024
Nobody is paying any price differential, open the damn border let food be imported to disgrace and curb the excesses of our farmers and middle men. Prices of rice and other food items are not that high even across border, a bag of rice across those border is still less than 20k, once it croses into Nigeria the govt impose tax or tarrif of 30k per bag
sidonlook:
The Nigerian government is not telling the whole truth.
Somebody is paying the difference in price and that is no other person but the government. That means government is subsidising the price for you to buy it at 40k.
Government is paying this subsidy with borrowed money and this will worsen Nigerian debt and the naira will fall or devalued further.
This can be done temporarily to douse the planned protest. It will bring a bugger problem in the nearest future.

Politics › Re: Food Prices To Crash In 180 Days – Agriculture Minister, Abubakar Kyari by confluence: 3:11pm On Jul 10, 2024
What most of you don't know is that, that is the harvesting period across most of the Northern part of the country, prices will generally be down. Useless Government scamming it's own citizens
