Good write up Op, I believe 100% in what you wrote up there, I usually remember in the past years there use to be some commissioners who use to represent the Kogi state government in the board of dangote, all of a sudden that just disappeared and no body was asking questions. No sane sitting Governor of kogi state will not be truly interested in the kind of revenue coming in to dangote . I think the right questions are being asked now

I think you are dumb
Even nairaland got some information regarding the repayment of some of the loans dangote took while building the company from scratch
https://www.nairaland.com/384660/dangote-liquidates-1.27bn-loans-10
I personally executed some project for some Indians while the project was on then
Aromeh360:

Lol, what do you know about kogi state, obajana was started n completed by audu, before it was acquired by Dangote.

If not your mumu, why'll you ask dangote website when obajana cement was opened
Politics / Re: Kogi Government Moves To Recover Obajana Cement Company From Dangote by confluence: 2:14pm On Oct 07, 2022
You don’t know what you are talking about
Google is your friend, see the tenure of abubakar Audu and see when the company was completed
Moymoy:

Audu built and completed Obajana before inviting Dangote.
Stop this revision of history. Not all of us on nairaland are students.

Politics / Re: Kogi Government Moves To Recover Obajana Cement Company From Dangote by confluence: 9:33am On Oct 07, 2022
The place was never built with Kogi state fund, all funds use for the building of the place came from a syndication of so many of Nigerian banks and world bank , so many billions of $$. The only issue I have with the setup is that Audu government conceived the idea and invited dangote, what transpired between them was never in the public domain and I believe also that the then house of assembly too were not carried along. Audu is dead now , we would have heard from him what transpired between him and dangote. It was rumoured that only paltry sum of 3% of the total company structure is what dangote allocated to Kogi government
Moymoy:

The company was built with Kogi State funds. The then governor, Abubakar Audu, made the decision to bring Dangote through the back door so that he could be a permanent landlord. Death came unexpectedly to truncate the return of Audu to government house and it's only right for Yahaya Bello to insist that the terms and conditions of the transfer of Obajana to Dangote be made public.
Politics / Re: Kogi Government Moves To Recover Obajana Cement Company From Dangote by confluence: 8:06am On Oct 07, 2022
This must be some sort of joke, I know there was lots of irregularities in the acquisition by dangote group. I could remember the funfair and celebrations when Audu as the Governor of the state brought loads of cement branded Kogi cement which was done for him by dangote cement. The fame and glory enjoyed by the Audu administration then has put the whole arrangement between Audu and dangote into serious scrutiny. This must be a great lessons for all who are in power to do the right thing, though I strongly believed that as at the time the project was conceived the Kogi state government does not have the financial war chest to finance such a great project .No sane Governor will not take time to study the survey analysis of the limestone deposits in that obajana / Oyoo axis, what each successive government does is look at the analysis and just dump the report .Instead of arranging qualified investors with proven track records, what our politicians do is to arrange with shady contractors who are not qualified in the first place, and all they do is to take kick back as bribes from this contractors and the projects goes into white elephant mode.

Politics / Re: Kogi Seals Dangote Cement Factory Over Tax Evasion, Debt (Pictures) by confluence: 11:42pm On Oct 05, 2022
This issue was once discussed here on nairaland, it’s a complex one Audu Abubakar started the company after necessary survey showed large deposit of limestone with a $78million loan from a European bank, all Audu did then was to rebag several loads of trailers of cement which was done for him by dangote company, I could remember that the venue was the Lokoja mini stadium . Rumours here and there said Audu pocket the 78 million $ he took because he realised the complex nature of building the company from scratch, a deal was sealed between Audu and dangote leaving Kogi state government with a paltry 3% ownership. The then house of assembly members under Audu should be held responsible, On the issue of tax evasion, I am aware that the local government under whose jurisdiction the cement company is collecting #1000 daily from every trailers that is loading cement daily, which is Lokoja local government, which Yahaya bello government has since collected from the local government which his government has been taking #1000 per trailer, some say yahaya bello increase it to 1500 now. It’s a complex issue because the government eye has opened to the kind of mad revenues dangote is making on a daily basis, one need to pass through the company and see the number of trailers loading cement on a daily basis
codemaniacs:

okay... but if it was state owned then the same house members would have been the ones to approve the sale... so why are pretending to be ignorant of a deal they participated in...

GDANSK, Sept 21 (Reuters) - One-way flights out of Russia were rocketing in price and selling out fast on Wednesday after President Vladimir Putin ordered the immediate call-up of 300,000 reservists.

Putin's announcement, made in an early-morning television address, raised fears that some men of fighting age would not be allowed to leave the country.

Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said the call-up would be limited to those with experience as professional soldiers, and that students and conscripts would not be called up

Food / Bought This Banana For #1200 by confluence: 5:16am On Aug 20, 2022
This morning I saw this thread where someone said he bought banana for #400.
I think it is expensive, I find time on market days here in Lokoja to buy some certain things from the market. I bought this banana for #1200 on market day. Seller said 3500, after bargaining eventually paid #1200 for it . The only stress here is cut them from the bunch and I wrap with black polythene nylon and keep it in a warm place to allow for natural ripening ,I think for the groundnut it’s the same price here in Lokoja

Are you on ajegunle ogogoro, Jonathan régime people were crying, crying that they could not eat or what, forget those rubbish you are spewing out, can you compare Jonathan regime to this monsters in power that has ruined every facet of life in Nigeria. Did you notice the rate of people begging even here on Nairaland to survive.
Richy4:
Honestly in my opinion, Jonathan's era was really really bad.. people were crying...A lot of people cannot afford to forget that easily... He ran out of options on what to do with Nigeria...

But this particular 'regime', people are not crying.. they are dying in their numbers...
The wind of 'change ' blew and swept away every normalcy...the little normal thing that was left from the wind of destruction, the party members used their APC brooms to sweep it in or out or under... Depending on their sweeping directions..

Imagine many Nigerians campaigning for a particular party without collecting anything.. that shows that they have had it up to the neck.. sad
