PoliticsRe: Reuben Abati Replies Tambuwal by confusion247(m): 9:51pm On Dec 11, 2013
AnanseK: Was Tambuwal the president at that time? It seems your brain is stuffed with akpu (or is it ak-poo?)
So he need to be the president before suspend a house member that took bribe? What prevents him from summoning EFCC chairman if the fight against corruption is not achieving the desired results?
PoliticsRe: Reuben Abati Replies Tambuwal by confusion247(m): 9:45pm On Dec 11, 2013
Billyonaire: Tambuwal is unserious, how can a Speaker of House of Assembly, make allegation based on "Body Language", is Tambuwa a behavior therapist ? I often say, if you want a man to fail, tell him to talk. Tambuwal opened his mouth and failure comes out.

#Body Language is trending
That Farouk Lawal is sitting with Tambuwal in that house of rogues is an evidence that Tambuwal is a failure. Tambuwal should start by denouncing his jumbo pay and numerous allowances. As far as you condemn or criticize Jonathan, you are a progressive.

Foreign AffairsRe: 91 Heads Of State To Attend Mandela's Memorial Service by confusion247(m): 12:29pm On Dec 10, 2013
They hypocrisy of this world and her leaders surprises me. During that struggle, USA and BRITAIN supported Apartheid and labeled Mandela as a terrorist but when Mandela succeeded he became a hero. If a coup plotter succeeded he will become a hero and a leader but if he fails he will be labeled as a traitor and his surname will be sorry. I am sure if imam shekea succeeds with his boko haram agenda, hypocritical world leaders will regard him ad a freedom fighter. If Ojukwu was successful with Biafra, many world leaders that opposed his struggle and ideas would be the first to call him a hero.
How I wish the spirit of Mandela will just wake up and slap all those that didn't support his noble struggle in those days but were praising him today.
Rest In Peace Madiba.
This is absurd and uncalled for. Someone said something reasonable and one of the mods hid his post. Does it mean that we don't have the freedom to speak our minds anymore?
Freedom of speech on nairaland is your ability to abuse Jonathan and PDP. If your comment goes contrary to what APC said about him, your post will be hidden. May be all those hidden post congratulated Jonathan for being in south Africa.

berem: Good innovation. But must the people of the southeast depend on FG for that? Nothing have been heard of the second niger bridge. What's the possibility that Jonathan will fulfill this dream of a seaport?
So the people of south east are no longer part of hypocritical Nigeria? So only northerners has the right to depend the federal government? Kindly tell us what federal government have done in the south east from Obasanjo's era till today.

Rasheed02: By the grace of God,you shall never become a leader in Nigeria,so because u have got some stinking change in ur monkey pocket,u think d nxt thing u can do nw is to sarcastically make jest of ppl who sees nairaland as a voice for the voiceless nigerians.this dollop-head is one of those killing d confidence of our youths in voicing their dismay at the exploitative nature of our communication companies among other social decays.so,d fact that Airtel general data plans are fairly cheaper than her counterparts is an excuse for blocking a plan that is indisposable to all and sundry? Why are you not fighting other networks that didn't allow this service to run for just one month? Is it a must that airtel must allow the service to run? How about other network operators?
PhonesRe: This Airtel Backlash Is Misguided! by confusion247(m): 10:51pm On Dec 05, 2013
Heavenly Bang: A dick, OP.
Go choke on one.
Your having spare cash doesn't mean you have to come out and spout shit about others.
I saw the 'cheap android phones' line. Are you one of those BB users who are still butthurt about Tecno's upheaval of the mobile phone industry?
Get out, OP. Fegs aren't needed here.
This is not about calling the OP names or using abusive words towards him, it is all about facing the reality on ground. Our threats about breaking airtel's sim card here will never make airtel to change the policy. If we all will channel our energy to make telecom operators reduce subscription charges and increase the data cap, we might achieve something.
PhonesRe: This Airtel Backlash Is Misguided! by confusion247(m): 10:45pm On Dec 05, 2013
texazzpete: Airtel does N2000 per month for 500MB, for example. Since low cost Android smartphones are sweeping the market now, and these are data intensive, I'd suggest doubling this to N2000 for 750MB. It's currently N1000 for 200MB, perhaps an upgrade to 350MB?

Nigerian data plans aren't the most expensive in the world, but we DO have a significant population that aren't too well off.

Either way, this isn't an issue for me since I always go for the large data caps (Etisalat 8GB for N8k, shared between my phone and my iPad).
Please kindly throw more light on how to share etisalat data plan.
PhonesRe: This Airtel Backlash Is Misguided! by confusion247(m): 10:41pm On Dec 05, 2013
kilo234: the op is so on point. but i blame airtel to have let us known b4 blocking it, they should have just blocked it without letting us know as mtn has been doing ever since
Airtel acted in a professional way by informing its subscribers before blocking it. That's an evidence to prove that they value their customers.

Reference: Well you can pay a courtesy call to the Plateau and ask Gowon, then to Abeokuta hilltop, Minna hilltop(s), APC hq. and a couple of grave sides in Kano. Ask them how they could not invest in social amenities and feather the nest of the golden egg laying goose. 50 years of neglect, 50 years of leaving kerosine drenched children to play with matches created the Asaris of today. Sorry. People are not poor for lack of opportunities but wasted ones. It is so, so ironic that the education he and others were denied that would have made his likes more cultured and hence acceptable to his stiff upper-lipped critics is his primary drive today. Yet he is still criticised. Some will never see the elephant even if it sat on their heads.
They are nor seeing the elephant because Asari called for disintegration of Hypocritical One Nigeria. You and I knew that northerners and their western slaves hates that word "disintegration" with passion.

olabukola: all seaport and airport in Yoruba nation belongs to us. Anything in ur region belongs to you. It's only oil that we sit and talk/negotiate how to share the revenue. National debt also will be shared. Since the north claims higher population they will get high share of the debt.
Oil belongs to Niger delta people and other regions that it was located. As for dept, it will be shared as you said. Disintegration is the answer.

tsmack: Orishirishi!!!

The question is who is to blame?

i. The journalists who give noise makers like these audience or the publishers who publish them for lack of better content
ii. The social media that ensures that some nonsense (from people who have no value to add) makes news
iii. The youths who only celebrate noise makers and people with money (irrespective of whether they are thieves and or people with questionable character)
iv. The Oil Companies who continue to dish out millions of Naira to people like these (for the sake of peace) instead of directing the money towards projects with lasting social and economic impact
v. or The Nigerian Government who lacks the will to fight corruption and try people like this for treason
Blame hypocritical One Nigeria. If this man declares for APC tomorrow, he will be labeled as a hero of all times. We all know that Nigeria is not one and can never be. I am sure it was that aspect of this write up that is disturbing you so much. Disintegration is the answer. Marriage is not by force.

Themaingate: impossible ?

that word is not in our dictionary in Nigeria

is it possible for NEPA not to give you power for even 5minutes in a month yet they bill you 20,000 monthly ?

is it possible for Doyin Okupe to be working with GEJ now ?

is it possible for the head of custom to tell the senate he does not know the volume of crude oil being exported and imported daily ?

is it possible for a seating president to have sex with his son wife ?

YOU BETTER BOOK THE NEXT FLIGHT TO 9JA TO SEE WITH YOUR OWN EYES
I will pretend I didn't see this.

It made front page because traffic to this site have reduced drastically and all hands are on deck to use every possible means to make airtel reverse their decision.

dheaven: Stoping blackberry internet service on non blackBerry device cannot kill Airtel rather it will improve their service cos they will now have a superfast internet service which pple will be willing to pay for. Too much users is making their service poor. Airtel now wishes to focus on quality and not quantity as mtn is doin presently. Though i will advise they look for a way to improve their service and make their data service cheaper as it is in other countries
That's the simple truth. It is obvious that some people have refused to accept the reality on ground. Airtel was even merciful for allowing the service to run for almost a year while other service providers didn't allow it to run for two months.

I laugh at this thread! !

I'm out! !!!!
My guy don't just laugh at them, pity their ignorance as well. They are just pouring out their frustration to artel. If they have a little thinking faculty, they should have known that airtel is not a charity organization but an enterprise that is out to make gains. If that service is benefiting airtel, they will never stop it. Even other service providers wouldn't have stopped it earlier too. Airtel have been in existence before this service and will continue to be in service without the service.
No amount of crying on nairaland will make airtel change their mind.
I congratulate them for their professionalism in informing their customers before stopping the service.
Other networks didn't even inform anybody before they stopped it.
