remi4ever:Your vehicle will not heat up to operating temperature quickly with that hole plugged. If you use a thermostat and don't want to be wasting 1 - 2 litres of fuel every morning after a cold start you better open up the hole back and plug in that pipe. On the other hand, the reason engine oil is getting tucked into your throttle body via that hole is possibly due to a clogged PCV valve. Either clean it or change it so the issue goes away. |

Halahhalah:@Barbiturate Don't contact this troll 😒 there is absolutely nothing to gain from him and much to lose Later, small argument he will carry your privacy and open it to everyone for no reason 🙄 Very childish imp |
eginaP:Better park and wait. That your gearbox price is too heavy on my mouth right now if not I would have mentioned it here |
Nifemi2020:Na real wah But it's an option. So check your pockets and know your next move. 1. Buy the EOD at highest 2.5m clean 9ja used and convert with 1m Or 2. Cough out over 5m to buy a 'kute-kute' tokumbo 3cylinder engine mini car to use and hustle ![]() Your poison awaits your choosing but realize that with the steady increase in petrol price and the stagnant fares on the ride share apps you'd still be able to float above over 90% of the other drivers on the roads 😀 Win - Win 🏆 |
izzou:Hehehe lol 😆 @ the bolded above . . . That is the PARADOX of emilokan's nijeriya for you and me DonB can never have an answer for such a question. Don't hold your breath too long ![]() |

donbrowser:You're replying a well known troll who is the cause for the stagnation of this thread even after he went to your privacy and decimated it by posting your details here? You think such a person means well for you or wants to teach you anything new or helpful in your life? I'm even seeing some recommendations to dash him money here ![]() Troll go drop akant details to collect him giveaway very soon to the same pearl he has abused over and over again wait let sterling bank and pearl settle fest lolComedy 😃 |
eginaP:Better contact luvinhubby here and pay him for just one liter of original DW-1 and use it to top off. Stop driving it till then. No carry that gearbox play |
What car? What type of engine? I once switched from mobil1 to Petrocam and after 3,000 kilometres my engine developed 'piston slap' and I had to drain it out and put in mobil 5w30 before my engine got itself again. My engine uses 5w20 from factory but I now use 5w30 semi-synthetic. 3 years down the line and no issues. Just regular drain and refil at 4 - 5k kilometres. i suggest you do the same |
Barbiturate:So after all this back and forth 'table tennis' 🏓 that the government and dangote are playing right now in front of all our faces, things are still yet to dawn on you that the price of fuel is going to be higher than N950 at the pumps? What's the difference between 950 and 1,000? Just kuku 'round it up' and call it a week ![]() |
Fuel pump price is now settled at N1,000 per liter EXACTLY AS I FORETOLD ![]() Just letting you all know what's up and what's ABOUT TO COME ![]() |
Omoapena:Nobody is trolling or hating you they are only telling you the reality which you are adamantly refusing to accept for reasons best known to you. Just like how they all advised you against the 'big man' who almost took you to the abroad but you never listened till it hit you in the face. You're an okay guy oh . . . But you will still remain a Broda Benad to many of us here ![]() No too vex for my input, me im not beefing you Remember you're more intelligent than me ![]() |
Barbiturate:Just round it up to 1,000 ![]() For easy recording to various people's expenses columns ![]() |
izzou:If there's still no clarity on the wages workers will be receiving (minimum wage increase) at the same time then then I am afraid things will get worse. It will bring a scenario where there would be more drivers (due to juicy fares) and less passengers (due to subpar salary increments) The fastest fingers tappings that time ehn . . . Even HAMSTER KOMBAT Go dey learn work dem suzuki boys go just close eye dey collect every because their own bread go don dey buttered with enough milk and honey that time ![]() It would be better yes, but you'd still be at a greater disadvantage compared to those guys who spend way less on fueling their vehicles |
pope191:And they will be the only ones to keep caking until fuel prices go lower OR men are able to 'downgrade' their current vehicles to those with smaller engines. Anything apart from the above is just a pipe dream in today's nigeria . Well, unless . . . you sabi every naw no need to trumpet it too much again at this point |
I really pity those who live outside lagos at this moment. If Fuel gets to N1,000 per liter here then it would surely be at least N1,500 in other states in the south and almost N1,800 in the north. Many people ARE SOON TO BE FINISHED in this nigeria we are managing I swear |
Susantice:Hmmm, very I like your belief but . . . Hmmmm When minimum wage is 70k (which many states are still thinking of how to pay) Just HMMMM ![]() |
Barbiturate:I understand the expense is much right now but let me make some few truths known to you tonight . . . 1. Ehailing will not end in nigeria, there will always be demand 2. Price of fuel will keep rising no matter how hard we pray 3. No matter how high the price of fuel gets per liter CNG's price (pound for pound) will never rise up to 30% of the price of fuel per liter 4. Conversion of engines from petrol to CNG is being regulated today both in installation and material standards by the federal government 5. As the price of fuel gets higher, my igbo brothers will later start importing their own conversion kits for sale in our open markets 6. Our 'kazeems' who feel adventurous will start offering their own conversion services soon 7. The combination of items 5 & 6 above will definitely lead to an increase in the risks associated with CNG use in our vehicles (engine deaths & explosions due to incompetency or substandard materials) 8. YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE AT THE LAST 3 POINTS LISTED ABOVE so you see brotherly. It is best to bite the bullet now and save up/cough out the 1 million to do a conversion and keep using your full sized luxury sedan for family and business than to shell out above 5 million naira later to buy a vehicle akin to the Toyota starlet or suzuki espresso that can't even carry a family of 5 comfortably all in the name of reduced fuel consumption (while keeping in mind that the CNG conversion will make using and maintaining your present 2.4L camry MORE cost effective than using any other smaller vehicle) Bros, advantages yampian |
Barbiturate:Are you serious with ehailing? Using a 2.4L engine? Then my brother CNG is your new best friend 🧡 Embrace it while it's still government regulated. Once this fuel issue worsens it will get out of hand |
ksmart027:It's a burning topic, discussions shouldn't just end like that jor. Let the discussions continue thread too dry 😴 |
komodapson:Yes you're right, ehailing isn't what it used to be but the reason why such a thread as this was created was so that we can all brainstorm new ideas and carry each other along as well. No matter what the government does to frustrate drivers one thing is bound to remain certain and that is the fact that TRANSPORTATION IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE A BASIC NECESSITY FOR EVERYBODY so why throw in the towel only to give the next man your slot to achieve what was destined to be yours 🤷 Example, on the telegram thread today I was lamenting about how much fuel I had to buy to travel from the east to lagos last week, I AM STILL REELING FROM IT'S EFFECT ON MY WALLET and I was letting them know that as regular transporters they should start thinking of this CNG initiative on time because the fuel price can only get higher from here on out. These are the kind of things we need to talk about now as it directly affects us here in pursuit of our daily bread. It really hurt to know there is another place where such a discussion is ongoing that isn't 'right here', i mean, for heavens sake this thread Anyhow sha, I wish all pilots well in tackling this new monster within our midst in the name of 'rising fuel prices' ⛽️ |
