Even US wont have opened DECEMBER dates by now.....

Just saying though, but thats Crazy....

I once checked the US, it’s free. You don’t even need to book a rendezvous Or suffer to call . You can walk in to the VFS & do biometrics in minutes.
But know Africa & migration.

As you are applying to rare colleges or schools. Pls make sure the DLI is in CIC website o.

This is in the constitution. The DLI has a reference number. But institution plays a roll regardless of your sweet bank statement & outstanding affidavit.

and also,

Search for more I.T related PG.Cert course of your choice in the SEARCH BOX of those links above

- As Regards English Test Requirement you see on school websites, ignore it if you are a NIGERIAN

If u are a NIGERIAN, u don't need an English Test to apply for a PG.Cert in Canada, NIGERIA is an English Speaking Country & ur medium of instruction from the University/Polytechnic is English etc

IELTS (English Test) for admission in Canada are meant for countries whose language or official language is not ENGLISH e.g India, China, Philippine , Vietnam etc.

If the school u graduated from is opened (Registrar Office) , U can get an English Test Waiver/Exemption letter from them I.e LETTER OF CONFIRMATION OF PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Would also recommend this institution. Southern Albert Institution of Technology (SAIT) Calgary, AB. But the fees is high. It is a polytechnic not a college. If you got Ordinary level English, you don’t need IELTS. I don’t know what It is called in your country. You can get an English proficiency. Go in for the May 2021 session. Admissions commence in October.
Admission isn’t tough.
With a good affidavit, you would comment here With a study permit.
Hope this helps.

Not exactly true. Quebec is bi-lingua; they speak both English and French. I can't make two sentences in French but I have a fully funded PhD offer in a Quebec-based University.

Wow. I love us to argue & fight on this. Can you swear of Quebec being bilingual? I’m from Cameroon & it’s often said Cameroon is bilingual but no. It’s not. It’s just on paper. Come here & you will fill it. Anglophones are thé minority.

Same with Canada but the reverse.
Quebec is mostly occupied with francophonie (French africa - Gabon, Ivory Coast, Congo, DRC, Chad, Algeria... France ...) Very few English speaking.

Cameroon and Canada are to be the only 2 bilingual countries in the world but forget that paper talk please.

Very good points, especially on the schools. We hardly see discussions on UBC, uToronto, uVictoria, McGill, McMaster and Western here. Those schools, though relatively more expensive, tend to have fewer rejected applicants. However, getting into them is a subject for another day.

As for regions, Nigerians are flooding Ontario and Newfoundland. What happened to Quebec, Yukun, New Brunswick, etc? After all, there are even colleges in the Northwest territories.

However, getting into them is a subject for another day. Hahaha. This got me rolling.

Yeah. They are strict and good at digging. Their recommendations required from your institution & not you. Difficult to play them.
They want to keep their prestigious & outstanding profile regardless of the high tuition.

The embassy knows what it takes to get into such institutions & the high tuition as well so applicants from such institutions got some little favor but build a good affidavit regardless.

I have Mail requests recently that queries on if Institutions also determine your Approval or Rejection...

I will only write based on my own information and assessments , anything i right is basically my opinion , because there are some warriors here!

YES! the institution you choose is greatly an asset,

There are institutions that are rarely or have never been mentioned here, Nigerians do like Sugar-Ants, Mr A applied to this school and got visa, Mr B applied to this school and got rejection, then that means that the school that has more rejections is worse than the other school.
If there are too many applications(Nigerians) for visa coming from a particular school, trust me rejections will increase on that school, Take for instance "Colleges", it is almost impossible to get a visa for study there , even if you pay 6 Years tuition fees.

Area/Location--- Nigerians also choose schools depending on location, Cheap place, place wey no too cold, place wey dem no dey speak french but English etc, From observation it hampers your approvals because it may rather become a territory.

School fees--- We choose schools depending on the fees, as cheap as it gets , it gets more applications, like i said earlier there are schools that have never been mentioned here, like school of 50,000CAD.....30k to 40k CAD,...... but the truth is that this schools will get you an approval easily , from strong convictions if you have evidence that you can pay this fees and sustain your self there .

This things is all about money and Your capacity, they are also worried about your plans but more interested in what you will be offering in Canada too, either way. this is a WIN-WIN situation for anyone heading to Canada but how about the people that are to decide if this happens , The VOs?

You just rewrote other parts of the scriptures people often over look when it comes to applying for a study permit.

Wished I could see in person to tell you I admire how you pour out your assertions.
Know not everyone would adhere to it but I stand firm and say YES, IT’s 98% accurate.
You seem to write out my mind some times.

Referencing to schools, SENACA college particularly isn’t resting. I think people go in they because it’s affordable & I told someone this too
When choosing a school, go for a rare.
I know some schools which everyone who applied got a visa, I don’t know of any who got refusal but the tuition is quite high.

I will say like you, the institution you pick & what province it’s located plays a role in your visa acceptance / denial.

Hi@jbreezy,

I can't refuse the urge to respond to your post and am sorry if some aspects of my response sound harsh. I have my reasons for apologizing in advance and also hope I am not breaching any rules of this platform.

Unless you are the son of Dangote or you bought your 1st Class Degree from a Nigerian university in Electrical Engineering, please don't sell yourself short.

You don't know how much pressure a scholarship takes off your shoulder and what other productive things you can do with your own resources until you study on scholarship. Not to even talk about the prestige and fringe opportunities that comes with being a "scholar". If not for the situation we find ourselves in this country, how will a first class product even ever think of paying for advance studies again? My brother/sister, you have already paid your dues by that achievement IF YOUR POST IS TRUE and you earned every point that leading to the award of that degree.

What you need is a good preparation during the gap year. This will typically include any or some of these; NYSC, good GMAT/GRE/IELTS scores, research experience or publications (even just a proof of article acceptance or conference presentation) of your bachelors research, and a solid research proposal/statement of research intent. Then you get a good application packaged for admission into a couple of top ranking schools (MCGills, Toronto, UBC), a few more into mid-ranking institutions and another couple into safety schools (those you are 99.99% sure of getting admitted). You can't miss it. Get your scholarship(s) and ride on. Payment for multiple transcripts, couriers and application fees should not be a problem judging by your post.

With a 1st class engineering degree and perfect admission application, you may even be able to get direct PhD offer plus funding or one with joint Msc/Phd route. You wont know your real worth until you give it a try. What can you lose by trying? NOTHING.

Cheers!

I read your comment & had goose bumps. Why !!!
I was with a friend 30 minutes ago and I said this same thing to him. His kiddo had 23 points, a brain box & has been wasting sitting home. He intends her to further at a wacky institution in our country & I advices him to look for a scholarship program & I will help out.
Ooh ooh. Happy you wrote this. That brain box shouldn’t rust here. BETTER BRAIN DRAIN By the white man than remain in Africa & rust.

Kenya VAC opens September 9th
Is this good news for paper applications ?

Wow. Nice. PresentLY, The Embassies are reopening but the VAC centers are not.
Each embassy controls it region. For instance, Senegal opened Monday 31st.
Sure Kenya has an embassy and not a VAC center so they are reopening.
I think people with paper applications can check in at the courrier service.

$430 for medicals? shocked shocked shocked. Haba na. That's over N120,000. Is it IOM that charges that amount or what? That's serious.

Should be more than even. You don’t do medicals here unless instructed by the embassy or you shall waste your money. No matter how desperate you are, chill Till the embassy instructs you.
Our Chief Correspondence is Senegal & they control the whole Francophonie (about 14 countries) including some other countries.
If you submit paper Senegal treats your file. What these countries including us have is just IMO.
Online, Paris does but your file would somehow revert to Senegal because that’s where your passport is emitted to be stamped and biometrics.

You guys procedure seem different. You don’t do medicals in our country unless instructed to do. Again, if you are told to do médicals, 95% you get the visa. It’s 430CAD so you can’t just do.
What you are required to do is Biometrics.

One more thing. Always make sure that you sign the family declaration form. Hand signed. Print, then sign. I didn't sign this form in my first application. So, I strongly believe that it affected the last year's application. This could be the reason for. ***NO FAMILY TIE in HOME COUNTRY****.

It’s been stated clearly. If you are submitting online, you don’t need to sign any of your forms. You will be requested to sign digitally. Don’t print out anything form. Just upload. Make sure you Fill correctly and have dates inputted & N/A where applicable. Go through about 3 times. This has been outlined.
Printing that form to sign would be dirty work.

Hi Eficator,
Congratulations on your admission to University of Saskatchewan.
Proof of funds : You can definitely apply with 1 year of living expense (i.e.,5million naira- $10,000) + 1 year of tuition fee + some extra charges.
They have accepted applications with fewer funds but its better to be safe from the beginning.
I believe your parents can actually stand as your main sponsor while the MaJ gen can be your Co-sponsor provided he’s willing to write a letter of sponsorship stating why he’s sponsoring you, the relationship he has with you, what he stand to gain after and all.
You need to proof that he has been of help to you in the past too, a simple screen shot of a certain amount he sent to you some years/months ago should do.

P.S.The above answers are just my thoughts/opinions.

All the bestest Sir/Ma’

Can this be a problem for me In future when processing my masters

Your name has no issue. Canada reverses your Prenom and Nom. It’s all good. I’m from Cameroon. Have seen this with a couple of people from their schools.
Make sure you follow this when applying for your visa. Check your Prenom and Nom on your ID / Passport. You will get to understand proper.

AIP only is not a sure guarantee for final approval as boldly spelt out by IRCC. But AIP with MER is almost a confirmation of receiving a positive decision.

All that is done here as regard to AIP including mine are mere speculations based on individual research and observations which may or not be in favour of our laid theory. Hence may make us say you were wrong and I was right. I don't know but I think nobody can authoritatively say a gotten information was shared by a VO in confidence to the person's discretion.

So, it may not be right to use too many definite words when sharing certain information especially in regards to this AIP thingy whether you are very sure or not. If anyone has taken time out to read from IRCC website, therein, you may realize the reason why IRCC uses words like may, could, if and the likes even when they understand this rules clearly.

Make we rest for this matter. People must surely get approval and many refusal go still dey wella. From the onset, refusal dey always plenty pass approval. For this debate, we all duh do well to support and oppose. This duh make people wet no be get the deep understanding about this AIP know the two sides.

Please bear if I talk rubblish, election matter nahim dey hot for Edo State now and I dey location wan try cash out. As you see am the reason for the rubblish.

Please, lets not derail the thread with arguments but information. As for those that have requested for their GCMS notes, please endeavour to share so we can at least know what's going on. Oh, Indians!! These people to cooperate for IRCC matter.

As of 31st August, 2020 eehhh! I have counted about 7 refusals whose GcKey account still shows the normal under review et al. They were all July 19th downwards applicants. All without AIP. The notes will provide more clarity.

Its well

you speak with ease. Normal tempo.
Those Indians, they don’t sleep. I’m in one of their forums. Updates & webinars all the time. Can’t even read. They wrote a petition about 25,000 of them to the Canadian government recently.
They corporate hell.
Let’s be positive & read before you deposit guys. Don’t be all in a rush. Take your time. You will discover meaning misfits & adjust.

The rejections would always be more than the Accepted as the records hold it.

Hello House,
Is there anyone who did upfront medical on August 22, 2020 at QLife after submitting online application (but before medical request from IRCC) whose IRCC status has reflected positively?
I did my upfront medical on said day and notified IRCC via web form (they acknowledged receipt of eMedical sheet 7 days later and said they have forwarded to relevant visa office and advised I notify Nairobi visa office where my file is). I have called QLife and they confirmed uploading my medical to e Medical on August 29, 2020.

My timeline for Spring (May) 2021 admission
Applied online on July 21, 2020
BIL On July 21, 2020
Biometrics done on August 24, 2020 ( reflected on my IRCC profile "Biometrics Completed"wink
Upfront medical done on August 22, 2020.

What next? Gurus @FrankRobbn, @Lekiboboe @rebeccausoro @Osemigho etc come to my aid with advice

Relax. Come on. You submit and want a La la response ? But I know one thing, you will get Your Visa.
You picked May 2021 session. Come rain, come sun. This covid should have gone low or countries must have pushed for things to go back to old times.
They have enough time for them to do background checks on you and more.
Put a on blind eye on this now, do something else.

BUT FOR ME! i rather defer, get a rejection or approval with my money intact than play 50/50 chances with my AIP when Fanshawe College clearly stated i'm not allowed to start online classes without my SP because they won't refund if for any reason I get denied.

I'm just gonna sit and watch how this AIP thingy unfolds.....Highest if na rejection i have my cash intact na to reapply or stay back in Europe than make person dey tell me eeyah sorry oo.

Your approach is good for me.
Don’t be in a hurry for online studies & later get rejected after you have paid your Tuition.
Some schools are already pinning people to pay tuition.
You shall See complains when people start getting refusals & people saying they aren’t getting refunds because they began their classes.

Well, I think the restlessness is creeping in as a result of waiting so long for update and final decision. While the internet has numerous benefits which many of us has benefitted from in one way or the other, it is also rife with farce and sham news which the aim of the perpetrators is not farfetched.

This document that claims that a receiver of AIP was denied has been circulated from one platform to the other and many have claimed it to be largely doctored. This claim holds water since we are yet to see any other such occurrence. So do not say that many have paid fees after getting AIP and are now getting rejection. It won't be surprising that it's just one of the umpteenth fake documents online—one with basic knowledge of htmls could come up with something like that even the one showing rejection without biometrics. I'm not asserting that these documents are fake, try to listen to what I am not saying.

Tellingly, IRCC might be delaying sending out final decisions until a chunk of people who are yet to enroll for the biometrics do so; a measure that would align with the current battle against the novel Covid-19. As it has been iterated on this platform, AIPs and medical requests are major plusses and if you're yet to get one, keep the hope alive.

I believe it is important to stay calm at this moment and see how everything pans out instead of trying to predict what may not exist. Some applicants have waited since January, it's just 14days to September 15th and staying unperturbed despite the rumors would greatly help everyone.

Let us be calming down. May the month be fulfilling by God's grace.

You are much admired by me. Thanks but some times, be straight bro and don’t mix it. Tell as it is.
