Is it possible CIC is delaying mailing out refusal letters so as to reduce the amount of people reapplying at this point when they have huge workload

Hello Everyone,

I have applied for my study visa and also resumed online classes last week. But I still work full time here in Nigeria.

Must I resign from my current job to continue with the online studies.

If I don't resign, will it have any negative impact on my application.

Thank you

I read somewhere that you can continue working in your home country while you’re doing your online classes.

I have reviewed the application. Given family ties or economic motives to remain in Canada, the applicant's incentives to remain in Canada may outweight their ties vto their home country. According to the applicant's current or future employment prospects, i have accorded less weight to their employment ties to their country of residence. Weighing the factors in this application, i am not satisfied that the applicant's will depart Canada ar the end of the period authorized for their stay. Eligibility failed. pending Biometrics. please gurus this are their reason for denying my visa. what will i do? i need your advice to go about it. should i re apply. please help me out. tanx for ur great innovations

Your failed eligibility was on the basis of the bolded. Employment is a key tie and prospect to any application. work on that area and refire. like they always say "it will end in praises"

your current occupation and future prospect if the occupation in nigeria makes you more of an economic migrant than student. do a masters here, and apply for express entry later

From berger, enter obalende, from obalende enter lekki/ajah, drop at third roundabout, cross to the other side. Ask for manor hall. Good luck

The purpose of visit is from the diploma. Why is she going for a diploma and not a PGD.
The finances either her uncle or mum can transfer the money to her account .
Is she currently working? Did she submit a cv showing that shes currently working

Is the intended course related to your present experience or bsc.
Is the course offered in nigeria?

Went in for a Diploma / HND
Yes. I think Linguistics is related to journalism.
Unless in universities, Very difficult to find journalism done in private institutions in Cameroon as in a professional.

Please do it take for the GCMS to be delivered.

I said it before when people were speculating on the first stage approvals. Until we see the complete picture of things, we shouldn't be quick to conclude. Since the first week of August, Nigerians have hardly gotten the AIP. However, some of us came to hasty generalisations based on the AIP "rain" we received then. Despite the balancing of things as it would appear now, I am still not conclusive about the entire situation. We should always keep an open mind and prepare for our prior notions about Canadian immigration to be upended by the new realities of Covid-19.

I'm really sorry about the rejections. My post may say otherwise but that's because of an earlier argument we've made on this thread. Those who have been rejected should order their GCMS notes and repackage their applications. Many people get their permits after their second or third attempts. There is hope to redo things and address concerns. As always, may the odds be in our favour.

I think the Diploma got an issue. Would have been a PGD.
OK. uncle or mum transferring is good.
Would I need to present her documents as in certificate of registration, tax payer card, certificate of non bankruptcy... like I did earlier ?

she is working. Submitted employment verification letter, past 5 month pay slip, leave letter for studies,

What people who reapply, do they often get a study permit ?
What are the chances ?

I’m thinking of seeking an immigration consultation.

The bolded is the reason for the purpose of visit.. Yiu are meant to apply for a Post Graduate diploma/certificate in a course related to bsc in a college, dont focus solely on universities and not a diploma

For the bolded, yes..

Yes, people have reapplied and got it in their 2-4th trial.

I will advise against the immigration consultation unless you have the money, reason is this, the purpose of visit is logical, why would a HND graduate be going for a diploma and not a PGD. Though I tot you said she had a 3rd class. Again I will advice you tell the girl to come on nairaland to seek better understanding.

Thanks so much. I’m noting. Ok tell me where to focus so I tackle from there.
All from indication, a PGD is the only option. She got a 3rd class BA she can’t go for masters.
I tried seeking master’s admission no way.
That’s why I landed on a diploma in Journalism which I think is related to Linguistics

I answered why the 3rd in my previous write up.
Yeah. Any institution which offer PDG in linguistics or journalism??

Hi ConradAce1,

So sorry about your sister's refusal,

Tell her to google & do research on the following PG. Cert programs

Broadcast Journalism – Television News
Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology, London, ON

Journalism (Post Diploma)
College of the North Atlantic (CNA), Stephenville, NewFoundLand & Labrador

Journalism – New Media
Sheridan College, Oakville, ON

Journalism (Postgraduate)
Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, Toronto, ON

Journalism – Arts and Entertainment
Centennial College, Toronto, ON

Sports Journalism
Centennial College, Toronto, ON

Contemporary Journalism
Centennial College, Toronto, ON

All the best in her next application

Note: she should try do some serious research & find how Linguistic relates with Journalism so she can able to connect it into details in her SOP

e.g

A journalist is expected to have good linguistic skills as a minimum in his job. A good command of his native language and hopefully one other major language is often a prerequisite to employment.

An incoherent or vague submission for publication is completely unacceptable.
Editors and publishers generally have language experts on staff to proof and correct any submissions but they can only work from material they can understand in all its nuances.

A journalist with poor linguistic skills is an insult to his or her profession

It's good that u've ordered ur notes so you'll know where to start, but I think they weren't impressed with the first degree result.. This canada people sef know that most students will not return so they'll likely consider study permit for those who's profile kinda fit EE but can't get very high scores.. May God help us all.. Good luck in ur reapplication
