Ayusman, if Banix's statement is all true, you may be banished, discarded and disposed of, from nairaland. To the best of my knowledge, false allegations like this are serious, No evidence or statement of fact to substantiate this allegation. Banix, keep your head up and keep doing your thing. Never let jealousy and spitefulness from others bring you down. May Allah Bless you.
AutosRe: Attention Banix Auto by Consensus: 10:45pm On Oct 03, 2010
Ayusman, were you present at the point of sale? Did you bear witness to the conversation and disclosures at the point of sale?
AutosRe: Attention Banix Auto by Consensus: 10:34pm On Oct 03, 2010
Onwan your points are very plausible indeed and I concur with them. I'll wholeheartedly love Banix to come on and speak further regarding the transaction and the proceedings at the point of sale.
AutosRe: Attention Banix Auto by Consensus: 10:05am On Oct 03, 2010
Ayusman, Were you present at the point of sale?, or did you witness the verbal conversations that ensued between both parties at the point of sale?. I'll expect Banix to have given the buyer forehand info about the car's history or issue's its had in the past based on what the actual owner of the car told him. The maintainance culture and awareness of the user goes a long way in determining the condition of a Nigerian used car. The other side of the coin is that the owner of the car may or may not have forewarned Banix of the potential problems the car had, this would have prepared the owner in advance. Why hasn't Banix come on here to defend this allegation?. Not impressive at all. All dealers should have an element responsibilty towards their customer.
AutosRe: Attention Banix Auto by Consensus: 10:58pm On Oct 02, 2010
Ayusman, Apologies duly accepted. Siena's point is that your part was played when you referred Banix to your friend. Your friend being an obviously grown up person, made his decision to deal with Banix. The onus lied on your friend to, he was under no obligation to deal with Banix. He was'nt forced or coerced into dealing with Banix, therefore he should be the one taking this issue up with Banix, Good Luck
AutosRe: Attention Banix Auto by Consensus: 8:43pm On Oct 02, 2010
Ayusman, Read your response, and I really don't respect the fact that you don't accept or respect the fact that every one has the right to their views and opinions. This is a forum, where everyone has the right to anonymity and their opinions. Why would I be privy to a deal of someone I don't know? I only gave my honest opinion. Or did Banix take advantage of your friends innocence? I also wonder why Banix has'nt come forth to defend himself and this allegation, then you both can come to an amicable and mutually beneficial resolution.
AutosRe: Attention Banix Auto by Consensus: 1:46pm On Oct 02, 2010
Poster, the objective of your post sounds very biased and unreasonable. Your friend buy's a used car, not just a used car, a Nigerian used car?. Used cars are sold on "as is" "sold as seen" "buyer beware" basis. Threads like this are uneccesarily and uncalled for. A dealer has a duty of care towards his clients, but how was Banix to have known of these issues?, The car probably wasn't used by him personally, He more like was given to him by a third party to sell. Banix Autos deserves an apology.

AutosRe: What Papers Do I Need To Drive My Car Down To Cotonou Through Seme Border by Consensus: 12:15pm On Jul 08, 2010
Onwan sure has a very vital point. Go to the real authorities and get the real deal/enquire about the real deal and give yourself the total peace of mind, rather than assume someone online may be able to help you, or may give you advice, which may or may not be accurate advice.

Wish you the best of luck in your new role.
AutosRe: What Papers Do I Need To Drive My Car Down To Cotonou Through Seme Border by Consensus: 11:09am On Jul 08, 2010
My advise to you is to post this question on the individual threads of each of the Cotonou dealers. They will be in the best position to advice you since they obviously go there regularly.
AutosRe: UK/US Nairalanders Beware Of These Cotonou Car Agents Here by Consensus: 11:55am On Jul 05, 2010
Poster, I have scrutinized this thread very closely. Your objective sounds as attention seeking, disjointed, distorted and blinkered.

Who cares if you made $48k profit here on Nairaland? You are obviously into business on nairaland and aim to nulify other peoples biz so as to increase your so-called $48k profit.

Also why should only US/UK nairalanders beware? No offence meant to them, but are they superior or any better than Nigerian based nairalanders?.

A year ago, in my pursuit to get a car I desired, I was infact duped by a non-nairaland based family friend who lives in US, before I finnaly got my self and resources back together.

Femmy2010, tadeus, larryshow, mr nice guy, ayodeji and other real Cotonou dealers, keep doing your thing and stay united. Do not let this baseless thread demoralize you.

You are all doing a good job and well done.

Mods, This thread is to be discarded, disposed and thrown into the recycle bin.

Okhai, Received the dock reciept and bill of sale by email. I chose you in my mind from the first time I spoke to you, your great personality and confidence played a big role in sealing this deal, a young man with so much flair, ambition and charisma. I trust you will do a good job in seeing this all the way through.
