FoodRe: 22 Foods Nigerians Miss Most While Living Abroad by constantchanges: 4:09am On Aug 14, 2015
The truth is that most of them can be found in abroad, but it is not the same.

Let us not argue it. I spoke with someone in north America last week, the guy confessed how he missed the original naija flavour in our food.

Of course, Pando yam, Semo, Suya, Asun, kilichii, Ofada rice, Beans of different varieties etc can be found in abroad.

TravelRe: Daylight Corruption In Immigration Office, Ibadan by constantchanges: 7:23am On Aug 06, 2015
Well, that's bad. From 17k to 27k, still it was delayed.

Since when has int Passport become a rocket science?

As for corruption, let PMB fight corruption children and grand children first.

Corruption has spread so so so wide. It will take alot to fight it, even the people shouting change , most of them have not changed from their old corrupt ways.

Bribery is still on in many high and low places, Police still mount illegal roadblocks to collect white, Judges still pass judgement in favour of the client with highest bid, appointments in major offices are still going to one side of the divide, landlords still eject poor tenants while their rent is still running, people that died in immigration during the last deadly recruitment process have not been compensated, unemployed graduates have not seen one kobo from the promise made by APC, $1 is not #1 yet, BH has become worst since May 29, 2015, roads are still bad...

The truth of the matter is that nothing, if the change is not from above.

Na only God that can save this country o.

Well, I dont think seeing VP in restaurant is enough change. There may be other security guys around you there on mufti, eating and drinking, pretending to be another customer.

Personally, i haven't seen any change.

Can somebody call all these drivers that drive govt security hilux and other security hilux to order.

They drive with so much impunity, are they not supposed to be pacesetters? Where are they running to? Even if it is only the driver in the vehicle, they drive like the world belong to them. Mere human.

Everytime, they drive like 140 to 180km per hr, for which road.

Our leaders should caution their drivers, not only trailer drivers this time. All manners of characters are employed into our govt without any proper training.

You can easily do your self the favour go check out the requirement each province has inplace so you will then be in a better position to select what province you are eligible to apply to..

Seriously, just do your our own little research and then ask for clarification regarding your findings.

By the way, if you don't have any relative in Manitoba or any connection at all (except by some divine means you get a job offer) don't bother with their PNP
Even with relations, not much is assured in abroad. Someone without a relation can still travel and God will bring helpers, dont allow fear of uncertainty kill your dream.

I will advice anyone that want to do MPNP to do so, follow your heart, but you do it leagally ...God will see you through. But you leave with enough money, do your researches and book a hotel ahead for like 2 to 3 weeks before the hotel expires, you will get an accommodation .People have gone this route and made it, I have personally taken such risk before twice to an unknown place without any relation, have enough money, you will only suffer for a while., make good friends, before you know it, you too will be someone people will be looking forward to in abroad to invite them.Going abroad is NOT a rocket science please. But dont do anything incriminating.

May their soul rest in peace. This is very sad. I agree driver might be speeding but what's the quality in that car? Remember the first set of Kia Rios imported into Nigeria? They came in without airbags, not until people started dying did we even got a hint of the airbag issue.

Quality of imported cars (both brand new and tokunbo) coming into the country should be reassessed.

Once again, may they RIP and God grant their families the heart to bear the loss. May those who sustained injury receive healing in Jesus name.
Have you ever heard that a car was recalled in Nigeria?

Where is SON, when even citizens see car on internet and buy, people buy cars daily from Canada, US, Cotonou, Togo etc.

It is pathetic, the type of cars we see as cheap cars here and buy are some of which the whites cannot use in their country.

Nobody cares, even if government try to implement such car assessment policy, Nigerians will start complaining and they fault the policy.

Whats up people? Keep it coming .... I really enjoyed reading your contributions, plus those that are in Ikeja claiming to be in diaspora because they left east for Lagos.

Well, I am taking us back, back to the real topic of this thread. Nigerians in diaspora, when are returning?

If you dont want to return, simply say so. If you want to return, feel free to state it too.

Africa generally , not only Nigeria, is way behind as compared to Europe, America, North America etc,I won't say much on this.

But, why is this topic not on FB...This topic makes more sense than many on FB.

Not only Amaechi's wife bank account, most big shots bank account are coded and passworded.

The bank staff are not allowed access to such account, only the bank managers and some loyal supervisors can access such account.

If Nigeria must be free from corruption, all coded and passworded accounts in ALL banks should be probed, you will surprised with the revelations. If the owner of such account dies, the money will automatically go to the bank manager and few others as most time even the family members are not carried along when opening such secret accounts.
FamilyRe: I Told My Hubby To Stop Using My Money.am I Wrong? by constantchanges: 5:44am On Jul 20, 2015
FavorofGod:
My hubby and I have had no financial secrets since marriage. He uses my atm regularly and it's almost as though we operated a joint account. This has worked for us until recently.

Now the issue is this: I'm saving for my masters school fees(distance learning) which invoves thousands of pounds. I had to defer it last year due to financial constraints. So from the beginning of this year, I had already started making plans to pay. Hubby promised to assist but each time he puts away some money, something always comes up to make him use it up.

I wouldn't have minded much if it was just that, but he turns around to deplete my own savings, promising to pay when he has money. I know he has no other means of income and cannot fulfill that promise. As it stands now, I've not been able to save a dime, and my fees is due in 2 months.
So I told him he is on his own as far as this month and next month's salary is concerned, cos I'm saving every bit of it. Some money being owed me at my place of work for months now was finally paid me yesterday. I didn't want to tell him at first, but later did this morning.

He said he was disappointed, that I've started keeping secrets from him. That he only spent my money because he was broke and not out of carelessness. I told him there was a cause.

He spends money as he sees it, and does not believe in saving for the rainy day. He is not frivolous, but will start projects he had earlier shelved due to lack of money as soon as he sees money. For e.g, He has been talking about hosting a big time baby dedication, and the whole family travelling to the village next month for holiday, which are all capital intensive projects, when he knows he cannot fund it with his salary alone.

I think he wants me to allow him use my savings, then hope for a miracle to pay my fees. I know he's not commited to my academic pursuits, though he claims to. He once used up money I had saved for a proffessional exam, promising to pay b4 the closing date, only to tell me to forgett about an exam I had fully prepared for a day to the closing date because he couldn't raise the money. I had to run around to borrow and pay that same day.

So, ladies and gents, am I wrong to have barred him from touchingmy money for thisperiod or not? Should I stop telling him how much I have exactly? Share your thoughts.
Before I contribute, Op, I saw a contradiction in your write up. You wrote that he doesn't have a means of income....meaning he is jobless. You also wrote that he cannot fund the capital projects of baby dedication and travelling with his salary alone.

Well, this finance issue is a serious matter that must be well handled.

One of those car goes for 40 to 50Mnaira.

The topic said 12 expensive cars, so the other ones might be more expensive too.

So I heard that Davod Mark has oven 50 expensive cars in his garage. Is the country made for these few people?

Op, just say you have been to " some " parts of Delta state.

Dont come and sound as you have been to everywhere in Delta. Most of your write up is based on few places, so it is very wrong to generalize with such conclusion.

For your information, Shell in Warri is now a shadow of its old self, if you know Warri from 80s to early 90s when Shell in Ogunu was Shell, you will understand. I am talking about the "active"days of DSC in Ovwian Aladja...

You just visit one campus , snap babes pictures, visit one beach in Abk , snap oyibo, snap one roundabout, then you have captured the whole Delta , for your mind ooo.
