• Live Chat:
A live chat is an online feature, usually attached to a website, which enables customer service personnel chat instantly with customers. There are many live chat softwares with variety of functions that help you increase customer service and support such as:
• Customers can send message if operator is offline
• Customers can be emailed chat history in case the operator added instructions
• Operator can add pre and post-chat messages to help and direct customer relevant webpage
• Some come with analytics to show operator which page the customer is viewing so the operator can initiate a chat. They also show operator how the customer came across your website and possibly the location of the customer etc.

• FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions):
Here, questions which customers ask, on a regular basis, are compiled and answered. These questions and answers are then uploaded on the company website, which customers can be directed to, if they need answers to particular questions. This will relieve customer service personnel of always answering similar questions frequently and attend to other customers with different questions or complaints.

• Pre-defined guide/knowledge base:
Here businesses and companies put things in place, in anticipation of customers need assistance with the use of their products or services. For instance, a guide on “How To Use…” or a video/animation on the procedure on the use of their products or services. All tailored suit the different categories of customers.

• Website:
To attain satisfactory online presence, a business or company needs to have, as we will call it, an office on the net (Internet). This is because social media presence is effectively achieved when each social media platform which the company uses is linked to a central hub (website), where more information about the company can be seen and received. Also a website enables a business or company to implement other customer services features which will be mentioned below.
WebmastersSocial Media Customer Service Delivery by Contemsolutions(op): 12:47pm On Mar 10, 2016
The ways in which businesses and companies attend to their customers are no longer limited to customers visiting offices or customer service centres, as well as making phone calls, in order for their complaints to be resolved.

From experience, it can be frustrating to call a customer service centre in Nigeria, with a pressing issue, only to be put on hold for minutes and sometimes beyond an hour.

With the evolution of the internet, alongside, social media, businesses and companies, alike, have embraced the use of social media to attend to customers’ complaints, as well as follow up on the experiences of their customers. They also use social media as a means to deliver deals and predefined tips to ensure their customers are happy and remain loyal.

Though, to a large extent, social media helps businesses and companies easily interact with their customers but it can go out of control when a company’s customer base grows with limited staff to respond to them.

A survey was done which showed that on average, 40 percent of customers complaining on social media expect a response within an hour, and 32 percent expect a response within 30 minutes.

Hence, what can done to increase social media customer service delivery?

There tools and procedures that can help answer the questions, which we are going to discuss.

• Notifications:
For a business or company with social media presence on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google Plus etc., it is inevitable for such businesses not to interact with their customers. In this case the notification settings should not be neglected. By default, a few of these social media platforms have their notification settings done for users and businesses to easily get alerted when a message is sent by a customer. It is critical for these notifications to be reviewed and directed to the appropriate response personnel or team.

Your site is cool.

Simple and clean.

Just make sure you share your posts via social media and use hash tags with your keywords on social media accounts that accept it, especially google plus.

Chairman,

You are doing well, but you need to be patient. Linda Ikeji's blog is popular because she was patient.

Also, though your blog needs to be attractive but truth be told, what is paramount is the content. Again, Linda Ikeji's blog is not attractive, in fact it's ugly, especially when she places ads that spread out in small boxes, but guess what, people don't send. What they are interested in is the content.

So to achieve your goal you need to ask yourself these questions:

Are the things I write original, and can people get them somewhere else?

Being able to answer the above question can help you know if your content is a duplication of what others have posted so there will be no point visiting your blog.

And if your posts are original, then, are you using the right tactics to promote your posts

As EntclassBlog suggested, you can comment on posts and possibly add your link to the site. Also your comment has to be constructive to the extent that the reader of your comment may ask,'who is this person sef, I want to know more about him', and eventually click on your link.

Another question is, if you come across your own post, will you want to read it?

In this case titling matters, as well as Search Description. They have to be attractive for whoever comes across them

A few other tips are:

Do you use hash tags when you share your posts?

Try to add images that represent your posts. E.g EntclassBlog does it and kudos to him because the things he posts are always what people are searching for, though some times against the laws, lool

Hence, you should ask yourself, are your posts what people are searching for?

This will guide you on what to post

Lastly, always share your post, publicly, on google plus. Most people don't know but google plus is a free opportunity for ads, when used well enough, such that posts you have shared via google plus are seen when people are searching for similar things in google search engine. Hence, hash tags are key

If you want to know more on google plus you can check out this post via the link below

Hope this helps you

Good day guys. I created a blog co-owned by my tight friend and I approximately a month ago. But we are struggling with pageviews. No, we dont have Adsense yet but we have got quality and self-written articles there. Only receiving like 40 views approximately. Each day we have like 150 average pageviews but we feel its not enough for our content. You cant be spending time researching and getting only 40 views,,, its painful and discouraging. I have read up a lot on driving traffic but i still want quality ideas from Nairalanders who know how the Nigerian way goes... We have tried every possible way. Facebook, twitter, emails, BBM and i just even opened a Linkedin acct a few minutes ago just to help traffic. i have spent a lot of data on trying to get traffic and I wouldnt like my efforts to go in vain. My blog is http://www.TheMchub.com

I would prefer getting ideas that'll make me work both hard and smart if you get what i mean. Thank you in advance

Great advice.

Even the most profitable blogger, Linda Ikeji, was not driven by money but the passion to build audience and give them what they want to see and hear

emmalexdboy:
The tone of your post sound like you're urgently in need of cash. Blogging is not something you start earning quick cash once you set it up.

So, I advice you ditch the idea of making money and focus on how you can build an audience around your blog.

When this done, the money will come.

Take your time and get the required tools to help your blogging journey go smoothly. (click on my signature and read some of my posts it will help you)

While for facebook, your audience are limited to those who use facebook. Though a lot of people use it and it gives you the opportunity to advertise posts, images, your page or your website.

With facebook you can add a number of images to one ad, which gives you the opportunity to place different products or views of your product.

Also with your facebook ad you can create instagrams ads

To know about instagram ads you can check out this post on nairaland on how to create instagram ads via this link below

Bing is similar to google and you can even import you google ad into bing.

Bing as you should know is owned by yahoo so your ads will main show for those who yahoo search.

Bing from time to time come up with promos which generate credits for you to place ads
WebmastersRe: How To Use Online Advertising Effectively by Contemsolutions(op): 7:04pm On Dec 15, 2015
Paid Google ads are similar to facebook but I think it has more viewership because a lot of people search for one thing or the other.

Also you have the opportunity to use texts or images to target your preferred audience. You need to target your audience to the latter or else you will be getting people clicking on your add whose are not going to patronise your services and thereby waste such opportunity for genuine customers.

E.g you sell male shoes for workers in Nigeria and then you target only Nigerians without specifying the that they should be males and the age range of the men, as well as keywords such as workers shoes, men working shoes etc, to streamline your audience, with other criteria you require. In this case, women, males that do not fit in the age range will click on your ads and leave without patronising you since it will not suit them.

Just like facebook you can specify how much you want to spend everyday with the day the ad should stop showing so that you do not exceed your budget.
WebmastersRe: How To Use Online Advertising Effectively by Contemsolutions(op): 1:14pm On Dec 15, 2015
Facebook
I decided to focus on Facebook because I know a number of people who have lost money due to accumulated ad charges.

This is because they do not put a limit to their budget and add an end date for the ad to stop. By doing this you do not spend more than what you have budgeted.

I hope this article will be of good use to you. I will like to draw the curtain here but it doesn’t stop our conversations, so please post your comments or questions

The right paid ads
Some people think as long as you have money for ads you can place it anywhere but this is not true. E.g. if you offer services for professional people you shouldn’t place your ads on Twitter, rather your first choice should be Linkedin. Also if you are into clothes, your best bet is Facebook, which gives you the opportunity to display a number of pictures of your products. And if you want people to see your ads when they search through search engines then Google or Bing ad is for you.

Be honest
There are people who exaggerate what people will benefit from their services via paid ads, and when people get to their landing page and see something contrary, they leave and never come back and possibly tell others not to come. So you need to be honest in the things you do and those interested will surely come.
WebmastersRe: How To Use Online Advertising Effectively by Contemsolutions(op): 11:12am On Dec 12, 2015
Target your audience
Be honest
The right paid ads
Facebook

Will explain them in detail

Target your audience
Though it is true that the more people see your ad the more customers you can get but this is not exactly the case with paid ads.

You need to ensure that those your ads reach are those who will mostly likely patronise you. In doing this you need to target the right people to the latter. E.g if you are into clothes for university ladies and your business is in Lagos, your ad has to be targeted thus: Nigeria, Lagos, Female and you select the age range. Therefore those who see your ads are most likely going to patronise you because they are already interested in what you offer.

If you do not do this you will be attracting all kinds of people who see your ad and are curious, by clicking to know more but when they get to the landing page, they leave because they are not interested in what you offer. You would have wasted you money on them and before you know it, your ads credit would have finished without getting any sales.
WebmastersRe: How To Use Online Advertising Effectively by Contemsolutions(op): 12:41pm On Dec 10, 2015
Paid Online Advertising
This is the next stage of having online presence. Now you have established a presence and you can engage people using the free method, you can be rest assured, to an extent, that money spent to attract those who come across your services will not go to waste.

The question now is,”how effective can you use paid ads?”

First thing to consider about paid ads is that since you have the opportunity to reach a wide range of people, in their millions, you need to focus on those who will see what you offer as being relevant.

Hence, you need to do the following:
WebmastersRe: How To Use Online Advertising Effectively by Contemsolutions(op): 12:39pm On Dec 10, 2015
Social Media
Make sure you use as many social media platforms as possible, especially, for business purposes and if you cannot use all, engage people who can. The more you get out the more people see you.
WebmastersRe: How To Use Online Advertising Effectively by Contemsolutions(op): 3:07pm On Dec 09, 2015
Submission of articles
You can write good articles which does not advertise your services and submit them to websites that could publish them for free, like Nairaland, Connect Nigeria, WorldStage, Naibac etc. The advantage of this is that you get free publicity and depending on how good your article is, people will want to know more about you and possibly your services.
WebmastersRe: How To Use Online Advertising Effectively by Contemsolutions(op): 11:59am On Nov 30, 2015
Sharing content
You need to share the content from you blog or site, via social media, so that it pulls people that click on the link back to your site, rather than posting content on individual social media platforms, without any link. This will make you lose a lot of potential customers because they will not have where to go for more information and see other things they can be interested in, if they were directed to your blog or site.
WebmastersHow To Create Instagram Ads In Nigeria by Contemsolutions(op): 1:57pm On Nov 26, 2015
I am glad to finally say that the long awaited Instagrams Ads is now active for Nigerian advertisers.

For some time now a number of people have asked me about Instagram adverts as compared to Facebook Adverts to the extent that I had to attempt placing an ad myself, so I can understand how it works and the requirements.

Unfortunately, the first time I tried it, it was not fully functional, since it was still in the development stage. I kept on checking back until now, when I found out some things which were not available before while creating a campaign for Instagrams Ads were now visible.

After some trial and error, I eventually figured how to create a campaign for Instagram Ads and I am more than happy to share.

First of all, it’s a bit of a long process or maybe it’s because it took me a while to get the hang of it. So for those who are trying this for the first time, seat back and follow these steps accurately:

If you need pictorial representations of these steps you can check them out via this link http://contemporarymediasolutions.com/how-to-create-instagram-ads-in-nigeria/

* Your need to install Power Editor in your Facebook Ad Manager by downloading it from this link here or or click Power Editor at the top of your Ads Manager.

Power Editor is a tool you can use to manage your Facebook ad campaigns in bulk. Learn more about its features that let you create, edit and publish multiple ads at once.
When you’re in Power Editor, click Download to Power Editor at the top to download the accounts you want to access. If you’re having trouble downloading your accounts, you can check out Power Editor Troubleshooting Tips Here.

Note: Power Editor is only supported in the Google Chrome browser.

*If you already have an existing Facebook Ad Account, you can simply download it into the Power Editor interface, displayed at the top or you can create a new ad by clicking on the drop down arrow beside Create Ad and click on Create Campaign. Then fill in the necessary info.

* After creating the Campaign you need to create an ad set as a sub of the campaign, as show in the screenshot above or by clicking on the highlighted section as show in the screenshot.

* When you are done and have fill in the required info, you will also create a Ads as sub under Ad Sets. You just need to follow the normal steps of creating a Facebook Ad.

* When you are done, you will need to Upload Changes by clicking on the Green Upload Changes Button at the top, as shown in the screenshot in Step 2 above. This will upload the Ad to your existing Facebook Ad Account or create a new one for you, if this is your first ad.

* Now before Instagram Ad can be active in your Facebook Ad, you will need to add your Instagram Account using Business Manager. Business Manager allows advertisers to manage all of their advert accounts, Pages, apps and permissions in one place.

* In Business Manager the basic things you need to do are to add your Facebook Page, Ad Accounts, Instagram Accounts and Payment Methods.

* You can create Instagram ads using ad creation. You’ll create Instagram ads the same way you create Facebook ads. All you need to do after creating your ad is make sure that you’ve selected Instagram in the Ad Preview section.

Creating Your Instagram Ad

* Go to ad creation.

* Choose an objective from the list. Keep in mind that only the following objectives will allow you to create ads that will be eligible to appear on Instagram.
> Send people to your website (Clicks to Website)
> Increase conversions on your website (Website Conversions)*
> Get Installs of your app (Mobile App Installs)
> Get video views (Video Views)

* Next to Campaign Name, add a name for your campaign or use the default name that appears.

* In the targeting section, create an audience for your ad. You can choose audience characteristics such as age, gender, interests and more. Learn about the targeting options available and tips onchoosing the right audience for your ad.

* In the budget & scheduling section, you can choose a budget and set your ad’s schedule.

* If you choose, you can set a manual bid by updating the Optimize for and Pricing sections with your preferences, as shown in the screenshot above.

* In the media section, choose the type of creative you’d like your ad to include.

* In the text and links section, choose a Facebook Page to represent your business on Facebook’s News Feed.

* Below Instagram Account, choose an Instagram account. If you haven’t added an Instagram account through Business Manager or through your business’s Page, click Add an Account and follow the steps to set up your Instagram account, as shown on the screenshot above.

* Give your ad a Headline and Text. Click Show Advanced Options to choose a call-to-action button for your ad.

* Remember that you should have selected Instagram in the Ads placement section while in the Ads Creation Page.

* Now your ad is ready to be placed for review by the Facebook team

* Click on the Green Place Order button, as shown in the screenshot below and you are done

If you have successfully done this, congratulations, you Instagram Ad is on its way to be live to prospective clients.

I believe this could relieve you some stress, unlike me, who had to go through the trial and error phase to achieve this.

Attractive blog or website
When getting a blog or website, especially, when it’s purpose is for generating leads, you have to ensure it is attractive by putting yourself in the shoes of people and ask yourself,”if I am a customer will I patronise the services this blog or site offers?”. If you can be honest to yourself then you will ensure you put things together to make it attractive
WebmastersRe: How To Use Online Advertising Effectively by Contemsolutions(op): 1:32pm On Nov 20, 2015
Have a Blog or Website
Though some people may say this is not free but a blog is free, while a website is like opening an office online. If you really want to convert people to be customers, online, you need to prove to them that you have a good and stable presence in the online world and there is no other way than having a home in the online world, where people can visit from time to time to get updated on things you offer.
