Insiders alleged that the governor is deeply troubled with the recent development in his state.

The first trouble he is dealing with is the impeachment move being put together by 19 APC lawmakers.

Secondly, the man has bite the finger that fed him.

He has offended President Goodluck Jonathan greatly and the man has decided to leave him to his fate.

Sources inside the Presidency alleged that Fayose’s trouble with President Jonathan started during his re-election campaign. It was alleged that Jonathan entrusted his N21 billion campaign fund into Fayose’s hand which he allegedly mismanaged.

PDP sources said the President is angry with Fayose over mismanagement of campaign cash and image problem the governor caused him by his relentless attacks on the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, which soared support for the retired General while diminishing the profile of the President.

Security sources said Fayose compounded problem for himself while condemning President Jonathan for not using soldiers for the election.

“Security officers were holding a meeting with the governor and he was told to ensure adequate security to douse tension. Carelessly, the governor said he was not sure whether “that stupid President will agree like he refused to do during the presidential election”.

“Unfortunately, Fayose did not know that he was being recorded. The tape was sent to the President who after listening to it decided to leave Fayose to his fate.

Yesterday, Governor Ayodele Fayose was said to have sensed the danger coming for being rude to his political god-father, the man who brought him back into Ekiti State House from exile.

PROBLEM OF THE IGBOS
No matter how you look at it, The Igbos have not quite recovered from the devastating loss at the Biafran war.
6 million Igbo people died.

Thats 3 times larger than the number of people in most states.
Thats 2 times larger than the number of voters APC used to Win PDP (in this case considering that most PDP voters came from the south)
These are 6 million men and women that could have by now given birth to lets say (6 million times 3 children each) making it above 20 million extra people in the east. This figure would flawlessly win any election.

These are 6 million men and women who could be senators, governors, professors holding positions all over Nigeria.
Wikipedia put the figure at 2 million. But then, that's still a very huge loss.
The rest of the survivors were thrown into abject poverty when Gowon leveled all the bank accounts of all igbos to only N20 after the war and declared that all properties owned by igbos outside Igboland have been officially abandoned.
It was a fatal blow, the problem of the Igbos is not any of the things most people mention.
So when you see that most igbos are traders, its because of that - no other alternative. Most Igbos you see today are the first persons in their family to make any cash.
When you see Igbos traveling all over the world doing all sorts of businesses, its because they are on a do or die state. No road backwards, no inheritance from the earlier generation, they were almost wiped out.
No matter how you look at it, that war was totally wrong. And should have been stopped after 6 months. Full blown out war was not the best solution at that point.
May take upwards of 100 years to recover. So when you see all these other parts of the society threatening war and violence, detonating IDEs and other shitty stuff, its because they have not seen war. They have not witnessed an entire adult population wiped out and the rest automatically rested to far below UN poverty level. Carrying guns around on camera and shooting a few people is called skirmishes and incidences, its nothing close to war.

But i don't see Igbo presidency in 2019, 2023.
In 2023, an Igbo may successfully emerge as Vice.
Then before 2030. We could have a president.
But who really cares where the president comes from if they perform well.

Eziachi is a realist. The way Igbos were vocal in the lies against Buhari got me baffled as I never saw Northerners or anyone engage in such level of disgusting conduct. Just like the case of Buhari, Ambode is winning on Saturday because the strategy of sharp division can never favour Igbos demographically.

I also want to make it clear that Igbos from Imo State are not part of it. We believe in mutual respect. Other Nigerians can verify by enquiring the home State of most TANists.

Eziachi, I will only address again the point that seems not to get into the thick head of the guests, who think they are co-owners of the house their host received them into. Of course, that Ibos fought and lost a war, which was a criminal, ill-thought and un-winable war to start with, does not mean they get rewarded for every stunt they pull-out afterwards. Does an erring child who gets spanked really badly now hold his parents / brothers to ransom and must now get away with everything afterwards, and in essence play by a different set of rules?

This is what Ibos do not or cannot understand. The war was won and the losers cannot use that as leverage to cry harder each time they are WRONG! Quote me.

Now to the MAIN ISSUE: Ibos live in Nigeria, they are Nigerians, Nigeria and every country have citizenship rules that are just too basic that it does not merit even discussing for 5 seconds because everyone agrees to it:

A citizen of a country can live in any part of that country. Everyone who is not a baby or dead or inanimate object knows this fact.

However, that you live in a part of the country or better still migrated to or your fathers migrated to a land within that country, which existed before you were born or your fathers were born and owned by natives of that land in that same country does not and cannot make them relinquish ownership of that land.

It does not make it a NO MAN'S LAND! This is akin to an insult of the highest order, an insult to their ancestors and heritage!

So Ezaichi, Yorubas know and live the constitution far better than Ibos at the very least and go out of their way to accommodate and make you comfortable in their land. In the north, you abused that privilege a long time ago and the northerners killed you in thousands and millions and Ahmadu Bello went on video record to tell you exactly about you.

It appears that is the only language you understand and in life people get what they deserve or what they understand, the same way an errant child will only understand hard discipline by way of spankings / corporal punishment.

Ibos do not have to claim Yorubaland, not the least Lagos, just because they lost the civil war. I repeat that for a 1000th time:

Live in Yorubaland BUT you will NEVER own or co-own a farthing of it, the heritage of the Yorubas.

Whether Nigeria breaks up or not, whether you met Lagos or any land as a big empty space with only 1 human being, you are a Nigerian citizen resident on the land and not an OWNER of the land or Lagos or Yorubaland or any other part of North, SS, MB, SW, etc.

So even if Agbaje wins with Yoruba votes ibos would be blamed for it and assuming any reprisals come with it they would suffer for the decisions of all tribes who voted Agbaje.

If Ambode wins then you would also be shown that you're irrelevant.

I pity you indeed. I pity you only because you contributed so much to build the Buhari brand out of your conviction that he was the right man for the job but unfortunately allowed some unworthy reason to make you abandon the cause when the end was very near. It must be very painful for you at this moment because you cannot lay any claim to contributing to the General's success; at least not in this forum.

If you switched without any benefit from PDP camp, it makes it even a worse case for you because it means you must have done that on some sentiments; either ethnicity or religion. As I said earlier, yours is worse than FFK, Teluku and Ribadu combined because they must have done that for some personal benefits whereas according to you, in your own case you didn't collect any benefit.

I sincerely hope that you will learn some lessons from this calamity that has befallen you on this forum as a result of your irrational decision and also hope that you will be able to take better informed decisions in future if faced with similar circumstances.

If you check profile you will notice that I have not been able to celebrate this electoral success like I should and you are really one of the reason for that because its really painful that despite all the great job you did projecting and defending APC on Nairaland and probably offline too one stupid and devilish situation occurred and you abandoned the struggle ( at the most crucial period). I was pained and still feeling the pain now because I wonder the kind of encomium people here would have been showering on you since Sunday but reverse is the case now due to what only you and your God can truly give explanation to.


I still stand by my believe that you are absolutely free to support any party or personality of your choice afterall there was no contract binding you to support Buhari/APC but I will never cease to curse whoever or whatever prompt you to abandon the ship the time you did.


Personally I still have that likeness for you and wish my fellow APC supporters can just let you be and move ahead afterall the people we are all fighting over will still reconcile among themselves and steal our money together without inviting any of us.
