armyofone: The ability of a man to restrain himself in a violent situation with the opposite sex is what makes him a man. To be a man is not a day job.
That knocked out punch was not cool undecided no matter what.
so what makes a woman then? her ability to hit or spit at someone and cry wolf when she gets her comeuppance?

to be a man isn't a day job? by tomorrow, with your same mouth, you would say there's sex equality. your hypocrisy is alarming!!!!

r231: do you remember the guy called OJ Simpson grin grin
OJ simpson wasn't guilty of that too. it was a set-up. the gloves that committed the murder did not fit OJ's fingers.

nitlad: I thought they were in a hurry to nail a supposed high profile personality. . . This may have given them a jaundiced view of the scenario, hence their muddled up case. At best, the only thing that could have been proven is involuntary manslaughter. OP might even have had to plead guilty.
i still blame the investigating police officer - botha. i am sure he had a personal beef with oscar. he ruined the case in a way.....presenting witness evidence that were staying 600 metres away, he presented syringes as evidence to insinuate oscar might have been on drugs & all other bullshyte.....

r231: which kain yeye forensic undecided undecided
yes he will walk from this case but we all know he is lying and he knew perfectly what he was doing
do you know how difficult it is to walk free from murder? too many things worked in oscar's favour for this to be a one-off fit of rage.

freecocoa: I have a different theory but whatever be the case, he's going to jail is all I know, not necessarily because he killed Reeva but for not applying common sense where extremely necessary cry
there are precedents....
remember the american cop that dozed off while watching TV with his son. the man didn't know when the son stepped outside but he woke up when the son was opening the door to come back into the house.

he thought the son was an intruder. he didn't check anything before getting up to collect his gun. he fired straight at his son & killed him instantly. the cop wasn't even arrested, let alone charged to court for murder.

it's even difficult to prove how a reasonable person would have acted under the same set of circumstances until he has been placed in it. under duress, human beings tend to behave abnormally.

r231: he lied about everything cheesy
if he did, forensics would have caught him. he shot through the door - it then means he didn't see what he was shooting at. that's one of the key elements in his favour.

freecocoa: Answer jare, what do you think happened?
i think his vulnerability & paranoia got the better of him. he had no legs, men like that are bound to be on the edge.....they tend to make up for their disability with aggression.

when he heard the noise, he automatically thought an intruder was in the house. he took his gun & fired straight through the door without thinking straight.

by the time he realised it could be reeva, he had unleashed 4 talon bullets into the bathroom - and reeva died as a result. ordinary bullets would have increased her survival rate.

He has to be a the worse slowpoke to commit premeditated murder in his house, in that manner.
or perhaps he hired somebody else to pull the trigger...... cheesy

freecocoa: I get your point, anyways, the judgment's leaning in the direction you want so...

Tell me honestly, in your heart of hearts, do you think Oscar's saying the whole truth?
obviously, he's not saying the whole truth. he lied about some parts but not saying the whole truth doesn't mean he's guilty!!!

there are some shady spots in his evidence but i don't believe he intentionally murdered his girlfriend. he couldn't have done that under his own roof.

freecocoa: The drama's taking too long jor, it's beginning to look like she's trying to have fun with a very serious case like this.
cut her some slack - she's 66!

would you rather not have her explain her decision on the matter? i cannot disagree with anything she has said.

people have to realise there's a big difference between what actually happened & what can be proven. the prosecutors could not prove oscar was guilty - it would be injustice for her to judge this case based on the opinion of the public.
Celebrities › Re: Oscar Pistorius Trial: Judge Delivering Verdict, LIVE by coogar: 3:27pm On Sep 11, 2014
nitlad: He was never gonna be found guilty, because he's not guilty!!

Mumu prosecution went for premeditated murder. How do you prove this beyond reasonable doubt without solid evidence to buttress it?

Beauty of the Rule Of Law!
you must be very intelligent.....
the prosecutors were morons from the get go. there was no eye witness, no CCTV cameras, the only other witness is dead apart from oscar - how could they possibly prove premeditated murder? they should have just left it at culpable homicide/manslaughter.

freecocoa: I'm beginning to doubt her ability deliver sound judgment.

Chillisauce: You are here arguing with coogar. Coogar that will see black and tell you it's red. If you are not careful, you start going for eye test.
i work with facts - not assumptions!
just because ray's head jerked towards her doesn't mean he was hocking spit at her - that's a very dangerous assumption.

AP have seen a longer video that is much more clearer & they reported it was the woman that spat at him on the elevator. there was no report that he did any sort of spitting.

these are the facts......

edwife: I really don't know what to believe anymore, why are there more videos out there? undecidedIt is confusing undecided undecided
nothing to be confused about - TMZ released a video that was blurred that had no audio which opens up different interpretation, lies and false witnesses.

association press got another video that was clearer, with good audio & they reported it was the woman that did the spitting - contrary to what the false witnesses were interpreting in the TMZ video.

this link should clear your doubts....

freecocoa: Doesn't seem that way from what I saw, are you saying the version I watched was doctored or what? the one I saw is very clear biko.
the version you saw wasn't clear enough to show who was spitting at who. the media have seen a different version that is high-definition with audio & it was the woman doing the spitting.

anyone who says there was a man spitting in the TMZ video is a pathological liar.

freecocoa: Just watched it and it's clearer, the dude's a monster.

She was trying to defend herself and got knocked out.

Coogar and his cohorts make ina come o.
you are watching the wrong video. the TMZ video is blurred, shorter & inconclusive. according to AP(association press), they were handed another version that was longer, clearer(high definition) and she was the one that spat at him before he punched her.

she's the primary aggressor.....

freecocoa: Bia coogar you are wanted in the family section, another man whom you have been defending has been found to spit on and hit his woman, had it been she died, shey would have said she cause it. angry
she spat on him, not the other way round. he had a right to lash out. she later married him & i seriously doubt she was forced into marriage. grin

pickabeau1: Why r u barking
We already knew the case was botched not only by the prosecutor, the policewho moved things around and Oscar himself
please don't tie up yourself in tortuous knots of logic....you knew nothing - you were relying on the evidence of her friends & the messages on whatsapp to prove he was abusive towards her & thus - he's guilty as charged!

how did the contamination of the crime scene help pistorius when it was obvious he shot through the door & the victim never screamed - that was contrary to your nollywood script that they had an argument that night & he chased her into the loo when he shot her?

if i scoop out some of your theories on this case, you would be embarrassed. so let's leave it there.

ChickRockz: Mr you have to understand that this is a High Court case thus you only get the opinion of just one judge. If It were before a Court of Appeal or a Supreme Court,I'm sure there would be dissenting Judgements
madam, the evidence must back the verdict. the state never had a case with premeditated murder or second degree murder from the get go. i have been arguing this since feb last year.

he might go down for culpable homicide cos the court would analyse whether a reasonable person would have acted like pistorius did on that night......that could go either way!
Celebrities › Re: Oscar Pistorius Trial: Judge Delivering Verdict, LIVE by coogar: 11:38am On Sep 11, 2014

•oscar not guilty of second degree murder.

it remains culpable homicide.

MadCow1: I dont remember them lying about the number of shots they heard.. Infact, one of the women said she heard 'Bang! Bang!! Bang!!! Bang!!!!' which is 4 shots.. Reeva took 3 and one was lodged in the wall behind her.

And how come both witnesses remember hearing a womans screams after the shots?!

And remember that even Pistorious himself claimed she wasnt dead immediately after the shots as he carried her downstairs and administered CPR to her.
they lied about the number of shots - go back to the preliminary hearing of the case last year and review the witness reports when officer botha was in court.

as for the witnesses hearing a woman screaming, isn't that the natural thing to say after already knowing the woman died from the incident.

the pathologist said there's no way reeva could have screamed because she died instantly - the report said she suffered respiratory issues that must have disturbed her speech & the ability to scream.
Celebrities › Re: Oscar Pistorius Trial: Judge Delivering Verdict, LIVE by coogar: 10:53am On Sep 11, 2014
josite: oscar will not be convicted for murder,he will be convicted for lesser offences.the judge had already believed the medical doctor;s testimony that when he came on the scene, oscar was sincerely distraught about the event and pleaded with him for intervention and he was so moved to do his best,u can bet wit me,,,
he should be charged for his firearm offences & should never ever be allowed to hold a gun again in his life. if he's scared of his life, he should hire live-in bodyguards.

as for the premeditated murder, i don't think he's guilty of that. yes, he had a disgusting rage but it's normal for people like him to be on the edge. even short men that are able-bodied have short fuses.
