The heart of the feministic tendencies of most who post is either (a) they like the idea of a system that privileges women over men and the fact that men can be "locked" for responsibility and denied rights or (b) they love the idea of unrestrained intimacy or (c) both

Neither of thes things will be in the best long-term interest of women, children or men. And as men become savvier, they'll still benefit the most from a bad situation. One of the worst aspect of feminsim is that it makes irresposibility a good value proposition for men.

TV01: And I for one have no problem with anyone marrying out. But as you've rightly pointed out, there is a hierarchy of desirability. And black women are on the bottom rung. Black men on the other hand are near the top and are able to further compensate for any percieved drawbacks.

And it's not just about physical desirability. Otherwise men of other races would be happy to date them for intimacy, but not marry them. They don't do that any more than they marry them.

Also, your point on incarceration being the only solution to young black offenders plays a huge part. Zimmerman is too far away, if Stephen Lawrence was white and those disgusting yobs responsible for his death were black, would they still be walking the streets as free men, especially given the bright and promising young man Stephen was? Imagine the Daily mail's headlines!. I do empathise with young black men in this regard, I used to live near Brixton in the mid 90s with my cousins two of them young boys, now men of course. One of them was stopped once for a stop and search in my presence because we were almost late for school and were running to catch our train on time. After the search, he was shaking for the next 30mins or so, even I was super scared. He'd done nothing wrong other run mid-morning when he was meant to be calmly walking according to the policemen, of course the only reason he was stopped was because he was a young black boy in a 'deprived' neighbourhood. If they'd found a knife on him, he sure as hell would have gone to prison, and if he was white he's probably get a caution. Think all those Essex yobs who get slapped with Asbos and cautions, many repeat offenders.

tatiana009: The same welfare laws apply to white people so then it would be more of a class problem then a race issue if that is the reason. Also that shows that the black woman's decision is then based more on economic advantages than so feminist ideologies.

tatiana009: To be fair to AA women most of them didn't kick out their husbands because of feminist ideas. In fact you'll find very few AA women who are feminist, most AA women prefer the traditional relationships where the man is the provider and the woman takes care of the children and home. Most AA families have the fathers missing because the men are usually involved in shady things and end up in jail. Black men are by far the most in prison, so the black fathers go to jail and then the mother has to pick up the pieces and try her best. aA women started becoming more independent when they had to start fending for their families due to the absence if the men. There are very few AA women who will ever say they are feminist, the situation of black American families is usually as a result if the black men not getting a chance at good education and consequently good jobs and then most fall back on crime and mess up their families.

naijababe: I don't think I i ever said that. All I am saying is that it is crude to say the reason why that 500 end up in prison has more to do with an absent father than poverty, deprivation and lack of education, a common factor in many black families.

I still can't fathom why feminism is supposed to be the root cause of the destruction of black communities while the true purveyors aren't as affected? How come middle income class families can cope better with a single parent than a low income one, a group a vast majority of black families anywhere you go still belong. I seriously want to be educated.

Did you see the recent crime stats for Chicago over the July 4th celebration. I think they said that close to 80 people were killed during the july 4th weekend alone.

If I had the Stats from Lagos to compare with that of Chicago that I could boldly make a statement that crime in lagos is indeed far worse than that of Chicago but we don't.

P.S. I completely agree with Lagos being hell on earth. I dread visiting that State. I can't believe sane people live there lol

Meddler: Really? Where's the data backing your statement? Unless if you follow all the reported crime trends in Lagos. Keep in mind that a majority of crimes in America goes unreported and what's being reported are the only crimes that were captured. I get that Lagos is dangerous and what not but I'm sure if we had accurate data in Lagos or Nigeria for that matter and compared it to big cities like New York or even Detroit we would be shocked at the disparity.

When you encountered a bad medical practise in hospital, did you forward your observation, complaints and annoyance to Nigeria Medical association for further investigation and disciplinary measures to be taken against the hospital?
If your bad experiences were to happen where you current reside, how would you have tackled it? Start by doing what you would have done where you presently live.

Anytime you visit Nigeria, do you obey traffic rules or follow the bandwagon to break it? Do you join queues or you rather call someone to speed the process for you?
The little you can do is by doing what is right at all times even if you are standing alone.
