POPE II: they are confused and emotional. There are no happy endings when divorce is involved, I ain't paying any Damn penny to anyone. And I keep the children
that's why you have to be smart as a man...

hide your money in all the obscure countries in the world without her knowledge. buy houses in different names. create a safety net for yourself especially if you know you are a woman-magnet!

logica: ...which as you can see has resulted in a crumbling society; and one that will soon fall flat due to the excessive pressures of contradictions. The US is an experiment gone wrong, just as Nigeria is.
if they could change it back to what we have in nigeria, they would! however, they are long gone now & there's no redemption until more kids raised without their fathers take guns to school & maim their school mates like rabbits.......

america(morally) is finished!

You want the nation to remain barbaric.
amen to that as long as we don't kowtow their shocking stats that say 43% of children growing up in america today are being raised without their fathers.

Baby mama: Found the case @ Coogar
Here

Imagine the wickedness
After 40 years of marriage and raising 5 children the man keeps 600K pounds and she gets a mere 7k by the stupid Nigerian system
I doff my hat for this woman for refusing to take the insult
what an interesting story - FT said she was awarded £21,000 & the interest on one house totalling about £80,000 in nigeria but she got thrice as much in the UK. the UK is the divorce capital in the world so i ain't surprised about the decision. i am sure they married in the UK.
Family › Re: Divorce And The Suffering Of The Nigerian Women! by coogar:
Baby mama: There was a story a few years ago about this couple, after years of marriage in UK they got divorced in Nigeria when they returned and the courts in Lagos screwed her over, she went back to the UK there and sued him and hammered like she should

I wish I could find that story
the man is not smart -

he should have consulted scott young(multibillionaire). his wife wanted a divorce. he told her if she kept it under wraps, he would give her £300m. she refused cos she wanted more & she went to court.

before the court could hear the case, scott young transferred all his assets outside the UK using some russian connections. he went to court & claimed he was broke! he said he made bad judgement in his investments & he's lost all his money.

the wife insisted he had more than he was claiming. the case dragged for years. the man even spent 3 months in prison for court contempt cos everyone knew he was lying but it couldn't be proven. the wife said scott promised her £300m initially, scott said he was drunk when he said so cos he didn't even have that amount.

sometime last month, the judge had to bring the case to closure & scott was asked to pay just £20m to his wife within 30 days. the wife has spent close to £10m on this case already. wife lost, scott young won & he saved £280m he would have given an ungrateful wife.

Baby mama: Well America and Great Britain and all civilized countries disagree
ok....
no wonder the men are killing themselves & the children these days. rather than stay alive & pay child support & alimony to a wife, they just kill all the parties involved. chikena!

Baby mama: You know what the bible says about the fool and his money
hahahaha -
abiola was too rich to even be bothered. if he didn't die, there wouldn't have been a case of DNA. he was supporting the women & all his love-kids.

Baby mama: If the man is abusive nko and she files for divorce, she should waka go?
No abeg
she should leave without a penny. if the wife is being abused, call the cops & let him go to prison. a criminal offence is a criminal offence - why take 50% of his asset?

Baby mama: Was he targeting women with no partners for mistress? You can't expect fidelity from an ashawo na
he didn't target women - they targeted him cos he gives up to N1m the moment the news is broken to him that they are expecting his child.

Baby mama: That one doesn't count abeg
How does he expect mistresses to be faithful?
If I were them I would pin the belle on him too. Who no like money?
he gave each one of them about $10,000 in the 90s every time they told him they were pregnant & he sends money for upkeep regularly. how's that not fraud? what is not good is not good........

Baby mama: Why won't she get half if I may ask?
I married my oga for instance when we were both hoping on molue
You mean to tell me that if tomorrow he decides to trade me for new chassis grin,I just just carry my load and go?
No way
if he initiates the divorce then you are entitled to compensation - but these days, women cheat deliberately, initiate the divorce & still ask for half of his assets.

POPE II: Arrant nonsense, utter rubbish.

You are on a long thing. This is exactly why a woman will never b the president of this country. Too emotional.
being emotional is good if positive - it's their double standard that irks me. the same women who want half of their husbands assets in a divorce are the same ones who demand gender equality.....

if you're your husband's equal, why steal from him?

Their medical tests required maternity and paternity tests for the kids
Maternity checked out ok
Paternity didn't
babymama, you are funny o!
how won't maternity check out? unless they are into child trafficking, maternity must check out. it's the paternity that has comma.
after you have derailed the topic. what does paternity fraud have to do with the topic at hand? just giving you a list of "experts" that you can you to back yourself up next time.
i replied the OP when she said nigerian men cheat all the time & they make their wives miserable. then i brought up the fact that the paternity fraud in nigeria is embarrassing to counter her point that both sexes cheat with equal weight.

if you want to talk about paternity fraud, talk about all the random children that appear out of nowhere once the husband dies. claiming part of the will. fact of the matter is, a man is way more likely to have kids outside of his family without his wife's knowledge than vice versa. you can quote all the "experts" you want but fact remain that men act with indiscretion in naija FAR more than a woman could ever think of.
look at the stüpid example you brought up.
how's it fraudulent that a man had a love child outside his marriage? will he claim the baby belonged to his wife at home?

we are talking of women getting impregnated by boyfriends & claiming the child is their husbands' - can you not see the difference in the two or i have to spell it out?

they didn't question their paternity - travelling abroad with children sometimes require the parents to DNA-test their kids. another example is the DANA airline plane crash where families of the victims were told to go do DNA test to claim the bodies of the victims.

your propensity to stretch the borders of daftness is peerless.

What we have found out is that, anytime we take ten men, at least three of them eventually found that they are not the fathers of the children they call their own. And these men would have taken care of the children for all their lives. Now, the global statistics is 100, 000 out of every 300, 000 men. But what we have found that is that the situation is higher in Nigeria than other places. For example in our laboratory here, 50 per cent of the cases comes out negative. And we also realised that majority of the first-borns are affected. You only need to be here to see big men cry like little kids and watch children weep in agony. It has been that bad.
If you read the original article below. This is a sample of men who took the paternity test. If you are visiting a DNA expert, clearly, you must already have some suspicions and 3/10 chance is actually pretty low in that case.
Dunno where you got your "50% of all nigerians" from. Making things up out of thin air to support your misogynist view is crass and tasteless.
http://thenationonlineng.net/new/three-of-10-men-are-not-fathers-of-their-kids-says-dna-expert/

Should I say that 90% of all Nigerians are muslim because I went to a mosque to conduct my study?
do you people even read at all? the stats say 3 in 10 are not the fathers of their children but when they narrowed it down to firstborns, 50% of the tests were negative.

Chomzy19: So this is where you got your conclusion fromhuh Seriously?? From one DNA expert who sits in his lab in one hospital in one city in one state in Nigeria to say that out of 10-15 families that come weekly for tests that 3 out of every 10 Nigerian Men are not the father of their kids seriously?? I believe u are more intelligent than that
how many DNA labs are in nigeria? this man gets 60-80 families per month. he's been operating in the last 5 years. it means he's tested 5,000 families in the last 5 years. that's a decent sample size as far as statistics is concerned.
this statement is just crazy. Can you name this so-called DNA expert?
Nigeria is a poor developing country where legal marriage (by civic court) is actually a middle and upper class class luxury. Do you think majority of Nigerians go to court to get married?
same goes with divorce. we like to say divorce is a "western" idea without recognizing the fact that "naija style divorce" is just as popular. where women and/or kids are just thrown out of the home without recourse legal or otherwise. This is assuming the husband doesn't kick the wife out while keeping the kids away from her. In naija, men do whatever they want and women suffer immensely when the marriage doesn't work.
http://www.bellanaija.com/2012/10/02/dna-expert-gives-shocking-statistics-3-out-of-10-nigerian-men-are-not-biological-fathers-of-their-children/

dinachi: This is a clarion call to men out there! Do not be deceived by the tricks of the Feminist OP. That is how men let down their guard in the western countries and today they are regarded less than dogs

A lot of women in the US who are otherwise dumb and docile get to go with millions of dollars just because they were smart enough to ensnare one idiotic rich man to marry them. An after a few years they now divorce the man and start living large. My take is simple. The man should not give a dime to the wife after divorce. If the wife is incapable of taking care of the kids then she should hand them over to the man. The American divorce laws so favor women that it makes more economic sense to divorce their husbands than stay together with him. DIVORCE MUST NOT BE MADE ATTRACTIVE!
even the men in western countries are smarting up now. the mumu husbands are reducing at an alarming rate cos many of them are not even marrying & the ones marrying are taking few steps ahead of their greedy wives.

paris10: I see a lot of opinions spiralling about without the need for an in depth findings on the suffering of Nigerian women in the hands of their supposedly husbands.
suffering of the nigerian women? arrant nonsense!!! is your mom suffering? cos mine isn't.

Do not misconstrue my write-up and base it on an opinionated ideology. What percentage of women do you know who are being treated harshly by their husbands? Or which research have you conducted on domestic violence?
what percentage of men do you know who are being cheated on by their wives. paternity fraud in nigeria is rife. many men are raising bastärds & you have the hutzpah to be writing nonsense. swedish authorities should deport you back to nigeria.

Nigerian men are egocentric and self-centred...controlling their women like a robot and brainwashing them to accept abuse as a norm. Now that this issue of compensation has been raised, men are going defensive and voicing out their frustration on this idea. Maybe if you treat your women right you wont have the fear of divorce with benefit!
if such draconian laws were to be enforced, men will simply not marry. sex is cheap in nigeria & there are millions of baby factories in nigeria so it's your loss. men are not even that crazy about the whole marriage business - it's you women that elbow each other at wedding reception when the bride throws her bouquet.
