StarBoard: it says a lot about elampiro if he chooses twitter over opta as a source for his info.valencia was rubbish today but he played better than jones. jones mistake gave spurs the opener & we were under the cosh after then. debosky: Without assessing whether such a line up would be effective against the subsequent opposition? Without assessing the tiredness or otherwise of the players - some of whom may be playing their third game in a week?if you are just starting to understand the reason why we oppose his reasoning then you need a brain scan yourself. elampiro has made errors close to blasphemy on this section - were you not here when he mistook rooney's 82% open play chance created for 82 key passes? |
StarBoard: look at this lilliputian.that's the problem with today's kids..... the only thing they remember was the jones' cross that led to rooney's first goal. every other nonsense football jones played were easily swept under the carpet. even opta rated jones only 0.1 more than cleverley & his cross that walker assisted must have weighed heavy for his points but jones was a disgrace defensively today. if this is what he can contribute playing as a destroyer, then fellaini is better. |
StarBoard: and we hadn't won 5-nil away in the CL era prior to Wednesday?what else do you expect the charlatan to say? he would use his hindsight analysis & say giggs should have played. |
StarBoard: ha.yes, elampiro will cough out any excuse his mouth can spew. the last awful game rooney had, we saw elamps saying rooney should be rested cos he's being overplayed. ![]() |
leggo: y would you even imagine babies biting an adult's lip? MJ much? David moyes who claimed that kagawa plays on wing for japan is who you're publicly beating your chest for?? adnan roams about in all of his matches popping up in various locations even in the rb position, chk his heat map if yu dont agree.leave elampiro alone - he reasons anticlockwise. kagawa is suited to one role only. you either play him there or leave him on the bench. that other players are suited to play everywhere else should not rubbish those that are specialists in their role. if xavi was at united, elampiro would say he's shyte cos he doesn't play everywhere like janujaz. elampiro puts the c in cluelessness. scholes never played on the wing, why should kagawa be playing there? |
you guys should quit this argument - the match is done & dusted. we have another match in 3 days.......let's discuss everton instead of wasting time on spurs. StarBoard: you make us laugh.elampiro's ability to speak with both sides of the mouth is exemplary. you don't know him - he goes with whatever suits his argument. even when rooney admits he's played badly, elampiro would say he didn't & find an excuse that rooney is tired, he's pregnant.......he will then say he saw hargreaves clipping messi's left foot. ![]() |
OMO IBO: Mourinho has either lost it or he's been found out.stability issues, bro. arsenal are the most stable team in the premier league - their manager has been with them for 17 years now, little wonder they are beasting. man city, man utd, chelsea might need some time to bed in their managers before they get to the topmost level of their ability. it's a teething problem that should get better very soon. |
leggo: don't prove to be the mumu evri1 calls you. will a player just change his position without directives from the manager? rather than let him grow into the game, gollum brought Welbz the Hulk into the hole.lolhttps://images.apparently-not.com/gif/five0-ouch.gif |
montelik: Personally I am not making any big conclusions from that game. Leverkusen were dire. They were so poor, the fans should have pelted them with them rotten eggs. I am not getting any excitement or great insight from that game.i dunno how anyone can draw any meaningful conclusion cos we beat leverkusen. i wasted almost 30 different posts telling dayokanu leverkusen were animal shyte as far back as september. our under 21 team will beat leverkusen. bebe would have gotten a hatrick against them. elampiro: When has Rafael ever played a full season without injury? Why where we using Val in the RB? Go and check Rafael match sta since he arrived.abeg, moyes is over-training our ready-made fit players & they are breaking down. rooney has always had fitness issues - this is why he's he sole beneficiary of the bootcamp. rooney is the only premier league player ever sent to sort out his weight issues during a football season....it should be on guinness book of record! |
bxg: Also Crippling Rafaelwe were warned but we didn't pay attention. the day after moyes' appointment, everton players contacted united players to get ready for some al-qaeda training regime. fellaini before joining us also said so in july that moyes training regime is like boot-camp in mogadishu. see what he's done to rafael. when was the last time carrick was out for 6 weeks? when was the last time RVP missed 2 consecutive league games? rooney seems to be the only one that has benefitted from this guerilla training & that's because he's the only overweight player in the squad before moyes arrived. |
leggo: i have always proposed that rooney moves to the left since he can shoot from outside the boxyou want elampiro to crack a bottle on your head, abi? you don't say such things on this thread, you can only PM it with 100% secrecy. ![]() |
leggo: so Fergie brought in a 29 year old player who was injury prone to replace rooney who only had a brief fitness issue?? now things like this makes me question Fergie's sanity.RVP had gotten rid of his niggling injuries after rubbing horse placenta on his foot. he was super fit for 18 months @ the emirates. he had 38/38 league appearance @ the emirates in his last season there and another 38/38 league appearance for us only last season. everything went pear-shaped when gollum became the manager with his military training that has now crippled carrick & RVP. our players now get injured in training, not during a match. how dopë is that? rooney is not surplus to requirement, his set piece delivery is rivalled only by leighton baines, he was thrown into the CM position to plug a hole there last season yet he garnered respectable stats. with RVPs injury crisis in rooney's absence who would have started upfront? Chica? or Welbz?? nah! even you with your hate cannot play those 2 ahead of wayne.there's a way i can set my team up & exclude wayne rooney and still win 3 points. the key is to play the type of players comfortable with 1-2 passes, intricate passers of the ball & then put a through pass for chicharito. job done!!! rooney might not have the vision of other 10s but he uses pure brute force to forge a way. i prefer Shinji in the hole but this rooney bashing isnt right.let me get this straight - you prefer shinji in the hole & i am sure you prefer RVP as the centre forward. so where would rooney play? ![]() and you say rooney isn't surplus to requirement? ![]() |
BinghiNya: with 2 goals by rooney, people are still complaining, maybe rooney should be playing in the defence to make people satisfied, the team is damn inconsistent so rooney shouldnt be blamed the team to be kickedrooney is the best striker on the pitch - if he cannot score 2 goals(including a penalty) then he's not qualified to wear the red shirt. montelik: Jones had a poor game, even poorer than Cleverley. But then the excuse will be that he is not a natural midfielder. But then why are we playing a guy, who is not a natural central midfielder and has no future at the position, when other naturals are there sitting on the bench. Jones in midfield by nature sets us up in negative manner. We need to play constructive football and make a constructive approach to fixing our midfield issues and playing Jones there is the exact opposite of that. We are chasing to retain our title and are well behind. We need to be positive first, second and third, because that is the only way you chase down the leaders.spot on, bro! that was what got us to this position in the first place. trying to fix issues temporarily till it becomes the default. why play jones as a midfielder? his calling is in the defence. had carrick & valencia excelled in the defence when they featured there, i am sure fergie would have also converted them - even they fail, he would then use the excuse that they are makeshift. why should a club as rich as united have giggs & jones starting in our midfield? Give Fellaini, Cleverley, Anderson a clear run of games either establish themselves or not. Gimmicks will get us nowhere, even if we grab a few special results here and there, because the long-term problems will only worsen.cleverley & anderson should be the default starters in the absence of carrick. the jones/giggs combo is irresponsible. they said giggs turned 40 - a commentator said congrats but would barcelona, madrid, bayern play a 40 year-old man in their midfield? hell no, they wouldn't. they would go out there & buy a proper midfielder & build a statue for giggs after giving him his sack letter. |
Ema prince:why you dey laugh, ema prince? you don't think i am capable of smashing the skulls of mikuz & DBR @ the same time? |
leggo: Fergie knew rooney was a slow learner yet didnt think to cash him in, why? Coogarhe was going to cash him in. rooney then went back home to read the contracts & realised he would lose all his bonus if he demands a transfer..... why do you think fergie brought in kagawa? rooney was well on his way....fergie didn't forgive him for trying to force a move in 2010. once beaten twice shy. when he asked for a request last season, fergie must have laughed in his face. there's now RVP & kagawa.....rooney is now surplus to requirement. |
montelik: Then play actual central midfielders there, rather than Jones and then excusing his failures by claiming he is out of position. Give the team proper balance and shape rather than using silly gimmicks as an excuse for mediocrity. Fellaini and Anderson need to play there for better or worse.that's the tactics..... if jones plays well, he's world class. when he stinks up the place then the excuses come that he's a makeshift. if jones had a good game like many are claiming, how come rooney still had to drop deep to stop tottenham's attack? it's time to bring anderson back to the team. we desperately need him now. jones & co have lost the initiative or perhaps they came against a better team and they looked lost. fellaini could have done better today sef - just ask evans to hoof it & the job is done. elampiro: RVP was away to Liverpool, how did he help get goals from his box position?yes he did but only to be surrounded by misfits like giggs & welbeck behind him on the day. united destroyed liverpool on the day & they scored via cornerkick early in the first half. they closed shop afterwards. RVP in a team weakens the scoring sense oof other strikers because he acts like an hyena- an opportunist. Then all of a sudden he gets all the credit when people work for him. Look at Arsenal, since RVP left, everyone has leant how to score find the back of the net.RVP in the team gives us 3 points - he's proven that already in our shirt. i would trust RVP better than rooney in the box & so would 90% of the united fans out there. RVP is billions of miles better than rooney.....even fergie said so! |
elampiro: RVP was not there when we won 5-0. He was not there when we won UCL,etc. He cannot be one to be used as a benchmark for our attacking play. Had Rooney not dropped back today, we would have been roasted, and with no pressing game from us.of course, beating leverkusen 5-0 will take us to the top of the table. as for UCL, rooney's contribution to winning that was zero. he was anonymous on the night. RVP does not drop deep & we beat teams with ease when he plays. upon all the dropping deep rooney does, we conceded 2 goals & de gea plus some shyte finishing from spurs made the scoreline respectable. Suarez is not a box player. Messi is not a box player but he scores load of goals.don't compare those 2 to rooney - they are infinitely better. RVP isn't a box player too & he's won the last 2 golden boots in the premier league. rooney should learn fast & stop the street football mentality where there are no designated roles. oooops, i forgot - fergie already said rooney is a slow learner. montelik: Rooney natural ball desiring style meant that numerous times we didn't have forward options and that didn't allow us to play effectively on the break. When Welbeck went upfront we got better. But then it appears he wasn't fully fit.thanks for this smart observation some rooney fan boys are too ashamed to discuss. |
elampiro: Your hatred for some players is an incurable disease.get out of here.....
Anyways. A good point in isolation. Everton on Wednesday. Very tough. Hope Rvp is back soon.
squeaky bum time. if we don't beat everton on wednesday then we can forget the top 4. |
leggo: rooney is set in his ways, he has always been known to drop deep so any coach who uses him should keep that in mind and play to his style. no one plays traditional No 9s anymore, see negredo for example, he and rooney have a similar style, they both operate the 9-10 axis .you are missing the point.... when RVP plays, he stays in the box more than rooney does & he tends to drop deep less like rooney does. i am not asking rooney to become an inzaghi or paolo rossi - he's 28, by now he should know which ball to chase back & which he should let his midfielders deal with. RVP does that perfectly - he bides his time & manages his energy very well. nothing makes me mad more than doing a counterattack with a winger & there's no striker busting a gut to receive the ball. rooney still lacks that discipline a bit - he wants to do everyone else's job. |
leggo: so he should have rejected the opportunity because it was from a mistake?? plus he gave that pass to welbeck knowing he would chase it down and win a foul. don't let your hate blind you. Rooney was the best player on that pitch. rooney is no messi, so don't expect him to create goals for himselfof course, rooney was the best out there today. minus RVP, rooney should be the best by default. he's being paid the best wages so it's not even debatable that he's the best. ironically, he could also be the reason we are not beating premier league teams like we should. as a lead striker, he needs to be in the box. he should let everyone else do their job. i cannot count the number of times we broke today & there was no one in the box to make himself available for a pass or a cross. that is not how football is played. |
nitrogen:we are not just good enough if RVP isn't playing. we win the ball & we send it straight to valencia who then craps up the play by hitting against the defender. that was the summary of our play today. |
leggo: despite what anyone says about rooney, deep down we all know he is our best player..its sad that rooney had to drop deep to do cleverley's job which is to initiate plays.walker's mistake & a penalty kick = rooney's our best player. if he had stayed in the box more to do the job of a striker, one of valencia's blind crosses would have found him. RVP would have offered more attacking wise cos he economises his energy. he knows when to give up a chase & when to make his presence known in the box. |
elampiro: Make una see ooooohhhh!!!shut up your mouth & reason with common sense. rooney had 90 mins on the pitch to beat spurs - how many mins did chicharito get with a visionless midfield that created 0 chance in the last 20 mins of the game. RuuDie: True that... those are the 7-points that seperate us from the top now... UTD vs Arsenal, 1-on-1, I think we can beat 'em no matter how "badly" we play.and we have to beat the teams ahead of us on the table to compensate for those 7 points we gifted away. |
DBR: Lmao!!!i would battle you & mikuz after the tournament. 2 vs 1. i think you & mikuz are starting to take me for granted here & someone has put you guys in a grave. |
montelik: Some people just love scapegoating. So Cleverley told Jones to let the ball bounce or Evans to give away a freekick at the edge of the box. He made the wall jump or he should have made himself a human barrier to block one of the best distance strikes we will see this season. Maybe he should have fouled Sandro like Jones did all afternoon (he could easily get sent off he keeps clattering people non stop).jones was at fault for the first goal - only a tissue-paper brained humanoid can blame cleverley for the first goal. jones should have dealt with the ball instead of letting it bounce. We should have left Welbeck up front in 2nd half, as is was when we manged to get foothold in the game. And if we was unfit or tiring, we should have brought off Kagawa and brought on a Nani to stretch the play and play out faster on the break.we looked lost in the league without RVP. for all rooney's strength & verve, he doesn't stay in the box to create a target for his midfielders. valencia was god awful - he shouldn't be playing for us. zaha at this stage would be doing better. |
nitrogen: And we are yet to play Everton, Newcastle, Hull city and others.those aren't difficult fixtures on paper..... if we can beat leverkusen 5-0 then we should destroy those ones. ![]() our problem is the points we dropped against southampton, west brom & cardiff(7 points). had we taken maximum points in those games, today's result wouldn't have gotten me antsy. |
that's another difficult fixture out of the way though. arsenal are yet to go to anfield, stamford bridge, etihad & white hart lane. 9 points at this stage is huge but i take solace in the fact that it's arsenal on top - not chelsea/city. it's still doable. there's another game on wednesday. let's see if moyes will play for a draw on that one. the man has made me eat my words about him. i supported the wankër initially until i found out he has no spinal cord. |
Cleverley pinged some nice balls to valencia overall he isn't the worst player today
thanks for raising this point - cleverley was among some of the poor players on the pitch today. singling him out is almost criminal. Kagawa didn't play- a- make anything todayhe was shunted left around 10 mins into the game & welbeck partnered rooney upfront. i cannot blame kagawa for moyes' daft tactics. moyes had enough time to change his tactics & win this game but he played for the draw. nani & young getting 7 mins is not good enough. |
nitrogen:i cannot disagree with all you said there - cleverley had an awful game today but so are many other players. only rooney & de gea can raise their heads high - the others were beyond pathetic. RuuDie: Not a bad result... good initial selection but not the really the right subs.it wouldn't have been a bad result had moyes won the games against southampton, west brom & cardiff. that gap is what is holding us back & moyes must beat one of the big teams to compensate for the gap he's left playing mid-table teams. |
Leyqute: *Sigh* I take solace in the fact that January is around the corner.don't get your hopes high.... moyes will put messi, xavi, iniesta on the bench & play kuyt, welbeck & gibson instead. he's a negative manager. we created nothing in the last 20 mins. that 20 mins is the difference between an ambitious manager & a manager with small time mentality. he's happy with that draw - we won't beat any top team away from home this season with moyes lacking the hutzpah to go for 3 points. dec 1st & we are in the 8th position - it shall not be well with moyes & his toad eyes. very idiotic & moronic manager. useless beyond anything i have seen in this league. |
StarBoard: The excuse will be that he is under pressure from all sides.he should have made at least 2 good changes after the equaliser. at least give the subs 20 mins to create & score goals. moyes is a lunatic..... i am starting to think he's satan's offering as part of the deal fergie made with lucifer 25 years ago. |
StarBoard: Chris Smalling is a dumcea complete idiòt & jones kept fouling at the edge of the box. a good team would have punished us more - moyes decided to bring on subs with only 7 minutes to go. honestly, this man should fück off..... |
