StarBoard: coogar,
Fellaini left Toure on the 6 yard line to attempt a headed clearance that Vidic was going for. He eventually missed, giving Toure a free stab at goal.
Had he stayed put, even if the ball fell to Toure he wouldn't have had a simple tap-in like he did.
That is where he is culpable.
how did the ball get to toure? i saw vidic & smalling collaborating to miss the ball before it fell to toure. our defenders should be getting to the ball first, not city players. the fault is with vidic/smalling. stop the danger & you prevent a goal!!!

how can you blame fellaini for the 2nd & 3rd goals? did you watch the game?

so fellaini gets the blame when vidic & smalling got in each other's way & missed the ball completely for toure to tuck in?

Nogen: It wasn't because he was a weakling but because he didn't want to be seen as a wife beater. He tolerated all her thrash. I have seen her chased my uncle with a pestle in their home in Ghana. The poor man ran into the guest toilet for hours. I was there pleading she dropped the pestle and settle amicably with the husband. It was hell watching them every now and then fight. My 3 months visit was horrible. I vowed never together married if that was what marriage was all about. However, I remembered my parents and the peace they have in their marriage, I realised my unle and the wife were never meant to be together as husband and wife. He had made the worst mistake of his life.
of course, he's not a weakling but the wife knew the man would not hit back and that's enough for her to launch her assault. it's a lose-lose situation. remain calm & get beaten. retaliate & go to prison. report & be ridiculed or even get arrested!!

i am satisfied with fellaini - we lost to city because we allowed many crosses in from the flanks. valencia rarely protected smalling, young protected evra and zabaleta who's one of city's disguised weapon was subdued. had we plugged city's route on valencia's side, we would have fared way better on the day.

which of the goals can you really blame fellaini for?

Donxavier: ^^^^

But wait o, where do people get wives from hell embarassed embarassed? Husbands from hell embarassed embarassed?
there are hellish people everywhere.
majority of these people were victims of abuse as kids. they all grew up in strife & won't hesitate to dish it out to someone they consider a weakling.

it's similar to what happened in nigerian federal govt colleges where seniors took their frustrations on the juniors. many of these seniors suffered too when they were juniors. so it's a vicious cycle of everlasting violence.

Donxavier: is it only in the UK? I can't even imagine in naija a man would come out and say he's being abused by his wife I'd be like wtfhuh.... what NGO or police does he want to report to?
it's a social taboo for any man to report he's been abused by a woman so men rarely report these incidents. women abuse men at the same rate as men abuse women.
Family › Re: For Abused Wives, Girlfriends & Men!!! by coogar: 9:04am On Sep 25, 2013
Nogen: Men also get physically and emotionally abused. That's how one wicked woman from the pit of hell my uncle married abused him till he died. Yes, she strangled him in his hospital bed. Did I forget to tell you my uncle was her 2nd husband who died in her hands. Everyday, I curse her and I will never ever allow any woman abuse my brothers. I worship and honour my husband and in return, I get a queenly treatment that I deserve. My mum and her family watched until they lost their son and brother in the name of IT WILL BE FINE IN THE END! Was it fine eventually? HELL NO! I repeat, NO WOMAN WILL MALTREAT MY BROTHERS AND NO MAN WILL MALTREAT MY SISTERS. Once bitten, twice shy. Never again!
the most painful thing here is men cannot even say these things in public. how many men can go to a police station & say they have been abused by their wives. in the UK, the man would most likely be arrested on the spot.
Family › Re: For Abused Wives, Girlfriends & Men!!! by coogar:
Donxavier: wow, I don't even know what to say. I can't imagine any lady trying that with me. I think you are too gentle. Ah! you go fear fear now. There is some kind of fierceness that you need to exhibit as a man, even if the lady is possessed by 20000 demons, she will respect herself. Bros, you are under asserting your authority and that's not good for a man. You need to send her packing.
the lady will try it 20,000 times with you cos she expects you not to hit back. naturally many men are very reluctant to hit a woman, even in self defence, because it is considered very unmanly.

in fact this is something that many violent women depend upon. i was reading an article on this topic and the study revealed..

"when it comes to nonreciprocal violence between intimate partners, women are more often the perpetrators".

in fact, women were found to be the perpetrator 70.7% of the time.

"Women [who hit their husband or boyfriend] stated that they expressed aggression toward their male partners in part because they wished to engage their partner's attention, particularly emotionally. Also assaultive women did not believe that their male victims would be seriously injured or would retaliate”.

"Deeper reasons endorsed for initiating aggressive behaviour" included "I believe if women truly are equal to men then women should be able to physically express anger at men".

"I feel personally empowered when I behave aggressively against my partner"

or perhaps fellaini did his job but the players ahead of him failed to register shots on targets from his passes. when i said rooney was useless on the day, i was told i was a hater. for a chance to be created, the recipient of my pass must take a shot towards the goal.

how can fellaini make 46 accurate passes in the opponents half and yet none of his teammates took one shot from those passes? think about it. welbeck & rooney were lethargic. they did nothing but huffing & puffing like paraplegics from congo republic!

BinghiNya: . Co ogar keeps hating while rooney keeps scoring. Rooney is our best player.
sure he is....
the bloated overrated pig. we saw how united fought and made several comebacks last season with RVP & hernandez taking games by the scruff of the neck.

elampiro: ***** When RVP is on the pitch we do not lose by more than one goal margin.
We are watching.
it's a proud record....
48 games in all competitions last season with RVP taking part and there's not a single game we lost more than a goal margin. even in the games we went 2 goals down or a goal down, RVP did something to turn those games into victories or draws or losses that are not humiliating.

where was rooney when city scored 1, 2, 3 and 4? taking a nap?? city ceded territory and lost the appetite then all of a sudden rooney started running around like a headless chicken. didn't he get the memo that the game was long gone by then? talk of medicine after death & the british media in their foolishness kept raving about his disgraceful performance like he's aguero.

at least we weren't humiliated....
since RVP joined united, he's only missed one league game which was yesterday's game. in that period, no team has beaten us more than a goal margin.

RVP went missing just once in the last 42 league games he's featured for us and we conceded 4 goals in 48 mins. this is a big indictment that wayne rooney is not fit to lead man utd. fergie knew rooney blows hot & cold too often to be relied upon & that's why he got RVP.

in a nutshell, rooney is a disgrace!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar:
McIrx: Rooney was isolated for most of the match especially when City were dominant;he doesn't get the ball in a position where he could run at or outwit Kompany,so how do you want him to beat the beast?!Most of the tussles he had with Kompany was when the ball was in the air,one of which led to him being cautioned. The mediocre display of the midfielders meant Rooney and Welbeck doesn't get the service they needed to make an impact.
stop distorting the facts....
rooney's hold-up play is substandard....the passes actually got to rooney but he did nothing with them. all rooney had to do was to draw kompany out & let young & valencia occupy the space kompany has left in the back.

As a matter of fact,Rooney was Man U's best player in the match.
And,for the record,Man U suffered 8 fouls and had 4 corner kicks all through the match, with Rooney converting one of the set pieces,so,your claim of 12 set pieces in the first half is very wrong.
i dunno how people arrived at rooney being the best player - because he scored? cleverley was the best player on the pitch. he brought up more urgency, passed the ball well and got everyone involved.

rooney took all the setpieces on the day. shyte deliveries all through. the corners & indirect freekicks were horrible. we had tall players all over the pitch - carrick, fellaini, welbeck, rio, smalling, vidic and yet, rooney couldn't deliver for any of them to score.

rooney was shyte!
look at the graphics - he received 52 passes throughout. carrick, cleverley & fellaini supplied 29 of those passes to rooney so the distortion of facts that rooney had no service should not be entertained on this thread.

McIrx: Nah,he hasn't done "extremely" well.Against Chelsea,Liverpool and City,we played like we've got nobody upfront.Just one goal in those three games is a poor return. For a City team that has scored an average of three goals per game at Etihad this season, scoring won't be a problem. The best way to beat them would've been to outscore them, but we were 'toothless' upfront. Please, the intensity is lacking!!!
and who's supposed to provide the intensity in the absence of van persie? ashley young? did rooney even manage to take the game by the scruff of it's neck and force a goal before city started dicing us?

did rooney even beat kompany once during the game? this is where ronaldo is a different kettle of fish - he would have made one of those setpiece situations counted. rooney took about 12 set-pieces in the first half. we did nothing with them.

About Wayne Rooney not leading the line, what do you expect him to do when the midfield is being bossed by Yaya? The times he had the ball, almighty Kompany was breathing down his neck.Starting Welbeck upfront ruined it all.Hernandez would've posed more threat to City's defense line than Welbeck,in which Kompany would have to keep an eye on him due to his smartness thereby freeing up Rooney to have more impact upfront.
i can understand why moyes started welbeck - he went for power instead of stealth. fans have criticised chicharito's strength in games like this in the past & welbeck was handful against swansea but it seems that was down to the excellent holdup play of van persie.

I'm talking in general terms here. That woman was at her wits end to demand you intrude in her space since you had a nonchalant attitude towards her.

letting her ask for it is the best. i don't have time for cheap chitchats discussing eclipse of the moon. the more available a man makes himself to a woman, the cheaper he becomes to her.

Women love authoritative men, not authoritarians. I'm speaking in general, so certainly there would be outliers.

StarBoard: I beg to disagree, my friend.
United beat those sides AWAY last season.
So why have the fixtures all of a sudden become difficult? If we were well prepared for the season (which you may or may not agree to), then we don't need to term the fixtures as "difficult".
we beat them away last season now means they are not difficult? how many times have we won at stamford bridge in the last 10 years? we have lost 6 of the last 7 fixtures at anfield & city is a derby match. didn't city beat us at OT last season? the penultimate season, they took 6 points from us. how are they not difficult. ask any football fan who would finish in the top 3 and city & chelsea would come up on the lips of everyone.

United finished 11 points ahead of City, and it could have been more had the tail-end not turned into the farewell Fergie nostalgia tour. We finished how many points above Liverpool sef, so how did Liverpool, whom we beat home and away suddenly become this tough side under the space of one summer?
It's a lazy excuse to give reason for failure. Simple.
liverpool away? you forgot we played against 10 men for most parts. jonjo shelvey copped a red card and it took a dodgy penalty to even win at anfield. on the basis of performance alone, we were shyte!!!

In 08/09, I repeat, we had the squad to do win the title and get to the CL final.
Tevez, rooney, Berbatov, Ronaldo, just to mention a few.
We were defending champions of both the League and the Champions league.
We had Fergie and Queiroz at the head of our bench.
Fast track to 5 years down the line and what do we have?
no one said that with the poor start. we drew newcastle at OT. we lost scandalously to liverpool & could only draw at the bridge. the same outcry poured out criticising united & blah blah. you said we had a team that could win the title then - did we have a team that could win it last season when we won by 11 points?

no need to sound like a beat on autotune.
no two seasons are alike, according to you, so how am I going to relate that with this season?
a tough fixture is a tough fixture...
seasons alike or not. not too many teams would go to the grounds of their bitter rivals and win. city & liverpool are our bitter rivals - that will not change until armageddon(fergie or no fergie).

But Fergie would rotate his squad wisely and not play a Rio three times in 8 days.
Most times in my lifetime following United, we usually went about our business not minding who played whom. But now we're being asked to wait till others play each other, it just shows how low we've sunk, really.
We could afford to be 15th after four games because we knew we could come good with the squad we had. Not this time.
refer back to 08/09....
fergie complained about this too. of course, when the fixtures are favourable, there's nothing to whinge about but when it's as crazy as the one handed to us this season, the alarm bell would ring. fergie actually said he would send a man utd representative to monitor subsequent draws at the FA after seeing the 08/09 fixtures.

We lost to City, true that.
But we've also beaten them there in times past. At least three times in the league in the last 5 season before yesterday,if memory serves me correct.
So telling me that game was not winnable is strange to me.
they have beaten us more than we have beaten them on their ground. they walloped us on evra's debut in 06. they beat us home/away in 07/08 under sven. they mauled us on their way to the title home & away. one of the results was 6-1 on our ground and you don't think playing them is difficult?

At Liverpool we won 3 out of the last 7 and drew one, so that's just about even. which tells me we also could have gone there and copped at least a draw.
in all competitons(including FA & carling cup), we have lost 6 of the last 7 fixtures there. anfield is a tough place to go for united. southampton can go there & win. enyimba or warri wolves can even get a win there but not united!

Moyes had a summer to at least acquaint himself with his new tools: at least 6 weeks should be enough to get a fair idea of what your side looks like.
he knows his squad!!

I do not trust your assertion about the bottom sides because even on the pre-season tour, he didn't show the knack to beat some of these basement sides we played in Asia.
Arsenal and Spurs have played themselves. That's a big tie:the North London derby.
Drop this fixture excuse.
arsenal & spurs? when was the last time any of them finished 2nd never mind winning the title. the venue mostly determines the winner of these derby games. arsenal won cos they were at home. spurs could have won if they were at home as well.

moyes already trounced swansea 4-1 this season. the same swansea destroyed valencia last week and you are here talking in greek. how could we have played the fixtures arsenal had and not even do better than 12/15? think about it....

If Moyes had the 12-15 points you say he would have against these basement sides, we would be hailing him as a genius. so why should we not label him average when he cops just 1 out of 9 against so-called " tough" sides?
how do you know what i would say about moyes? there are tough & easy fixtures. if moyes wins all his easy fixtures, I would want to see how he fares against the big boys and this is why i'm saying judging him now is extremely premature. he has not lost any game we usually win.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 11:03am On Sep 23, 2013
debosky: Comparisons are indeed somewhat premature, but the signs aren't promising. . . .yet.

Yes Arsenal and Spurs haven't faced any 'big' sides (except themselves - I'd consider anyone in the top 5 a big side for this purpose). But then again, Spurs (and to a lesser extent) Arsenal have made a number of signings which have/will change their starting 11 set up. One could argue that they will get even better when they gel.
what has the number of signings made gotta do with performance & results? there are easy fixtures & there are tough fixtures. arsenal have not played a tough fixture yet. their spurs game was at home so they had the advantage. if spurs were at home, they would have beaten arsenal too.

Compare them to United that is virtually unchanged (bar Fellaini) and you see why better performances are expected from United, even against tougher opposition.
conveniently forgetting liverpool away & city away are united's most difficult games in history. i don't need to explain the reason why these games are difficult.

Furthermore, some of United's losses have been against sides still effectively finding their feet - Citeh with a new coach and new players (also arguably will get better) and Liverpool with numerous new players (Aspas, Toure, etc.) - you would expect a more settled United 'machine' to beat these fledgling sides, even playing away.
teams finding their feet? city with a new manager? oh i forgot, moyes has been with us for 20 years. as far as changes go, united would feel it more than city or liverpool. changing managers at liverpool & man city is a norm. this is the first time united players are experiencing such since 1986.

On the flip side, having the same coaches from last season may give Spurs and Arsenal an early advantage which may disappear once Moyes gets to knows his team. It's difficult to assess this factor's impact at the moment.
spurs & arsenal won't finish above man utd this season. you can bookmark this page. after 15 league games, the boys would have been separated from the men. united starting poor is never a worry. we have started poorly & have won the league. we have started brightly and won the league!

It's always best to wait for at least 10 games before judging, and I think that will apply more to this season than any before it. There is so much in flux at the top sides in the league - it needs to settle down before we identify strong trends.
your most intelligent statement so far....
you could have just written that instead of talking about other teams still finding their feet. the fergie factor alone makes united unstable - you cannot compare that to spurs buying 20 players or arsenal adding ozil to their squad.

Go and sleep jor.
Since Villa beat Arsenal what has happened? Answers on a postcard please.
And which event has been more recent? Arsenal losing to Villa or United labouring to beat 10 man Palace?
since then arsenal have played stoke, sunderland, fulham & spurs. their spurs game was at the emirates. how many times have these teams finished in the top four in the last 10 years?

now compare to city(away) chelsea and liverpool(away) - 2 of those teams have won the league in recent times so we were up against it from the get go.

how can you not see comparing us to arsenal/spurs at this stage is premature?

Yet you want us to believe that on the basis of Arsenal losing to Villa on the opening day of the season and City losing to Cardiff United will beat the bottom sides and win the league
Abeg pack you back and go to school .Junior WAEC is around the corner.
united will win the league this season..
the fixtures would be kind to us from now on as others face their tough fixtures. the next 5 games are easy games that would fetch us 15 points easily and take us to the top 3. even with the poor start, we are only 5 points below the league leaders. we have not done badly at all.

Beat Swansea and Crystal Palace
Drew with a scared Chelsea at home
Lost to Liverpool and City.
David Moyes' results so far are just average and he needs to be criticized. He is manager if United now, not Everton. If he cannot stand the criticism he should phock off.
Coogar those fixtures are not too difficult. Certainly not the easiest start but at the same time not the hardest.
He should stop moaning the fixtures and get to work.
they are very difficult.....
city, liverpool & chelsea in the first 5 game weeks are very very difficult. only united get this kind of horrible fixture list. playing 2 tough away games in 5 couldn't have helped moyes.

in 08/09, we had these fixtures. drew newcastle at OT, won 1-0 against pompey, lost to liverpool, drew at chelsea. after 4 games, we were 15th on the table. this was under ferguson. no one doubted his ability then.

He has ballers in Nani,Kagawa, Finishers in Hernandez languishing at the bench. Real hardened defenders like Evans on the bench. Yet he selects mediocre zombies like Valencia, Welbeck, Ashley Young, Fellaini, at their expense. I was attacked for saying he is turning United into Everton, but even that would be a slight on present day Everton who are turning into United.
like i have said, judge him in the games united would normally win & not the ones we usually lose even under fergie. did we not lose games at the etihad under fergie? what's our win record at anfield under fergie?

now we want to justify the 2 wins from 5 with the fixture list. If it was going to be difficult for him why didn't he resign when he saw the fixtures initially instead of making excuses?
Not only is he an indecisive dullard, he takes cowardice and bitching to whole new heights.
Let's assume we had a fixture list of Tottenham and Evertn in our first five fixtures, will we be assuming it would be OK to lose all 5 fixtures, just because they were tough?
even sir alex used to complain about the fixture list when he was here. arsenal & spurs have not played any big team yet. their results would look decent so don't pay attention to the table yet. we won't see a pattern until after october when most of the title challengers would have played some of their difficult games.

Moyes never had it in him. Someone who could not win an away fixture again the big sides is not going to do magic overnight just because hr is. At United. He is just giving what he has: mediocrity.
the players he worked with at everton are different from what he is working with at old trafford. if our first 5 games were against teams that finished in the bottom half of the table, we would be talking about 12-15 points as we speak. name one big team arsenal or spurs have played? none!!!!
