Katsumoto: Thanks

If I schooled in Naija, Ife and UI would have been my preferred choices; with Unilag a third choice.
why UI before UNILAG? grin cheesy
to the best of my knowledge, i have been told certain schools are special in some certain disciplines. everyone i have spoken to home & away says UI's medicine is the best & Ife's pharmacy is peerless.

i have heard of LASU's law too and et cetera....i really don't know what UNILAG is good at though but the few times i have been there were splendid....nice chics, high end cars on campus and high level of social activity.
Scholes, Giggs, Messi, Rafael etc (just to name a few) didn't go on loan to hone their skill... While the likes of Fabio, Macheda, I can name 20 more that went on loan, without achieving anything. If you have the skill set, you'll succeed regardless of loans. I see Januzaj as a player who is ready to make that step up to the first team.
even jack wilshere went on loan.....
rafael is a special talent - we all knew he's a gem on his debut. janujaz & lingard have not shown that level of football artistry yet.

lertee: I reaally thankGod for google, you have ended up studying words on google, clap for yourself braa,it is an achievement for someone that has an intelligence level equivalent to that of a sheep.
You further show your dull attitude by claiming what I did not say, making mistake in writing a word is quite different from making a typo error ,I never wrote that ”lamp” was a typo error incase your sight is damaging by the day,you can do yourself good by visiting an optician ,donr what I did not say braa
tongue
you can only make such mistakes because of your kerosene background - and that's exactly my point. people like you are so genetically dumb because of your single digit IQ. why are you crying because you chose to attend one of the worst federal universities in nigeria?

it's not because you preferred ilorin to ife, it's simply because your JAMB score could not get past the cut-off marks of the top schools. this is why you ended up in ilorin and the school completed the aroma of shyte your mentality oozes from the beginning.

you are not on my level - you are too intellectually sterile to even compete. i reiterated, when it's time to start looking at 3rd-tier universities where simpletons of your ilk are populated, i would send you a message. if you have any iota of decorum left, you should log out and go cry a river in your closet!

Thanks for the pictures.

Am surprised Dayokanu didn't make more comments.

Well done to Awo and Akintola for such a splendid school; despite the worst intentions of the FG, it remains one of the best in Africa.
shekpe & alomo bitters has eroded dayokanu's memory - he cannot remember many things.
That's why I agreed with you about having a large squad. two good players per position with the support of younger players in case of Injuries would do., that way the coach would be able to give players like Januzaj and Lingard a chance to develop. Ozil isn't needed. Adding him to a squad that already boast the likes of Rooney, Kagawa fighting for the same position won't be a good idea.
janujaz & lingard must go on loan to break into the first team squad. welbeck, cleverley and even fabio(after a CL final start) went on loan. you just don't push players from the academy into the first team. they need hands-on experience in a mid-table team to hone their skills.
solskjaer retired very early that season, Saha was injured for the most part of the season. So in reality we have only 3 forwards. ( Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo)

Scholes was injured for most of the first half of the season. Fletcher didn't play much and he was unhappy, even wanted to move to Celtic. Oshea is defender. Gibson was still a teenager in the reserve team. So in reality we had 4 central midfielders(Scholes, Hargreaves, Anderson and, carrick)
do you know who & who are going to be injured this season already? this is why you stock players otherwise everyone would just have 14-16 players in their squad and get on with it.

fletcher played 16 league games that season & scholes played in 24 league games. even chris eagles played in 4 games.

if ozil can sit on the bench in madrid then he would sit on the bench here. one thing is sure though, he would play more games here than he would get to play in madrid.

moyes is not a fan of traditional wingers - he uses inverted ones like pienaar or miralas. there's a spot for ozil here. keeping players happy is a moot point. how did we keep them happy in 07/08 season?

lertee: Every university of ilorin student or graduate is traceable, all you need to do is type the matric number on google, tht is Unilorin for you even ife doesn't have this. When last did you visit ilorin? No need to answer cos if you were there recently you would know there is just one campus apart from school of basic medical science which is in the teaching hospital.
My dear stop living in the past, you need serious enlightenment.
buhahahaha...
i bet they pulled down all the structures in your school and simply built new ones. one campus or 6 campuses is theory - it does not change the physical description of your school.

i know it hurts your school sucks - not one person has supported your claim here but dozens of people have supported the OP's stance that ife is the most beautiful in the whole nigeria.

bellong: Beauty of a place is not restricted to new paint or high-rise building but also include planning, architectural design and what have you.

I wouldn't know of now, IFE is the only university you will not see powerlines scattered everywhere. Most of the power cables were passed underground. The drainage in the school is unparalleled with any other in Nigerian universities. People please appreciate the foresight of the founding fathers of the institution and let us blame present government for leaving it to wallow in disrepair.
this is very very true....
the power lines were laid underground especially the areas built in the 70s. the drainage is also like most schools in the western world.

good observation, bellong!

afrodoc: i agree.
like i said before SAF and David Gill leaving at the same time was a big mistake.
important to get the new manager in early preseason but david gill could have delayed leaving until d end of this transfer window.this woodward is scary o,i hope he is not an ivan gazidis in sheep's clothing?
woodward is a penny-pincher like wenger. i know his types. he's either a conservative or a shrewd miser who cannot pull a finger out of his arsë.

this is man utd for effing sake - the current champions of england and we cannot do transfer business. look at spurs, city and chelsea. they are closing deals everyday whilst we are not even sure about our own transfer targets.

but i have been to your school....
i have been to about 12 federal universities in nigeria and i am afraid, your school is the worst of the lot. even FUTA has better architectural designs than ilorin. how did i know about your mini campus & main campus if i hadn't been in your school?

does my schooling abroad prevent me from visiting federal schools in nigeria or what's exactly your point about hearsays? you don't even strike me as an undergraduate - i hope you are not a pepper merchant faking to be an ilorin student. your points are weaker than bin laden's heart condition.

afrodoc: its just disheartening to see the pillar to post nature of our transfer moves.
there seems to be no design or coherent strategy.what i can surmise is that moyes
probably wants a CM who is good on the ball e.g Modric,Fabregas,Thiago,Herrera AND Fellaini.
i say this cos fellaini is d only player of his ilk we r linked to while we continue being linked to
a plethora of other similar possession midfielders.
the decision makers at OT are fools.....
fergie should have stayed a month longer, same as david gill. the void left by those 2 cannot be filled by lightweights like woodward & moyes and it's telling now.

woodward is a wenger clone - instead of running after cesc & thiago like a räpist throughout june, £35m would have prised ozil away from madrid all these weeks. we don't need baines, we have evra, fabio, buttner and johnie evans who can play as left back.

besides, if i had schooled in nigeria, i would have gone to OAU. i got their admission letter cos i wrote UME in nigeria. all my first cousins & 2nd cousins went to OAU - it's the standard where i hail from so stop chatting nonsense.

i did not bring my alma mata into this thread cos all the schools in africa put together cannot compete with my school. however, OAU still shytes on your school and the shyte is the watery type so shut up and listen.

hersweetness: Yes, too many controlling men in Nigeria and I've gotten used to overlooking and ignoring them, but now that I've met a nice one, I can't just seem to beat the habit.

Ok just one instance:

1. I have this habit of just saying 'shut up' at intervals at people who I think are making long unnecessary speeches. I keep promising to change but I just find myself doing it again anytime I'm mad. He finds my 'shut up' insulting.

Ok, another instance. I have a habit of totally ignoring him whenever I'm angry, no matter where we are. I've tried to stop it but I find myself doing it whenever I'm pissed.

He complains about my stubbornness too but I'm not so interested in changing that. All I want to know is if there's a way I can still combine stubbornness
with respect. Because for now, my stubbornness only seems to be synonymous with disrespect.
it's a phase....

ask any geology student in ife - the average number of years they spend completing a degree is 8 years & the course itself is a 4-year course.
We play 442 or should I say 4411 with Rooney playing as a withdrawn striker. (not all the time, but quite a lot)
we have been playing 4-2-3-1 for 2 straight seasons now - no team plays 4-4-2 again. it's now done & dusted. the revolution of 4-2-3-1 has swept across the premier league. why do you think teams now have coutinho, kagawa, silva, mata, cazorla, michu, etc in the division now?

Even without Januzaj and Giggs, we still have Ashley Young who can also play behind the striker. He played there for Villa sometimes and has also played there for United a few times .
young & ozil would lock the left side - nani & zaha should lock the right side down. the middle would be rooney/kagawa. van persie/hernandez to fight for the arrowhead. welbeck would deputise if any of the strikers cop any injury.

My take is that we need to sell one of our forwards to accommodate Ozil.
why do we need to? who has chelsea, city, spurs sold to accommodate their long list of midfielders? it's going to be a long and tedious season with about 60 games to play. united need a bulky squad to compete. fergie is no longer here, the fear factor has reduced so moyes needs a big signing and fellaini.

So do you honestly think it is easy to bag a first class in unilorin or even a second class upper?people have carryovers, they spill and even splash but then when you don't go strike, you are sure to graduate at the exact time you should..and for popularity sakes ife is only popular in the southwest my friend,UI is more popular in nigeria, ife graduates only blow it out of proportion and make it seem like it is more than tht "OAU”
first class is easier to get in ilorin than OAU where most of their lecturers are old school types. they don't compromise and they are not interested in money or sëx - they just want to frustrate their students and draw sweat & blood from them.

my cousin did geology in OAU.... there's a course GLY201(one of the hardest courses on the planet) that is a pre-requisite to all his 2nd semester courses. if you fail that course, then you cannot register in your second semester - which automatically means an extra session.

you want to compare that to ilorin? a school where anybody can get into and run with their top grades under 4 years? my friend, go and sit down o. when okija is doing his photography on polytechnics & college of education, you can come back & talk about ilorin.

personally, i think ilorin should be stripped off his federal university status & converted to a state polytechnic.
