On he doesn't offer you the full package as a number 9, I can relate.

LVG cant just be telling Rooney to make more runs, Rooney is not a rookie.... He knows it is a point of duty to do that

The above is what I was asking you to deliver... And you have done that

I told you that dude still has a bit of fire in his belly and I think he will prove you wrong this season fam!

Lets see how he acquits himself against arguably the best passing team in the league, on sunday!

Pay attention....
of course, tougher tests lie ahead.
he was magnificent last night but i want to see more of this in the BPL where we don't have dunce defenders like brugge FC. your grandma would have scored a hatrick against that defence last night as well. all the goals were put on a plate for him.

There you go again.... rambler!
In the past and pre-last night, you said Rooney doesn't make intelligent runs at and will never do so or that he is finished... Isnt it?
He cant score goals and all of that crap....
The intelligent runs he made last night, he has made a fair few times when it has worked for United in the past few months.... But as usual, you chose to blow out of proportion the times when he fails or is having a bad day!
Be fair dude and stop over castigating the fat fu...cker!
if he hasn't made intelligent runs until last night then my assertion before the game was correct. maybe, he has been spoken to by LVG to make more runs into the opponent's box. you were the one that said his team mates don't create enough chances for him and yet rooney scored 3 times from a 1v1 with the goalie........brugge are a shyte team although you still have to beat what's in front of you.....but tougher tests lie ahead. he took his chances well last night and that was because his movement was on point in comparison to the shyte he had served in the last 6 months or so....

be that as it may, he still does not completely offer us what we need in a number 9 for this team. he does not run the channels, his first instinct is back and not forward. he still has a very poor first touch. he still can't beat a man. herrera's goal last night was a perfect example. you can see the difference between rooney and herrera who is not even a #9. i ain't talking about space and what the movement of both players did but just the mind-set. herrera was looking to run in behind the back line whereas rooney wanted to move back to help the midfield.

ElFenomeno1:
One thing I can take away from the ejacula....tion above is that Brugge is one of the weakest team in Europe
A team Depay had a plethora of chances against and couldn't put one past...... If that was Rooney I am sure you would have started your caustic rants on his case this morning!
Troglodyte!
depay is 21, in a new team and he's still finding his feet.
rooney is a vet, a striker and he gets paid one of the highest wages to find the back of the net. surely, there's a difference between the two but a pederast like yourself won't see it from inches away.

Rooney made some intelligent runs and positioning himself well in the box tonight which he has mostly failed to do in times past. While I also note that Brugge had some really dunce defenders tonight, I also believe Rooney has revived his striking mojo again.

Januzaj has no business in this present ManU team. He should go on loan to West Brom or something.
this is an intelligent observation from a rival fan. if only el-feminine can be this smart.......this is what too much weed does to the nervous system of a prepubescent loser. like i was saying last night, a striker that runs into the box will always get chances. compare his performance last night to the times he was making just 1 touch in the opponent's box.

It seems your pessimism over rooney is over-clouding your judgement, don't want to peel this old wound but i thought you guys should see this situation from a second eye..........because i can't seem to reason the magic you want rooney to perform...maybe taking the ball from the midfield and dribbling both the CDM's and CB's to score.....HABA.....our attackers are not helping him at all and LVG is just adding more salt to the wound by playing players out of position.......Depay is still measuring up and you can notice it in his plays, he's trying to prove himself same thing with other players they are scared to lose passes and give passes.....our style of play is not working out......imagine, we're playing with two CDM's, there's no width on the right side because mata is always cutting in, our no 10 is most times clueless forgetting he needs to link up with our striker, depay always want to dribble his way trough and still get goals for himself........okay coogar now suggest ways any striker will progress with this present type of style......
there's no width in city's left side too.....silva or whoever that plays there cuts in as well.
football has evolved, the full backs should provide the width when we are attacking. the reason we don't create enough is because the lead striker does not stretch the defence. the lead striker should be running towards the opponent's goal while managing to keep onside. by this, the defenders would follow his run and this would create space at the edge of the box for the floating 3 behind rooney to operate. when mata or depay has the ball, rooney runs towards them cos he gets too attracted to the ball.....that is what is stifling our attack.

immediately chicharito entered the pitch on saturday, the thrust of the attack changed wholesomely cos he's the type to stretch defenders. rooney is too fat and too slow to stretch or threaten any defender. wilson would offer us more bite than rooney can do these days cos he lacks the pace. even strikers without pace can become a target man.......by receiving passes with their back to the goal, holding the ball till the support arrives and playing a pass into the box. rooney cannot do any of these things. he's the poorest player in the BPL when it comes to short intricate passes, his first touch is zero and he cannot control any ball thrown at him.

So because Yaya Toure scores goals from a deep lying position, Wayne should automatically do so.... You are a scone!
considering the fact that this same wayne earns £300k/week, he should score goals anywhere he finds himself on the pitch. he's a natural striker already.....all he needs to do is to roam forward when it's safe to do so and then bang in the goals. he's been playing the #9 position consistently now since we tonked newcastle in february.....from that time, he's only scored 2 goals in 14 games in total. 2/14 from the centre forward position and you are here disgracing your family name and dragging the credibility of your dilapidated college in the mud.

All I am saying is that excerpt shouldn't be used as a yardstick for measure....
You don't watch this players every day in training.... So for you to come and saddle Rooney with all of your woes upfront is bloody ridiculous!
I bet the reason Falcao didn't score more than John Terry is because of Wayne! grin
Ode.
falcao has a better record as a CF than rooney......that's exactly the point!
2 goals in 14 games altogether suggest rooney is more of a liability than you are to your parents. grin

My post wasn't for you to grade.......i tried to bring out a point there but it seems you are lacking behind ......you guys are laying our below par attacking problems only on rooney.....
your brains are lagging behind, bro.
rooney should shoulder all the responsibility in that attack. he's the arrow-head. it seems you people don't know the function of a centre-forward. everything in that area of the pitch should naturally go through rooney. you have a striker who cannot make the ball stick to his feet, a striker who cannot hold the ball long enough to allow runners breeze past him and he cannot tread an intelligent pass in the form of a through ball to feed his runners.

on top of that, rooney is now too slow to receive the ball either aerially or on the ground. rooney has no pace again to get behind the opponent's defence line or play the last man. he has lost all these attributes so how exactly do you expect us to score? rooney is part of the spine of the team in that position and when the head is infected with a virus, it would affect the other parts of the pitch. man utd are fine until they get to the final third and the attack breaks down whenever rooney gets the ball.

defenders find it very easy to play against rooney cos he offers zero threats to them.

Even you coogar if you play barca's no9 u are assured of 10+ goals a season but with the way we play even cr7 as a no9 will struggle..... our attackers are not creating chances for the striker.....We are generally poor in attacking.......i'm not justifying rooney but i think it was this kind of football that added to the diminishing two ( if i must say "good"wink CF last season.....

Hope my points are clear
CR7 as #9 will not struggle cos he's always on his toes. the moment his team mates get the ball on their feet, CR7 is running towards the opposing centre-halves. those are the scenarios that create chances. in rooney's case. he runs towards the ball instead of running towards the opponent's goal. without a player taking the risk of running towards the opponent's goal, chances cannot be created. have you watched aguero this season and how he always seem to always level with the last man? that's how to be a centre-forward. cool

ElFenomeno1:
In all of the nine months, Rooney has played deeper until more recently.
People find information to support their arguments..... Is it a fair assessment? in my opinion, nah!
you're a disgrace to football analysis.
in those 9 months, rooney played as a centre forward. so your excuse for his lack of goals is because he was played deeper? how does yaya toure score goals then? when we call you a big dunderhead now, you would start acting like a female on her most painful period.

Even with this current set up, play Javier Hernandez as no. 9 for 3 consecutive games let's see if Rooney is put to shame or not.

I can't still figure out why we blame our poor goal scoring form only on rooney..... i posted this stats to show you guys that although the CF's are responsible for the goals, but it all depends on the team work .....Kompany is city's highest goal scorer......elampiro defended rooney and i think he did that because he saw what other united faithfuls didn't see and that is the set up of LVG infamous philosophy........to retain possession in midfield and not lose the ball ( hence passing sidways)....rooney can't track back to collect the ball and at the same be in box to receive the ball........costa has only scored 1 of chelsea's goals this season, the midfielders has had their share of goals too same thing with the city side......I'm of the opinion rooney is rusty but i still feel its LVG philosophies thats affecting the team now!
your analysis would have made plenty of sense but rooney hasn't found the net as a striker in the last 10 competitive games. reframe your analysis to capture the last 10 competitive games that aguero, giroud, costa and harry kane have played for their respective clubs and tell us what you find from it. that should be a very simple task for you. grin

he's the only striker in the world that is allowed to start the season with weight or fitness problems. he's the only striker who has consistently been shyte when going to anfield or goodison park. the media have led us to believe rooney can never play well in those 2 matches season after season and the fans have swallowed that line for aeons - he should be asked to refund some of his wages for his poor performances in 90% of those fixtures over the years.

how can a so called elite striker raking in £300k/week fail to find the net in 10 competitive games for man utd? it's an effing disgrace. if LVG isn't a silly man, he should have binned rooney since. kagawa didn't go on such a shambolic run of games before he got the boot. rooney's captainship for man utd and the 3 lions shouldn't make him immune to criticism. the media are blaming his team mates for the drought when it's obvious the player has lost everything required to be a top class centre forward.

how is the player not the problem?
it's one thing for a player to be out of luck.....hitting shots on target that the goalie seems to be catching or hitting the post. if that was the case, i wouldn't even flinch one bit. the fact is rooney is not even making himself available to take shots on target. he has the fewest touches in the box in the entire league, so how's he meant to score when he's not even in the position to take shots on target.

Exactly what i'm thinking. And i have this nagging feeling that Woodward wanted to get more players like Otamendi, but LvG as usual stopped him so he could assess his mediocre techniques like he did last season. How LvG couldnt' allow Ed make a move on Otamendi just cos of Blind is what i will never understand. That gaffer is clueless. Pellegerini wouldn't have passed up, on that opportunity. This gaffer keeps adding more to a star-studded Citeh side. He means business cos he doesn't wanna get sacked.
he's probably playing nepotism with blind.
blind has lost his place in the midfield and he has to somehow play him somewhere in the team. it seems shaw has rediscovered himself lately and rojo is also there to fight for that LB position. the only other position is the CB where you have camels like phil jones and evans. to LVG's credits, blind has worked perfectly in that position but i fear for him when we play beastly teams like citeh, liverpool, etc. benteke and costa would eat blind like guguru. grin
