Its like Saying AC Milan or Liverpool is a better team CURRENTLY than Atletico Madrid or Bayern because AC Milan won the CL 2 times between 03-07 and Liverpool played 2 CL finals in that time frame

WHen EPL clubs were tops they were ranked 1 now they are failing and are properly named 3rd maybe soon to be 4th in the ranking

5 years is a small sample size in comparison to 10 years.
like i said, the english league's performance has dropped drastically in the last 3 years but that shouldn't be a yardstick to give their slot to italy or even germany. 8 english teams played in the finals in the last 11 seasons......do you know any other league in europe that has dominated it more since 92/93 season?

it is based on performance but that UEFA ranking does not paint the full picture. it's a disrespect to england that they might lose their place to italy when england has actually contributed more in the last 10 years than any other league in the history of the champions league.

12 seasons is such a long time. i would expect any striker to have notched 300 goals in 12 seasons. ruud scored an average of 30 goals per season with us. in 12 seasons, ruud would have had 360 goals. rooney doesn't have 260 goals as of yet. there's a difference between quality and okrika-made. in the pantheon of quality stikers in europe in the last 20 years, rooney wouldn't be in the top 50.

rooney has benefitted from england's dearth of quality strikers.....he has no competition and his failure usually gets shrouded with excuses. how is a striker with 1 goal in 3 world cup tourneys great? owen did better in an england shirt than rooney did. he is lucky he comes from a country who hasn't got klose, drogba, david villa, donovan, ibrahimovic, etc
