dayokanu: The argument is that Demba Ba has been on the bench for almost Half of his Chelsea career in games he was eligible to playyou must be a troglodyte then if that's what you think..... ohhhh, wait a minute - is that the reason you were computing stats for torres? that torres has around 50% now means ba must also have the same? aunty dayo(cos you are a diva), how did you graduate from university? does it not occur to you that there were games where torres and ba were on the pitch together? southampton(away), torres came on for lampard and ba completed 90 mins. city(away), torres came on for mikel and ba completed 90 mins. ba has clearly spent less than half on the bench and more than half on the pitch. |
dayokanu: Demba is eligible in the FA cup, League cup and leaguewhat's the argument here? |
dayokanu: Torres has MAZACARdon't forget the assist stats......something ba does not contribute but torres did contribute in 3 consecutive games! even in fantasy football, 3 assists = 9 points, 2 goals from a striker = 8 points. considering the number of minutes spent by both players on the pitch, torres wins by default! |
dayokanu: In the same time frame Papiss Demba Cisse a similar lone striker has played 720 minutes and scored how many goals 3like i have told you, papiss cisse does not have MAZACAR to boost his scoring prowess. it's irrelevant to bring cisse into this matter. |
elampiro: If De Gea was so good SAF wouldn't rotate him with Lindegaard. We all witnessed those errors. They are similar to the errors Ben Foster made when he was in United. But the difference is De Gea has sharp reflexes, ability to stop long rage shots. He only need to adjust some part of his game. He has to deal with aerial balls better, command his box by being able to read the game better, and fidget less. He seemed to be adjusting well now in the last one month or so.we have read your submission but as things stand today, de gea is the best goalkeeper in the division! |
dayokanu: You are really asking for it aint you? Cos I think you are still new around here I have tried to be civil in my response to you but here it goes out of the windowsno need to fight.....the young man has boxed you into a corner.... demba ba has 2 goals + 0 assist in 389 mins with the full strength of MAZACAR and the greatest chelsea midfielder(lampard) sissoko has 3 goals + 3 assists in 528 mins as an attacking midfielder and substandard midfielders as team mates..... question - has ba flopped at chelsea or not playing with world class midfielders? dayokanu: In the same time frame Ba has been at chelsea Torres has started 10 gamesthat is a big lie. league mins spent is demba 389 - 354 torres. |
dayokanu: How many minutes has Sisokko played since he joined How many minutes has Papiss cisse played and howmany minutes has Ba playedyou are a troglodyte....cisse/sissoko do not have the brilliant MAZACAR working for them. ba should be scoring regularly whether he starts or he comes on as a substitute. dzeko scores regularly regardless of the minutes because silva, aguero, tevez and nasri would create something. hernandez scores regularly cos he has giggs, nani, valencia, young, rooney to create something. why is demba ba failing with MAZACAR? dayokanu: What makes Ba excellent 4 goals since january 2 league goalsdemba - 2 goals + 0 assist in 389 league mins torres - 0 goals + 3 assists in 354 league mins. torres has more productivity and he has played less league minutes than demba ba. |
El Guapo: Two things!he makes more sense than all the pro-ba crew put together. jackbauer has asked you to explain what makes ba excellent and torres poor. demba ba is not pulling trees - he's as insipid as torres! it's obvious you tools would not agree ba is a poor striker cos he was scoring regularly at newcastle and agreeing he's poor at chelsea would put the blame on the midfield thus vindicating torres. |
jackbauersballs: So what is Ba's excuse for having a similarly apalling shooting rate?the retards would only follow beer parlour opinions. why is ba excellent and torres poor? that's the question these charlatans cannot answer. we either agree both have been poor or both are excellent but being let down by a selfish midfield. demba has not improved chelsea's attack. lampard or mata are still the highest goal scorer @ chelsea. a certain sissoko(attacking midfielder) in newcastle has scored 3 league goals since ba joined chelsea. |
dayokanu: But Torres this same time has been playing vs Boro 2nd div, Startak, Steau, Wigan, Reading and QPR- Worse than Southampton and brom and still cant hit water when thrown off a boathe's scored against arsenal and man city this season - i don't see how wigan, steau or qpr would prove any difficulty. in the last 18 months, torres has scored against man utd, barcelona, arsenal, man city, italy(euro final), and plenty of other tough oppositions. put it on the plate for him and he would score. |
El Guapo: I Understand how Bad it feels to Concede defeat in an arguement, it looks like ur dignity and reputation have been rapèd In the street!i know your standard is very high so i would like to agree with your standard that torres has failed. however, this same high standard of yours should also reveal demba ba has failed as well. you cannot have it both ways. it's either you agree torres/ba have both failed or they have both done well using your high standard. |
jackbauersballs: Dayo you are a certifiable loonhe's a retard the same welbeck that scored against madrid couldn't score against cluj. by dayo's standard....cluj is tougher than madrid. you know demba ba has failed when his fans are counting he's scored 4 goals in 2013(3 of them against southampton and the other one against west brom). torres' goal against arsenal at the emirates weigh more in gold than demba's total haul in a blue shirt. |
jackbauersballs: Dayo stop being obtuse...Out of thos 5, Ba had 6 shots in 1 game with 4 on target.hahahahahahaha - dayo is getting trumped! he still cannot see the importance of suarez's conversion rate. 19% conversion rate is freaking poor but because liverpool give suarez so many chances, he still leads the scorer's charts! man utd, liverpool, spurs, etc are greater than the sum of their parts. chelsea are worse than the sum of their parts. MAZACAR should be creating 10 shots per game for torres with their skills. |
jackbauersballs: Couldn't say it better myself.this is what the idiots cannot see..... i can understand torres getting 117 scoring chances and squandering all of them but a striker who gets crumbs cannot match the likes of suarez or van persie. it's not just possible. 19% conversion rate = 22 league goals. shout outs to downing, sterling, gerrard, joe allen, glen johnson and enriquez. thumb down to MAZACAR, lampard and ramirez! liverpool know how to get the best out of their striker - chelsea don't know it yet. i was speaking to a chelsea fan the other day and he said the MAZACAR project is excellent on paper but ineffective in practical. |
dayokanu: The same Didier Drogba who won the CL for Chelsea? Who in the CL final scored from a single shot on target? Pass the spiff to the leftare you stupid? drogba scored 5 goals in 24 apps for chelsea last season. so one performance against a useless team like bayern is enough to make us forget his spastic performance throughout the season? this is why arguing with you can be tedious. you asked me to name a striker more ineffective than torres in the last 2 seasons, drogba and lukaku are 2 good answers. it's not about who scored in a final, it's about the overall performance throughout the season. Lukaku that played a total of 164 league minutes for Chelsea is now squadering chances? Abeg was it in the 164 substitute mins that he was squadering them>?if he was good, why was he sent on loan when torres was the only striker in chelsea? The clip I showed you where lampard laid on the plate for Torres, Suarez, Demba, RvP would have scored those, what did Torres do with his? He "Cutback" lol How can he get shots when all he is interested in is cutting back and keeping shekpethey wouldn't have scored those.....the space wasn't there again as torres touched the ball and he quickly made a cut-back to a fellow teammate who wasn't alert enough to follow up. |
dayokanu: The reason Torres doesnt get shots on target is because he is poor in spirit. he squaders everything. Attacking moves he ruins, Goal scoring opportunities he wastes. he cant do anything right. His movement are like a cripple with 2 left legsdrogba(chelsea) lukaku(chelsea) dayokanu: Most of Liverpools corner kicks are taken by Gerrard, Most penalties by gerrard only direct freekicks are taken by Suarez and he doesnt lay it for anyone he shoots. OK Suarez gets assists from hitting the post, What stops Torres from getting such assists?he would if he has selfless midfielders in liverpool laying it on a plate for him. suarez is the only striking outlet liverpool has got. he has 121 shots this season. i am sure its more than MAZACAR + torres put together. how can you compare to torres who gets 1 shot per match at chelsea? suarez misses 81% of the chance he gets and he has 22 league goals. christ, imagine what torres would do with that amount of chances.... https://cdn.eplindex.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Luis-Suarez-Goal-Attempts-Stats.png |
dayokanu: How many of Suarez set plays have been converted to goalsplenty of them and suarez is not even an arrow head, he's a forward and all access leads to him. he hits the post more than any player in the league bar van persie - he gets assists from those as well. the youtube link you keep wänking about is a cutback - i have shown you a similar clip with rooney doing the same for giggs. nando's reaction after the cut back seems to be gesturing to his team mate that the ball was laid on the plate for him. |
El Guapo: ^^ We've had our problems Yet Cech still beats him on the Log!cech beats who on the log? please don't make me laugh. cech is way down the log as we speak.......so is joe hart as well. they have been condemned into "has beens" by a 22-year-old spaniard goalkeeper. look at the save/shot ratio and get back to me. the kind of saves de gea makes are what cech/hart can only dream of. according to opta, joe hart isn't even the best english goalkeeper this season....he has regressed like crazy. sustaining success is difficult. https://cdn.whoscored.com/img/blog/2013%2f3%2fEnglands-No1.jpg |
jackbauersballs: Stats from Last Year when MaZaCar was formed, and everything was 'In place'this issue has been overtrashed.....torres is starved by the floating 2 behind him. they would rather shoot on target than lay it on a plate for him. this is like having 3 rooneys behind van persie. MAZACAR are all goal-scoring threats who can shoot on target in and around 20 yards from goal. ba will not flourish from this set-up, no striker can. chelsea need more selfless workers in that area of the pitch. |
cowgurl: One attitude I can't stand is - outright disrespect. My body automatically reacts to this unfriendly and trust me, if I were a dude - it won't be taken likely.unfortunately, that's the typical attitude of the average nigerian wife. their love/romance is co-joined with the wealth of their husbands. if he's doing well financially, he cannot do any wrong in their eyes(even when he brings home a second wife.....)but let him lose his job and watch the love/romance change into hatred/anger. |
El Guapo: Lol - Coogar, got an idea why i admire ur Reputation on NL? You're the best in circumventing from the real truthin 26 games, de gea would concede 26 goals(at most) if we go by his rate of concession. however, cech has conceded 27 goals in 26 games.....so who is better? |
neville's brilliant analysis on the spurs game....this is top punditry at it's very best! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKm85q3t6bQ watch this before sky removes it. either side could have won the game but ramsey, wilshere and cazorla were wasteful with their throughballs. both sides defended in a similar version but spurs were more incisive and more intricate. |
sephia: Educate me, that's why you are Mr. Stats. Let us deduct those converted then we will know which was from set play and open play. You guys are playing the Torres assist too much. Assist doesn't stop one from scoring.it does if he's not taking set plays. any tool can hoof a corner into the box, with a teammate heading it into the net. torres does none of these things, he doesn't even take penalties bar one he took when lampard was not in the team and yet we expect him to match van persie, messi, suarez, ronaldo and falcao. |
sephia: B.S. Show the stats let's see how many set pieces by the duo that was converted to goals, it's not enough to tell me they take set piece for their teams, show us the conversion rate from those set pieces. Until then, i will assume all assist were from open play.don't disgrace yourself o - do you know the number of van persie's corners evra and evans have scored from this season? |
sephia: Torres has 8 assist like it's a big deal. That isn't enough excuse for him not to score goals. Our friend RVP has 12 assist yet has 19 goals, same goes with Suarez, 8 assist and 22 goals. These are the main strikers for their team, same as the dud.suarez and rvp take set plays(corners, direct/indirect freekicks), 90% of their assists from set plays. nando torres copped those 8 assists from open play. can you now see the difference or should we break your head and put football analysis in your brain before sewing it up? why should a striker assist 8 goals from open play? why why why? |
El Guapo: I Really cant help but laugh at ur Posts at times coogar.this guapo is a funny guy..... cech and hart have played 6-8 more league games than de gea - does it not occur to you then that they would have made more saves in those 6-8 games than de gea? where is the common sense these days? hart - 28 games - 253 saves(9 saves per game) cech - 26 games - 293 saves(11 saves per game) de gea - 20 games - 245 saves(12 saves per game) can you not see de gea is miles ahead of these "has-beens"? then the question of lindegaard is amusing - united have a big squad, everyone suffers rotation. when van der sar was here, he was rotated! in the season we won the league and destroyed chelsea in the final of the champions league, van der sar made only 29 league appearances. de gea has made 20 out of 28......that now means he's not good? we have provided stats that put de gea ahead of any of his peers.....computed stats per games not just raw stats!!! what you have provided is inaccurate in terms of performance. so go back to bed, guapo!!!! where is petr cech going? to the supermarket? https://i.minus.com/iK5CVsGIAvnEf.gif |
El Guapo: guapo the mexican, i hate to be the bearer of bad news but drogba did not flourish in 6 out of the 8 seasons he spent at chelsea. in other words, no striker has actually really done well at chelsea. drogba's league goals at chelsea 04/05 10 hit or flop? 05/06 12 hit or flop? 06/07 20 golden boot 07/08 8 hit or flop? 08/09 5 hit or flop? 09/10 29 HIT 10/11 11 hit or flop? 11/12 5 hit or flop? so where is this myth coming from that drogba flourished at chelsea? |
Fabville: @ Coogar That is another stat from another site to corroborate Opta.elampiro would still tell you he cannot understand the table. it's amazing how people cannot understand statistics are facts but they go with public opinion and they stick by it! i follow opta to the tee.....and many of the things the media tell us are just lies when you check opta and see things the way they are. |
elampiro: If you had said in the beginning that because he is 22 we should overlook so many things, I wouldn't have argued. But you said he is the best- ahead of Hart and Cech. That I disagree. If I am the manager of a team, I can't pick De Gea ahead of these guys for any reason. Just imagine having the option to pick one of them for a UCL final against Bayern Munich.overlook what? what are you yapping about? you said de gea has fallen below expectation until last month - i brought up his age to tackle the phrase "fallen below expectation" his age has nothing to do with his performance. cech was 23 when he was a beast in the premier league in 2004/5 season. what has age gotta do with it? this season, de gea has been ahead of hart and cech! if they step up their performance later this season or next season then we can have another argument but as things stand, i would have de gea in my starting 11 in a champions league final before cech and hart. |
elampiro: Goodnight!about time! i am sure you have learnt one or two things you never knew before today. never ever quote any newspaper to form your opinion on the performance of any player - they can be misleading. look for stats, not alan hansen! |
elampiro: The mirror and telegraph are some of the best papers in the world. What is their gain in criticizing De Gea in their post match report. Two independent papers. They also have corroborated some of us based on what we saw in same matches. I didn't use their report as my judgement, rather to buttress my points.they gain a lot because de gea plays for man utd - the biggest football institution in the world. the #1 goalie of man utd is not british - so the criticism won't hurt their national pride so he's an easy target. it's baffling you are struggling with the difference between facts and opinions. mirror or any newsmedia cannot tell me what i need to know about the performance of any player. i have been on this planet enough to know the british media have hidden agenda for easy targets. try and look for statistical sites cos stats are facts not opinion. De Gea may have saved a few long rage shots, but generally he has fallen below expectation until the last month. Take it or leave it.fallen below expectation at 22? tending the goal for the biggest club on the planet? you make me laugh! even after showing you stats that put de gea ahead of hart, you are still arguing. how can you be helped? |
Ibime: What's worse is this foolish ninja joining issues with a well known jobless waste of a human being with mental health issues like Coogar.you are a tool! your adipose cells must have clogged your nervous system. this is what happens when a man eats too much doughnut and his though process decelerates. explain to us why lampard from a deep position has not assisted a league goal all season? Please we don't want Coogar displaying his madness on our thread no more. Keep quiet and let the ninja go away.so coogar is mad and ibime is fat! which of us is likely to survive a tsunami. by the time you gather your thoughts to flee, the water current would catch up with you and drown you. like i told you, the only thing you would beat me at is a wet t-shirt contest. ibime, go to the gym and reduce your weight. you need a man brassiere. Meanwhile enjoy this collection from the greatest assister in Chelsea history. You will notice that half of his assists are what some nincompoops term "vertical passes"and yet the idiocy in him rear it's head again........ we don't care about lampard's antecedents. tell us why he has no league assist this term while playing in the same position as ramirez, carrick, cleverley, allen, anderson, etc? oloshious fellow - all he knows is eat doughnuts and fart off the remaining intelligence in his obese body. |
