i no Agree with u ooo
i beg take a poll, how many naija guys will respect a girl dat sleeps with them on a first date,
the result will surprise u.

even being wet during se-x , or initiating or asking for a particular style will get u tagged as spoilt, lets not
even go into a girl asking for oral stimulation down below, that will make her a destiny killer cheesy cheesy
only bush men think this way....
when i was a teen, the chic that resisted my advances more is getting her heart broken. it always play on my mind to retaliate.

however, the chics who keep it straight to the point get my respect. why play games? you either like a guy or not. there cannot be in-betweens.

as for sex on the first date, it depends. if the couple have been talking for months over the phone then it's very normal for them to have sex on their first date cos there must have been build-ups like sassy chats, sexting, etc.

Lol i will never forget that tackle. I was supporting Argentina because of beef from Maroc 88. That tackle was hip level!
the way the defender's boot flew in the air when he tackled cannigia was funny as hell. argentina woulda certainly scored with that counter attack - massing had to sacrifice himself to preserve cameroon's lead.

as much as maradona dazzled the world in 86, i still think he had a better performance in italia 90. he was more mature & he ran that midfield like a boss! na ojoro germany take win them for final.

Just a season before They won the league with Juventus, Canavaro was world cup, Ballon D or and WPOTY winner going to Madrid.

Italian league is basically a league for defenders. That was why Taribo excelled. You need to see the way Taribo was hailed for his brutal assault on Kanchelskis where they had to stretch the victim away from the field covered in blanket yet Taribo didnt get a red

How do you think Montero would have survived in any decent league? Looking at this face alone Shawcross would run away

Paramatti would be very much at home being the hitman of a mob

Italy have the best defenders because they play in a formation that allows them sit deep and defend in numbers.

Italy was the first team I saw where the 8 and the 10 is played by one person (trequartista) Baggio/Del pierro/Totti with one sharp poacher the others were basically water carriers aka eru Iku

When I used to watch Serie A and Juventus would say Di Livio is their right winger. What is winger about Angelo Di Livio? Or Birindelli as Left winger?

Imagine a lineup of Ferrara--Montero--Iuliano--Pessoto. Midfield Tacchinardi--Di Livio--Conte-- Deschamps Thats like 7 pure defenders /defensive players. They would now just shunt Zidane DelPieroand Inzaghi somewhere in attack. All their games would end 1-0.

That time they frustrated Ronaldo and Inter Milan die

Look at Lucio a finished defender went to play in that formation and with other finished defenders like Samuel and Chivu looked decent in the formation

You want to know what happened to Cannvaro, Zambrotta, Thuram when they ventured into La Liga? they were torn to shreds in the Spanish High line
it could be argued they went to la liga to collect pension. in their prime, they would have put up a better fight in la liga. i never rated zambrotta though but thuram/camnavaro were excellent defenders in their prime!

thuram was past his peak at barca, he was about 34 when he joined barca. what could he possibly contribute at that age? fabio cannavaro was also about 33 when he joined madrid. you cannot beat the italians when it comes to defending & team organisation. they deserve their credits abeg

Peep this
catenaccio - very horrible tactical move. i sometimes meet gamers who park the bus from the blast of the whistle till the end once they see my team.

guess what? they often win 1-0.
they block all the routes, come at you with high pressure once you approach the box. then one little chance they get is a cross from the touchline & their striker is in the box to head it home.

the moment they lead 1-0, just forget it.

I am sure Dayo would give it to Thomas Berthold, Sammer, and Jens Nowotny cheesy
i remember scirea!
he partnered gentile in 82. gentile was the bulldog, scirea was the calming influence that you won't even notice on the pitch but he was super-effective. i agree with you, he is a legend in the 80s. there's no way gentile's gamesmanship should be rated over scirea who kept things neat & ticking.

Hahaha! Where's Coogar? I'd like to know his take on this cheesy
sex on the first date doesn't make her look cheap. it just means the chemistry is on point. a lot of variable factors have to align together for such to happen anyways - and when it does the man should consider himself lucky.

i like confident women who go after what they want unlike the pretenders who would rather play games. a girl that gave sex on the first date but remained faithful to her man is better than the girl that withheld sex for months while cheating with several guys on facebook!

It depends on which era you are looking at.
Strictly 90s you have to leave out Gentile. Desailly,Kohler and Nesta and Stam are probably 2nd tier for the 90s below Sammer and Baresi who are the 2 indisputables for that era.
what about costacurta? grin

Sammer was very very good no doubt, but he got his injury at 30 not like Fat Ronaldo who was cut down in his prime.
Of the central defenders i saw play live i rate Baresi and Sammer above others not just for the way the marked their man but the way they organized the defence. Kohler, Bergomi, Dessailly, Nesta and Maldini get honorable mention.
sammer won 2 league titles for dortmund & then won the champions league the 3rd year. he went to euro 96 & won the competition becoming the player of the tournament - i think he won a ballon d'or that year too, the first defender to do so since beckenbauer.

my list would be.....
•matthias sammer
•claudio gentile
•paulo maldini
•franco baresi

desailly, nesta, kohler are 3rd tier abeg.

littbarski is like podolski-he's mediocre
i would even put fischer ahead of littbarski in that west germany era. their best player then was their goalie(schumacer) and maybe paul breitner.

Fachetti and Beckenbauer slide first think later?
There is no single defender in the world now as elegant as Beckenbauer. NONE
When you see Rio Ferdinand, Mattias Sammer, Fernando Hierro.....you are seeing copycats of Beckenbauer. only he was much better at toughness, elegance, reading the game.
i actually think sammer is better than beckenbauer. his injury denied us one of the finest defenders you would ever see. sammer is the truth. he owned everything in the box.

go and watch 1966 world cup against portugal. watch 70 world cup against uruguay. pele was nearly murdered in those games. back then, a player couldn't be substituted so you must carry on.

abeg, forget messi!
he's not in the same league as maradona & pele or even the fat ronaldo that won ballon d'or at the age of 20. these ones did it for club & country. it didn't matter who they have in their team.....they always delivered.

maradona actually played with sticks. maradona chose to play for napoli, not the other way round. big clubs begged for his signature but he chose a lower tier team & he proved his worth there. it's easy to win trophies when you play for a big team.

compare oshea's league titles to gerrard. in the near future, someone would opine o'shea is better than gerrard cos oshea won more league titles. abeg, what maradona did in 86 is unrivalled. he was the heartbeat of that argentine team - he provided 5 goals + 5 assists in the number 10 position.

I think you should show them video clips of Ron "Chopper" Harris and Norman "Bite yer legs" Hunter from the 60s.
While it is true that team defending has improved, individual defending has worsened especially over the last decade and almost all forms of tough tackling have been outlawed.
Messi would have had a career ending injury at age 21 if he had played in the 60s, football and footballers are so much softer now.
The Battles of Berne,Santiago e.t.c tell us that
all forms of tackling have been removed from the game. pulling an opponent's shirt is a yellow card these days while gentile tore maradona's shirt into pieces in 82 without getting carded.

van basten had to retire prematurely because of injuries. footballers these days are in paradise. messi wouldn't have survived in 50s/60s. the gh-therapy he had as a kid so that his bones could develop wasn't in exist de in the 60s. messi would have been a midget like aki & pawpaw had he been born in the 60s

you are calling Maldini a defender of old? Maldini didn't play during Pele's time.

& no- I don't think Zico is better than Messi.
Messi has faced tougher oppositions & plays in an era of football where the stakes, physicality &, technicality are at it's apex.

I strongly doubt Pele would have been as clinical in front of goal if he played in this era.
if he played in the premiership, serie A or laliga
playing football now would have been easy for pele. medical technology has greatly improved. doctors now see injuries far away before they even come. special diets & advanced work out plans are now parts & parcel of football to keep players in tip-top shape.

& there are Manx defenders of today that can't match & even beat the so-called defenders of old.. •Thiago Silva,Kompany amongst others ✘

winning the world cup @17 is better than all those awards you listed. pele/maradona didn't win ballon d'or because only european players could win the award until 1995 when the rules were changed.

if underachievers like messi, george best, matthew stanley, etc could win ballon d'or, you think legends like pele/maradona wouldn't have won it about 12 times each? come on - messi is nowhere as good as pele.

he's already a greater legend than Pele & Maradonna.

he can still play in 2 world cups before retirement.
don't be in a haste. ✘
messi has to win the world cup to be mentioned in the same category as pele & maradona. it's becoming embarrassing for him that he cannot win a spoon if xavi or iniesta isn't in the team. maybe argentina should adopt xavi & iniesta or they should change their national team shirt to that of barcelona.

pele is greater than messi....
people talking about the level of footie in pele's time. it was more difficult then than now. there was no player substitution when pele played & a career-ending tackle from behind was perfectly legal.

would messi survive in the 60s/70s when pele played? i doubt it. today's footballers are too soft to cope with what footballers of yore faced. the only world cup pele failed to win was in 1966 & portugal came out all to injure him in the game. the tackles are on youtube....if such is attempted these days, the offender would go to prison!

i want a natural fullback.
any fullback we buy is going to replace valencia. the only reason we would buy a fullback in the first place is because LVG does not quite trust valencia in that role. we won't buy a top tier fullback to come & sit on the bench for valencia.

Everyone says Valencia is not a natural full back, and an upgrade is needed.

Manyoo has been linked to Clyne and Coleman.

Using the very criteria you posted....Valencia is better than both!

So who's next?

Lets look at Ivanovic who was clearly the best RB in the league last year....guess what? Valencia wins again!

How about Pablo Zabaleta? Valencia murders him too.

Dont believe me? Click this opata link below

So where do we go from here?
that is why we are interested in ramos & not the idïots parading themselves as full backs in the premier league. if rafael is fit, he's easily the best RB in the league. however, his fitness & injury curse is a let down.
