@ 4uller the problem is DEFINITELY money.

Yes Wenger might appear to be losing his touch, but I don’t think any other manager bar Sir Alex can get as much out of the bunch of players we have at the moment. Wenger has flaws but was not crazy when he said losing Nasri and Cesc would make us unable to compete.

Clubs attempt to improve their squads year on year, to my mind we’ve only strengthened our squad year on year once or twice in 7 years. You can’t do that and expect success.
i don't believe money is the reason arsenal are where they are @ the moment. . . .wenger still spent £53m in the summer.
my arithmetic tells me he could have brought in demba ba, brad friedel, ryan shawcross, scott parker, robert huth, scott sinclair, ben arfa, yohan cabaye, cheihk tiote, etc in the last 12 months.

no one is asking wenger to spend £300m like man city - but he has obviously misspent the little he's got.
it's a travesty that alan pardew buys quality french players than arsene wenger these days. what is wrong with le prof?
money wasn't the reason arsenal lost to birmingam in the cup final last year. had arsenal won that trophy, the pressure on the players would have eased.

Leave the hypocrite jare.
He likes proving he's smart but exposes his idiocy with lousy, village-square analysis type of statements.
The same Arsenal are several points below United on the league table, and have been beaten twice already by United,Conceeding ten goals to the same side he claims they have done better than this season.
Please ignore the ninny.
debsoky is just trying to save a wrecked boat - cut him some slack!

his claim that arsenal went a round further in this competition is valid but i doubt arsenal made more money than united even with that.
united were involved in 2 ties of the competition. against liverpool and against man city.
united would have made more money featuring in those ties than whatever arsenal would have made because of the image rights involved in the number of tv channels the fa would have sold those matches too local/foreign.

I wonder if Dudu's 0.99999 (according to 4uller) share holding has appreciated on the back of this result.

As for those saying 'starting Ox would've changed things and benching Walcott would've changed things' I hope y'all have gotten what you wanted today. grin

Again Vermaelen was abysmal today - Larsson outran him despite TV having a head start to shoot leading to the second goal. If it was Denilson or someone else, folk here would be calling for him to be sold.

Y'all saying 8 years without a trophy are jokers - according to Wenger, CL qualification is a trophy so in essence Arsenal has not been without a trophy for 15 years running.

Very soon Dudu will tell us running a club sustainably is a trophy (also called 'target' by Dudu grin) so we've been winning trophies continuously for even longer.
In fact, every season we've been in the CL and been 'sustainable' have been double winning years.
grin grin
dudu's hexagonal-shaped head is the reason he speaks like a troglodyte.
running a club sustainably is a trophy? on which planet?

it's even a shame these days as alan pardew gets better french players on bargain than arsene wenger.

Honest mistake, Yet they cant make another "honest mistake" for Nasri

Headline misleading?
very misleading.
your link says arsenal are receiving £15m in one fell swoop. . .the initial payment is £15m.

Those stoopid links you posted there, what exactly do they prove?
they prove arsenal paid £15.8m for samir nasri.
unless you are a dork, £15.8m is much higher than £15m that you claim is a record transfer for the gooners.

i doubt u have ever made £800,000(the difference between the fees paid for nasri and arshavin) since you started working 20 yrs ago.

The link you gave us says Reyes was for 13m
http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premiership-transfers/arsenal-transfers.html
it could be a honest mistake from the website and it could also be because the deal was renegotiated.
the fee could be up to £17m depending on add-ons, appearances, etc and arsenal only won the fa cup and the community shield after reyes joined.
but the original deal was £17m which arsenal had agreed to pay. it's up to different media to choose which one to pen down.

some media would tell you walcott was worth £12m but arsenal eventually paid £10.5m for him cos his deal got renegotiated later.
