charlesemeka85: you are sick for recommending the likes of siasia and co. what tangible have this so called ex international masqurading as coaches achieved when the chance was given to them? why are they so lazy to get others jobs rather than sit back around the corner and praying that the coach of the super eagles will be sacked for them to gain a chance of getting the job. why are they so lazy or inept to seek for jobs outside the shores of nigerian or take up a club from our local league to tinker? i said this before and will continue to say it, the worst mistake the nff will make is handing the responsibility of the eagles coaching job to any indigenous coach. . Rohr is an idiot. Making 2 substitutions in 90 minutes. Is he mad!!!!? What did he expect the boys to do? Magic? Whatthafuck? His sack letter awaits him. I'm boiling right now. Argentina didn't even play anything. How can you defend for 90 minutes? God!!! It's obvious that Ighalo just played his last match for Nigeria. See how Rohr just spoilt these boys for us. |

somehow: For some wishing them to win. If they beat us with less than 3 goals margin and Iceland beat croatia with just 1 goal, we will both lose out from second place. So it doesnt make sense praying your country lose because of 1 player.
Infact such person might not progress in Nigeria for betraying the country he or she makes his or her living from. . . It's not even up for debate. We will beat them 2mao. Messi can score after it's 5:0 in the 91st minute |

TSOM: I understand your positions and I'd criticize me too for feeling that way if I wasn't one already.
I suppose for most Messi fans, the irrationality is born out of the need to see him have one (or many, even) over Ronaldo and cementing his place as the "G.O.A.T" as we call him.
What we actually mean is, while we love the Super Eagles and would want to see us win the game, we'd rather Messi (Argentina) benefits from our loss (if we lose) than any other team/player.
Of course, there are exceptions to my sweeping generalization about Barça fans supporting Messi tomorrow - they are always exceptions to any such rule or assertion, you two being examples. But MOST Nigerian Barça fans want Messi to progress to the next stage, even if it's at our expense, sadly.
All you need do is search out posts by Nigerian 'Messi fans' on social media platforms (Twitter, especially) and the interactions with them/us off the internet.
Again, it's an oddly irrational loyalty. We all know this. . I'd love to say I don't understand you but then again,I'd be lying. The only thing I can wish for Messi 2mao is a goal but then again, that WON'T HAPPEN. One thing you should know is : RONALDO WON'T WIN THE WC. Hopefully that calms you down. To me,Messi has nothing to prove. He's undoubtedly the best player alive. Abeg he should go and rest. I'll feel bad for him 2mao but at the same time I'll be filled with overflowing joy cos of our win. Such contrasting feelings . What can I say? That's the cross I gotta bear as a fan of both. |

TheLoneCitizen: I put Kane immediately behind, then Salah, then Vardy, then Costa, then Sturridge and the list goes on... . Nawa for you oo. Sturridge wouldn't even make my top 5. I'll still pick a Costa over an Aguero anytime. |

andrew444: Kane and lukaku is no where near aguero unless you started watching ball yesterday.
Sergio aguero has been a consistent player for the past 9 years from his ATM days . U're free to believe what you want my brother but I do not agree that Aguero is the most lethal striker presently. It's not possible. |

TSOM: He's not alone. Most Nigerian Barça fans want Messi (Argentina) to win; to win every international competition, even if it's against us.
It's probably unpatriotic but we can't even explain away the irrationality. Only Barça fans understand why we are that fanatical.
It is wrong but it feels so right. . Bros,I am a die hard Messi/Barca fan. In fact I wished for Naija and Argentina to qualify but unfortunately it won't happen cos one of us has to leave 2mao and it definitely won't be Nigeria. I seriously love Messi but he gotta go mehn. My country comes first. It's either kill or be killed and he definitely won't hesitate to score us so why should I be sympathetic towards him? They shot themselves in the foot by not winning their initial games and unfortunately for them, they'll have to rely on us to lose this game. But it won't happen. Nah. We have a huge bone to pick with them and tomorrow we'll attack them with so much anger and precision for the hurt they've caused us in the past years. We'll save compassion for later. TheLoneCitizen: My biggest fear is Aguero, big game player, most lethal striker in the world and very hard to mark. Scores from outside the box and a incredible poacher when necessary. Scores with feet and although short, is a brilliant header.
I just hope he has truly fallen out with Sampaoli. . Wrong. Then where do you put Kane and Lukaku? |

realpoacher: I screamed with joy when we scored
But i am not impressed one bit
We posted a very shabby performance
This was a one man show... Musa!!
Other players were non existent... I bet my left balls that if Ighalo had started we won't had scored a single goal.
SMH!!
Just look at how he killed our 3rd goal
After we scored we became too sluggish for my liking
It was like we took our feet off the pedal
For Argentina match... I intend to see Iwobi starting in place of Etebo... Yes, Etebo should sit on the bench
Etebo killed many of out attacking moves... Iwobi will do better in his place
WTF!! Is the reason behind Rohr and late changes? . Not impressed one bit? Bros, watch the match again |
