Ayinke93: My evaluation with WES was finally completed today. It's been a long ride since June last year. My school, Yabatech really took their time. From initially sending the transcripts, to sending certificates to verification, it felt like it wasn't going to end. I actually passed IELTS since November and would have gotten ITA since, but here am I. My advice to any ex Yabatech student trying to send their transcripts is to use ETX. I know they'll tell you they don't send transcripts via email just send to ETX physical address so you don't go through all I had to. Made a personal decision to celebrate every milestone on this journey. Step two down, looking forward to the rest. May it be easy for us all. Congratulations Ayinke! We started evaluation about the same time. I also went to Yabatech and used etx.ng for my electronic transcripts delivery which Yabatech obliged and delivered very quuckly. My verification didn't give me much trouble either. I also recently got my evaluation report too, February 17, no thanks to NOUN for the delay. However, you are 2 steps ahead of me. I hv been procrastinating on writing ielts but i will be done with that stage soon. Congrats once more! |

yungryce: Also picked up my passport today. P.S, when you go to pick up your passport and they seem to be taking forever, go back to inform the servicom lady. She will help out Thanks for the tips. Will be picking mine up sometime this week. Kudos to the NIS. Nigeria can get better if other Government parastatals (i.e FRSC and co) are checked like this. PS: Servicom hotlines for tracking the passport progress.

solelymade: Brother, how far you don collect bah. I just took courage to DIY today, submitted my application, pay 25.5k in Gtbank, payment was confirmed within 3minutes and scheduled for capturing on the 7th January. I pray the whole process be hassle free as shared by the good people here. Between all NIS officers are claiming they can't deliver 32pages in reasonable time, not sure the reason for this. Somehow that scares me that the booklet might be scarce. No, i have not collected it. I just got a text from servicom this afternoon that my passport is ready for collection. Total duration is 14days, perhaps due to the festive period. |

yungryce: My Ikoyi Passport experience
I made sure i had all the required documents and made payment online before embarking on my journey. I applied online on the 29th of November and my interview was fixed for 9th of December. Tried rescheduling the date online but the website was not cooperating so i was stuck with the date. I got to ikoyi passport office around 10am. went straight to the court office within the compound and stamped my guarantors form. headed to servicom and was directed to a lady on the last cubicle (cant remember the unit). She went through my documents and gave me a new document to photocopy and fill. found my way out of the compound to do photocopy (this cost N50/page ). Came back with the filled form and a white file folder (as i was told here to buy) and she flung the file away. She brought out the "Federal Republic of Nigeria, Nigeria Immigration Service" file and put my documents in them and then she duly signed and directed me to another servicom desk where the lady also penned her signature where necessary and then sent me on my way to start verification. Here, there are long cubicles with NIS officers behind the cubicle glasses. At the first attendant, there was just one NIS errand girl in front of me with a "white file" but before i could blink, there were upto 10 files that has been pushed to the NIS attendant from different errand officers through a hole on the glass. I also slid my file through the hole and got the shock of my life. The NIS officer dumped all the white files and attended to my file and gave it back to me.
I went through the stages without any issues until the last stage where the attendant requested i add the guarantor's valid i.d. I called my guarantor who sent me a picture of his drivers licence. I printed and attached to my file and returned the file which was duly endorsed. At each stage, i was questioned on my how i know the guatantor, if you can confirm this if called, why we bear same names(coincidence durh ) and so on but i was ready for them.
I was directed to the capture room where i gave my file to another attendant and took a seat on the seat queue. I also got another shocker here as people without files i.e people who joined the queue while their errand officers did their verification for them were sent out of the capture room to wait outside.. It got to my turn, i did my capture and returned the file to the servicom desk. In and out was not up to 3 hours.
Now waiting on my brand new official ePassport.
Worthy of note is that we were very few with the NIS file (i counted a total of 3) and we all got premium treatment. We have all gotten used to doing things the wrong way that doing it the right way now seems foreign to us. I didn't pay an extra dime nor did anyone request. process was actually faster for the NIS file holders and above all, since i entered all my details myself online, my data would actually be correct Thanks. Followed these steps today and did capturing successfully. Got to Ikoyi Office at 9:27, finished capturing and submitted back to servicom at 11:30. Just two brown folders in the capturing room, the rest were all white. |

Regardless of what issues you are facing right now, Lionlee, you are simply the best. This has been observed and proven beyond reasonable doubt.
Your customer relations is excellent and at the very best, you recognize that your clients/customers are kings in this business. And you don't treat them less.
Unlike one who reeks of arrogance both in action and in words. Feels he is above his customers and doing them a big favour "called my shipper five times in 45mnts......" who cares/ asked?
Lionlee, you deserve plenty of accolades and encouragement you can get and trust me, your prospective clients/partners home and abroad(California inclusive) are waiting to discover you. Just don't stop bringing your A game to the business.
You simply will go far and the sky is your starting point.
Cheers. |

I don't know why "coolbatty" keeps popping up on the thread.
As a matter of fact, i got to see the mentions because i currently need Payoneer funds which made me log in and visit this thread.
I understand my moniker is a bit old and not too active so, i see the cause of the impersonations.
I recently contacted various monikers yesterday for a little Payoneer fund (taiwoyusuf 2015, Nkhay, Spik007, Elogic, Hayfloze). Yes, that's the real Coolbatty.
And i have done transactions with most of these ppl severally, including Onatisi.
Please, if you are dealing with coolbatty, be sure you are dealing with the real one.
This is a Disclaimer.
NB: I need $50 payoneer fund, Urgently. **Clean funds Only** Reach me on 08168907638. If i don't know you, i'm not paying first. Thank you. |

You are doing a great job, Cosmic James. Nothing beats being humble and straightforward. Just keep being that.
Unlike sum1 i met here who feels he knows it all and thinks he is a guru. I met this person here early march last year and we spoke and exchanged ideas at length for about 2 to 3months. I had my stripe account setup and willingly showed him exactly how i did it, with a blueprint of my information. All this i did with an open heart for free not feeling like a boss or a guru.
Guess what? He started feeling like a god who knows all things and everything forgetting that no man knows it all, where one's knowledge ends, is where sum1 else's begins.
The next time i spoke to him was in November and he asked for ID. Really?.... After re-introducing myself, he claims not to recall.
Moral: *Nobody knows it all, guys. *And the sky is big enough for all the birds to fly and soar in. (You can't make sum1 else's money with yours.) *Learn and be a blessing unto others. *Be HUMBLE.
Special thanks to Frankodey1, who gave the very first wealth of useful information on this thread not minding who might be gaining from it. |

No one knows it all, but i think you should have asked the person you were chatting with to quote you with the "Coolbatty" username right here, when you were not so sure about him/her. Once again, i am Coolbatty, i am barely active on Nairaland and as far as i know, I AM LEGIT. It doesn't matter if you send first or you send last. I believe few ppl can attest to it here. Here's a screenshot of our not too long ago chat... Guys should just be careful when dealing with people. We could do legit and still make it Big. After asking about his number being on the scammed list, the guy just logged off with speed. Tsk tsk tsk.....people sef After seeing this.... rhames: It took me more than 20 years to build that business but not without so much failures to learn from. I lost N7 million plus in the 2008 stock market manly to bank shares and instead of liquidating it, i kept it there until my stockbroker advised that I should liquidate them which fetched me just above N3 million. He further instructed that I should buy Nestle PLC shares at N105 then. I sold some when it got to N2000 per share and expanded my business seven years ago.
Nestle shares for me now is a lifelong investment that i intend to leave for my kids not liquidating them. Thats the kind of vision one should have.
My take is research extensively on any investment before making a final decision. Beautiful! I had to log in to like and comment on this. Nobody ever got rich through savings alone. Looking at the dangotes and the otedolas... They all made investments which paid off. They didn't become rich from putting their money in the banks and letting it sleep there. Op forgot that you learn when you make investments which further shapes your decision making and investment skills but you never learn a thing when you put your money in the bank. Sorry Op, but you are preaching the mindset of an employee which is less of what we need in our country. Putting your money to create business while becoming an employer of labor is also investing. |
