Are we suppose to pay any fee for a commodity purchase with a FREESHIPPING tag? Often times NIPOST Staff have requested we pay a fee ranging from N200 and above for items on pick up and like someone claimed on another thread, item posted via EMS that were supposed to be delivered to the listed address are not as the staff device means to make you come over so that they can be at advantage to charge you a fee or out rightly beg you to part with something.......This issue has stared man of us in the face but the joy even getting your commodity from NIPOST cloud our sense of judgement.

i will appreciate our diverse opinion of this salient issue as i will like to confront NIPOST Staff with the facts when next i visit. I was charged N200 on an item weighing 0.15kg as custom fee.......i'm sure many of us has similar experience too but in some of their offices, they claim it is handling fees, in other they claim it is custom fee......these irregularity alone is disturbing to say the least.

Compliments of the season to all Nairalander!

Its funny the gimmick that EMS plays this days, its a confirmed observation that corruption is really under the skin of nipost workers, whenever my package arrives they will put on the tracking details that i requested pick up, instead of delivery. The say something like this" Your item could not be delivered on June 6, 2013 at 7:30 am in NIGERIA due to the addressee requesting pick up. It is being held while the addressee is notified." Then they would send a message and when you arrive the charge you money which is for their self.

* they save money meant for distribution.
* the fabricate messages claiming the recipient asked the parcel be picked up for them while they never attempted a delivery.
* the whole reason they asked you to pick ur parcel, is so they have the full advantage of charging and extorting you.
* they gain twice, 1.approved distribution cost embezzeled, 2.extort naïve citizen.

i have been a victim and every attempt to lodge complaint only revealed more bad egg with the system.....i tried to email NIPOST headoffice but it bounced.....what do we do about this?

Denigma:
You can order goods weighing between 2kg and 30kg into Nigeria without any charge from NIPOST. 30 kg is maximum limit allowed. China Post or any other courier services sending through free shipping will not send parcels that is above 30kg through free shipping to NIPOST. And NIPOST charge N500 for parcels that are 1kg and below. If you pay the N500, request for the official receipt.

pls do i have to pay custom charges to NIPOST on a 0.15kg (Sunglass) i bought with Freeshipping? They insist i pay N200 before i could claim it....i smell foul play but i don't the truth. Thanks

ANYBODY?

I used the introductory part of this as a refresher of knowledge....part of the bane of Geoscience study in Nigeria is that most of this application are just taught as abstract while in school.....we lack the tools to make the study a memorable one.......the English has done stuff like this in Nigeria even before we got our independence. America leading the way in Geoscience because of their investment in education. we should be buying more of this technology not only the ammunition to fight book haram.....it is high time we declare a state of emergency in Geoscience and other sector of our educational system

is it brand new or fairly used?

it's high time we go solar all across the nation especially in states that enjoy sunlight for about 7 hours a day......it will make much sense if we start producing all the components in Nigeria to drive down the cost. sadly people will wait till Dangote finds this a worthy investment before locking their fingers again......just think of how many people will gladly trade this for their noise making generator.........

i'm interested in the capital outlay for the project... especially the number of battery used and their amount of power generated on the average per day. Never knew their inverter as high as 20kw......I feel like a champion with my.........
