Babatunde Olatunji.....KNOW YOUR HERO.......Michael Babatunde Olatunji, born in Lagos, went to United States in 1950. He was the pioneering African Act who introduced our music to the world. He was part of the civil right movement and marched alongside Rev Martin Luther King, had musical collaborations host of household names like Quincy Jones, Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder and even shared the stage with Bob Marley, Patti LaBelle! His first album in 1960, 'Drums of Passion' is is unquestionably the first recording to popularize African music in the west, becoming immensely successful and selling over five million copies. In 2002, it was released as a single layer stereo and SACD by Columbia Records. In 2004 the album was added to the American National Recording Registry. Sadly there has been not many mention of him here in Nigeria or Africa as a whole movement and marched alongside Rev Martin Luther King, had musical collaborations host of household names like Quincy Jones, Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder and even shared the stage with Bob Marley, Patti LaBelle! His first album 'Drums of Passion' became a major hit and remains in print; it introduced many Americans to world music. Drums of Passion also served as the band's name.

Music is the food of the soul! @admin take a look....his music are timeless and very engaging, he has some very simple songs that are easy to learn for non-native and lots of African drum only tracks.

Your government will be borrowing and mortgaging your future for the next foreseeable future and probably borrow more from China and give them Apapa Port. We have failed to plan or save our excess crude money and now it is time to suffer the consequences. angry sad i read somewhere that the radiation from 5G and other lower 4G, 3G, and 2G are all micro waves which are of the lower end of radio waves whereas the rays that hit us from the sun is of ultraviolet rays which are of higher radiation meaning that the sun ray is many times over more dangerous than 5G can ever be but IMO 5G is more than conspiracy theory and I will recommend more research and openness about anomalies surrounding its roll out.

Nigeria continues to prove to be a jungle for only the meanest to survive.

This is really painful even though your friend may be paying the price for some of sharp practices but i don't believe the boss has all these rights he is exercising because of financial muscle and 'garage fight' to ward off any sort of competition. He needs to prove the young man really stole from him and the right place for that is the court. I hope the right help come quickly for your friend. I can imagine myself in his position, it can really be a daunting situation to be.

I suggest you report to the elders and chairman of landlord associations in the zone. Thank you for fighting for your friend, please don't hesitate to tell as many people as possible in the neighborhood and his coworkers should equally be prepared for face even tougher fight if they only choose to preserve their daily bread by looking away at a critical time like this.

This is why i always stress the fact that it is so hard to be a Nigerian. The intimidation and lawlessness from every corner is enough to push the fainted hearted over the bridge. Our form of justice is almost always barbaric! Why?

Admins, Lalasticlala, Seun please help get this urgent call for help to the right audience. Thanks!

Look at the state of these memorial structures that should jolt our minds to rewriting the wrong of the past.

These are as important as the Aso Rock and National Assembly Building for any nation that is alive to its responsibility.

I recommend this building are privatized or given to the local community to restore and manage to generate tourism derived income.

Similar things that exist in our sister country was the main point of attraction for their Year of Return Tourism Campaign that made it look like all the slaves that left Africa exited from their country. Badagry has something similar to this slave trade past too.

Government at the central cannot take proper care of monuments that is mile away from them. Their income is not even dependent on these monuments. The tourism potential here is enormous!

Nigeria wake up! Government at all level is a charade!

Kiekie grin....character na smoke......ever difficult to hide. Na ur first timers dey suffer am..... If only nairaland has credit rating you would have been in red since 2013 when i had my fair share of your arrogance. I read about the many unfortunate deals many had with you recently.... Leopard cannot change its spot!

That guy has an arrogant way of getting his message across and many people has complained about his personality but he is too far gone to redeem himself. I did check his two monikers and can see a lot of complaint about his person. Customer satisfaction doesn't matter to him on bit.... He is too given to self aggrandisement and will easily drop names of his Co-nairanlander solar emperor to back up his chest beating. It was an appeal to stop flooding everywhere with his long adverts but he has decided to call the bluff of everyone and has carried on with his annoying habits. He has refused to open a thread of his own because of his poor customer relations and the fear of being roasted by those who got their fingers burnt by dealing with him. What a man sow, he shall reap no matter how long

Nairaland is now a fishing ground for criminal and local yahoo yahoo.....we must continue to call them out even though all you said here are words of the mouth.

I will recommend we always put up proof to make the work of the admin here easier. A house cannot be this big without criminal minded folks joining the ranks but we must continue to turn on the heat on them.

Before you patronised anybody on Nairaland, do a diligent search, watch out for previous client and return customer, how dispute was settled, language of communication, testimonies and how long he has been a member.

I will recommend you avoid those who don't have a thread of their own too. They don't want any trace of their present and past activities.
