Business To BusinessTrans-atlantic Wealth: Unlocking Us-nigeria Cross-border Business Opportunities by coolscott(op): 12:39pm On Nov 12, 2025
Why This Thread Matters to You

Imagine a blueprint for business success that spans the Atlantic, blending American innovation with Nigerian dynamism. That's what this thread is all about!

My name is Coolscott, and I'm launching this discussion in the Business to Business section to explore and catalogue **actionable cross-border business ideas and investment opportunities** that exist between Nigeria and the United States.

We know the potential is massive. With the Nigerian diaspora in the U.S. being the largest African diaspora group, and with increasing government focus on areas like the **Digital Economy, Agriculture, and Infrastructure** (as seen in recent US-Nigeria Commercial and Investment Partnerships), the time for theory is over—it's time for practical ideas.

The Challenge and the Opportunity

Doing business between two continents is never simple. It involves navigating different regulatory landscapes, payment systems, logistics, and market demands. But where others see *barriers*, smart entrepreneurs see **massive opportunities** for profit and mutual growth.

From the U.S. perspective: How can American small businesses and tech companies effectively tap into Nigeria's massive, young, and digitally-savvy consumer base? What are the most reliable local partners and market entry strategies?
From the Nigerian perspective: [/b]How can local producers, tech talent, and service providers (e.g., in fintech, creative arts, or agribusiness) leverage the U.S. market's wealth, scale, and access to capital? How do you formalize a remote U.S. company (like an LLC) to access global platforms like Stripe and American venture funding?

We're looking for contributions that move beyond general statements and dive into the specifics!

Share Your Expertise!

This isn't just my thread; it's a collective knowledge-sharing vault for the entire Nairaland business community. We need your insights, experience, and practical knowledge!

Please submit your ideas/contributions focusing on the following areas (or any other promising sector):

1. Digital Economy & Tech: Cross-border remote services (e.g., outsourced Nigerian developers for U.S. firms), EdTech platforms, or strategies for Nigerian startups to attract U.S. VC funding.
2. Agribusiness & Export: Opportunities for Nigerian-processed agricultural products (e.g., high-grade cocoa, cashew nuts, spices) to meet U.S. import standards and market demand.
3. Infrastructure & Renewable Energy: Ideas for U.S. investment/partnerships in Nigeria’s solar power, logistics, or construction sectors.
4. Trade & E-commerce: Best practices for procurement/logistics (importing from the U.S. or exporting from Nigeria) and managing the associated foreign exchange risks.
5. Business Services: Advice on setting up the optimal legal structure (U.S. LLC/C-Corp for Nigerians), cross-border accounting, and finding reputable partners.

What is the single most promising, specific trans-Atlantic business idea you have seen or are currently working on?** Drop your knowledge, your questions, and your network below.

Let's build a resource that genuinely helps Nigerian and American businesses thrive together!

***I look forward to your valuable submissions! Let the cross-border discussion begin.***

I paid for 2 GHL accounts.

The cheapest plan is $97/month, and the mid-tier plan is $297 per month.

I figured that price would be too steep for most Nigerian webmasters to afford, especially if you haven't got that big break yet.

You see, GHL is becoming the market leader when it comes to implementing fantastic AI services for small (and even large) businesses.

The cost of the service (combined with the maltreated and bullied naira) is conspiring to keep go-getting young Nigerians out of this momentous shift in the way business is being done.

Now, I have clients I am making things for in the United States. I need other webmasters and tech people to delegate to.

I would love to give access to a full subaccount to any serious web disign person, especially (but not restricted to) those proficient in Wordpress.

This will allow you to practice and come up to speed with delivering AI-powered services to local and foreign businesses, so that:

1). You can market your skills internationally, and for any new client that you have, we can serve him using a new sub-account I will create for that client. You take 65% of the charged monthly fees, and I keep 35%.

2). As I have clients, I delegate to you, and you execute on the sub-account I create for the client (with my supervision) and I keep 65% of the monthly fee charged, while you keep 35% of the monthly fee charged.

In both scenarios, we are both working together but you are a contract executor.

But first, you have to learn + practice and get familiar with deilivering the most basic and popular services most businesses need and that are being paid for (from within HighLevel bouquet of services).

And that is where your paying N5,000 per month comes in.
You get one full sub-account with all services enabled, to practice with,
and I point you to one of the best free training resources online with which to practice all you can on that account.

Then we get to deliver services together to the world.

I have felt that this is what should be done to Nigerian Judges and justices who subvert justice at election tribunals.

But there should be a way for them to be reconciled back to their people *(if they do what they are able to within their power to correct the wrong they have done. Of course they may not be able to correct it all as their power may be limited after the wrong they have done, but they should be encouraged to do what they can, for eg:

Whistleblow on possible bribe-givers.
Administrative action to undo their wrong.
Publicized sworn affidavit about what they know was wrong about the process they got invloved in.
Public apology

I believe in forgiveness too.
AutosMake We No Lie — Fake Spare Parts Don Spoil Many Cars For Naija by coolscott(op):
You know it's not easy to maintain a higher quality car in Nigeria, especially when spare parts are rampant everywhere.

You try to do the right thing — you service your car, you replace what needs fixing — but every time you buy a “new” part, it's another round of problems.

Here’s the bitter truth:

A good amount of spare parts for sale in local markets are not original.
BusinessYou Dey Use Your Car Or Na Your Car Dey Use You? by coolscott(op): 10:29pm On Apr 07, 2025
My brother, my sister, let’s talk real quick — from one car lover to another.

You buy one fine car wey make sense. You dey maintain am well. But every time you go buy spare parts, wahala go start. Why?

Because almost everywhere you turn in Nigeria these days, na fake, cheap, Chinese parts full ground. And the dealers? Ah! Dem fit swear say the part na “original” — meanwhile, after two weeks, your car go begin misbehave like say e no get home training.

I know wetin you dey go through:

You buy part today, repair am tomorrow.

You dey fear to go mechanic because dem fit spoil wetin no spoil.

Your motor dey chop money pass wetin you dey earn.

And even if you wan buy from the real US OEM websites, dollar wahala don block road — no forex, no PayPal, no way forward.

I feel your pain, fam. I really do.

That’s why I decided to bridge the gap.

I be permanent resident living here in the US, and I know how and where to get authentic, original OEM spare parts directly from trusted sources. No stories, no stress, no trial-and-error. I go help you:

Source the exact part for your specific car model

Buy am in USD (even if you no get forex)

Ship am down to Naija — fast and clean

Collect just an honest fee for the process

No more fear. No more mechanic headaches. No more fake parts wey go scatter your engine or jam your suspension.

If your car means something to you, then make sure wetin you put inside am no be nonsense. Original parts save you money in the long run — and protect your car's value.

📦 Let me help you fix this spare part stress, once and for all.

Please, what visa categories are allowed to do business in America?

I would love to see more Nigerians do business in America. There is so much for the taking here.
It would seem that almost all other people think business ownership when they come in here, but Africans think work.

I understand the reason may be because most Africans that come here, come first to school and from school, the natural progression is to get a job (if you choose to stay).

I may not be correct but I think the only time they can do business (if they choose to) is when they have their green cards, but at this time,
the 9-5 system has already drawn them knee or neck-deep.

One thing the high earners do (and most of them are due to their high education qualifications) is invest in real estate. If they find the right guide, they do well. If they do not, they may or may not do well.

These are my thoughts.

Feel free to chime in.

Good morning, and a happy new week
BusinessImportant To Note When Buying Land In Abuja by coolscott(op):
There is this fear in people's mind that buying a Land in new areas in Abuja is very risky.

The reason they give is that after buying, the government of the day leaves office and another Minister for State is appointed they tend to revoke the documents of these lands that people have paid for giving one excuse or the other irrespective of the document covering the Land.

This happened during the time of El-Rufai and also the man that came after him.

So now, what measures have you put in place avoid this kind of situation? Because a lot of people have lost their land as a result of this kind of situation without compensation.

Properties are approved by FCDA and not an area council are not exposed to that risk.
They are also normally registered in the AGIS records.

For example, properties at lugbe area council are not registered with FCDA or in AGIS.

So, ensure that the property is registered with the FCDA and if possible, also in the AGIS records, and you will be safe with your buy.

See ya!

By the way;

Greetings to everyone...

If you are looking for a reliable and easy way to earn up to $50 BTC on a daily basis; then go here to study through the sensitization writeups:

https://www.nairaland.com/6962164/financial-freedom-enlightenment-financially-free/1#110148351

$50 BTC is about 29,000 Naira.

It is pretty easy to earn hundreds of dollars in Bitcoin with the website provided on the thread, and I'm ready to teach you how to achieve this feat.

This is a Recommendation platform which I strongly recommend (as a digital advertiser) with a lot of proofs compared to platforms that are available to scam you.

I have verified the portal and I've been earning passively with the portal.

You earn BTC in many ways as you will find out when you subscribe to the portal.

One of the easiest way is through Recommendations.

And for those who do not know how to Recommend other people to Subscribe to the Portal, do not worry as I'll teach you for FREE how to use Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Nairaland and Google ads to easily Recommend other people while you ENJOY making money PASSIVELY.

Enjoy.
I don't think it is good to promote these sort of things.

In the end, your relationship with many is likely to get sour.

I have seen people who promote stuff like this hurt their reputation so much so it hurts their income, because they found in hard to sell to people afterwards.
