Chubhie:But is he guilty of what he is being accused of? |
onila:I think you got one you kind of are considering do you are doing your research. Forget about where the person comes from. If the person is good for you accept him. If the person is bad, don't hurt yourself. Save yourself and choose a better God-fearing option for yourself. |
midehi2:Picture in ur profile fine. |
hardywaltz:I believe he doesn't have that certificate. I believe what happened was after getting in on the strength of a note from his principal that "...he will pass" of course he started earning salaries going for course and living like every other man at the time. Remember the kind of respect accorded to even school principals at the time. It became very difficult, being celebrated/admired as a fledgling Nigerian officer to be seen to be laden with a WAEC task (like the other boys in the village). So I believe he just left it and continued being a man. |
MisterGrace:That one made me laugh |
912:He jacked it from thetrentonline and put it on his blog from what I see. The photos are all watermarked with thetrentonline |
saaedlee:There is some publication that seems to indicate that the said Aisha Buhari was just a scamming impersonator. As for Atiku Abubakar, the US govt established that the only reason Senator Jefferson did not give him the bribe (of about $100,000) is that he (Mr. Jefferson) could not reach Mr. Atiku before the VP left the States on the very day he was supposed to give him the bribe. On that count, the jury found Mr. Jefferson not guilty but found him guilty on the other counts. |
texazzpete:Clarification Seen |
Actually, can't we see that if we just lay hands on those exhibits cited in the sentencing (exhibits 36-87) we will see the exact account number the bribe funds were transferred from and we will know exactly who the Aisha Buhari was. These exhibits, I believe, are still hosted on www.justice.gov, the US Department of Justice's site. Now even if we agree that we do not know who the Aisha is, is it not apparent there is only one reason this anti-corruption govt will not take the initiative on arresting and investigating both Dumebi Kachikwu (who is well known) and the Aisha Buhari (who is well known to the bank in which she opened her account)? |
modath:Yes you are right The EFCC investigated him on those allegations raised against him by Ndudi Elumelu his accuser. |
frankyychiji:This is a fact. The marriage to Kema's relation did not work out eventually. Just search for Dumebi Kachikwu on google and see what comes up. He is also brother to Dr. Ibe Kachikwu the NNPC Boss. http://www.societynowng.com/After-Spells-Of-Infamy-Dumebi-Kachikwu-Becomes-Darling-Of-High-Society-As-Respected-Brother-Ibe-Becomes-NNPC-Boss http://www.nigeriafilms.com/news/13047/27/ex-aviation-minister-kema-chikwes-son-in-law-remar.html |
modath:It has also been confirmed he is also the brother of Kachikwu, the NNPC boss. You can check it out yourself |
Bevista:Well, I think the question to ask is how many Aisha Buharis are... i) Within the corridors of Nigerian power, ii) Connected with ruling class figures like Atiku and iii) Have any connection with Mr. Kachikwu The triangle of connections (which includes the appointment of the elder brother of Dumebi Kachikwu as NNPC boss by Buhari) firmly places Aisha Buhari head and shoulders above every other possible. |
mulante:On whose authority is it barred? |
MXrep:I think Dumebi Kachikwu is related to Kema Chikwe through marriage to one of the former Minister's relations |
I was a bit surprised when I viewed the sentencing of a US senator (William Jefferson) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_J._Jefferson implicated in a bribery scandal in which his agreement to bribe our then vice president became revealed. You can still find the sentencing file hosted on the US Department of Justice's site. What was really surprising was the citing of exhibits 36-87 revealing wire transfers from a Nigerian account in the name of Aisha Buhari to the account of ANJ Group LLC, identifying the American senator as the beneficiary. This lends credit to the allegations of missing $2.8billion dollars under Buhari's watch in 1983 It also I believe explains why Buhari found it okay to serve under the Abacha administration and eventually say after Abacha passed away, that "Abacha never stole". It is his public declaration that Abacha never stole combined with the fact that he served under Abacha that raised serious red flags in my mind about him. Why would anyone (especially one who served under Abacha) make such a declaration? It stands to reason that the only reason he would say that is that he had very strong reasons for which he would want us to believe that statement. And I make bold to say that those reasons are almost certainly self-protective. As I write this, it occurs to me that the man (Buhari) does not really respect Nigerians at all. Or else how could he have declared such a feeble lie, expecting anyone to believe it? Anyway, this is the link to the US Department of Justice-hosted sentencing implicating Aisha Buhari in the Criminal Fraud case of William Jefferson, now serving his term in the US: http://www.justice.gov/sites/default/files/criminal-fraud/legacy/2012/06/01/11-06-09jefferson-sent-memo.pdf Screen shots attached below

Will be off NL for some time. Got tasks to finish so I may not be able to reply many comments/mentions. Besides not every mention should be replied |
This is how Napoleon Hill describes Cosmic Habit Force, a term he invented in his life time: “Nature’s method of giving fixation to all habits so that they may carry on automatically once they have been set into motion.” We do not know when it was set in motion, but apparently, after the wheels of lying where set in motion in the habit pattern of the Igbos, they have not been able to stop. Having been labelled "land grabbers" and embarrassed by massive rejection and negative feedback after their attempt to lie their way into Rivers State (the same way they tried with Lagos by saying it is no man's land) some of them retraced their steps here on nairaland. However, in the habit of lying, others have imagined that a cool trick would be to turn the land grabbing accusations back on the Rivers People. We do not know what has inspired this new move on their part but I hereby ask any of those proponents of the Idea to mention just one piece of non-Ijaw land that Ijaws have attempted to grab. You will observe that some of these Igbos will start mentioning Ikweres and Etches and other ethnic groups which Ijaws want to take away from Igbos when of course and naturally, we honestly cannot tell the Ikwere man who is. That is NOT one of our weaknesses - trying to declare to others who they are. While we definitely relate to Ikweres as Ikweres, it is the Ikweres themselves that VEHEMENTLY reject the concept/idea of an Igbo identity. How can we go in to them and carry out the misbehaviour Igbos are trying to carry out in Rivers State? How can we go and declare them Igbos or anything else we wish? That is pure lunacy. We respect them and their choice of identity (Ikwere). If Igbos feel that really, these people are Igbo, why can't the Igbos reach out to them on diplomatically and show them their long existing blood relationships and bring them into the fold? What, for crying out loud, does that have to do with the Ijaws? I make bold to say this has no more to do with us Ijaws than it has to do with Fulanis, or Nupes, or Yorubas, or any other people in the world that it does not concern. I also make bold to say that the number of Igbo lands currently being claimed by Ijaws is zero. So please, name one piece of Igbo land Ijaws are trying to grab or respectfully forever hold your peace. |
TonyeBarcanista:I see. I do not know much about Obollo and Eastern Ibeno. Note taken |
cheruv:Like which land please? Can you mention just one? |
Marcelini:Of course, Ibibios are not Ijaws but under certain circumstances, we will fraternise for certain self-development issues if we so choose. |
cheruv:Upside down thinking. When a man marries a woman is it the woman that takes up the man's identity, changing her name and place of origin or the other way round. You want to turn the fact that many Ijaws have had Igbos for wives for years in your favour. The Ijaw strong houses take their wives and the grace of the man covers her as she changes her way to become the new people she has come into |
DiademSh07:I think you know they both allowed it for political reason |
DiademSh07:The same what Buhari meekly accepted to be called Mohammed Ugochukwu Buhari during presidential campaigns. I saw it all on live TV. I couldn't help laughing. |
Marcelini:Are you not aware that Jaja was a slave that was made free in Bonny Island through the slave-freeing ceremony (which includes the shaving of his head by the woman of his master's house)? Are you not aware that it was Bonny grace that freed him and made him a free man? Are you not aware that when he became rich in Bonny and wanted to become chief of the house that accepted him in and they refused, he decided to go to war? Are you not aware that he lost? Are you not aware that he had no place to go to when he lost because the war was not on land but on the see with war boats and cannon guns and so he could not come back into the Bonny kingdom? Are you not aware that it was the neighbouring King of Andoni that gave him (himself and his remaining followers) land to settle on and on which to establish his own kingdom? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opobo#History

MyGeneration: 1). Obi Wali's killers killed him through his wife (An Ikwere Woman). It was the sensational news at the time in Rivers State and songs were made out of it. 2). There is nothing like Ijaw-Ikwere divide in Rivers State. When it comes to owning Port Harcourt however, the Okrikas (who are Ijaw) and the Ikweres and I think also the Ogonis lay claim to different parts of the city because it spreads across their lands. Beyond that, his claim of an existing struggle for the control of Rivers State between Ijaws and Ikweres is disgraceful nonsense because: (a) Wike, an Ikwere enjoys the massive support of Ijaws against other Ijaw politicians in the state. Dakuku had a dismal Ijaw following. How much support did even Tonye PrinceWill who is a prominent Kalabari prince and successful in business get from the Ijaws during the last elections. Go and see whether his figures are not like KOWA's all through Rivers State. (b) Where there no Ijaw candidates before Ijaws massively voted for Omehia after Odili left? This is even though Odili was Ikwere and it was widely believed he stole the state dry. We believed he was a better man and we supported him. Up till today I think he was an improvement from Odili that unfortunately did not last long. (c) When Odili was coming into power in 1999, who were the Rivers State king makers that ensured he got into power? Have you heard of the name, Marshall Harry? Is it not the Marshall Harry click (Ijaws) that put him in power? (d) Marshal Harry was killed and up till today, no matter the ethnic group in Rivers State, everyone believes it was Peter Odili that killed him. Did we not still vote for Omehia? Amaechi became governor by court ruling, in his second term bid, who gave Amaechi a run for his money? Was it not Omehia? It was Omehia because the people still believed in him. This dumb-dumb OP was not smart enough to know that this is not Abia state where even though everyone has been speaking Igbo for hundreds of years, they still find a way to politically divide themselves into a Bende faction and an Ngwa faction. Rivers State has long since been multi-ethnic and we have learnt to live and work with ourselves that way (even before Bayelsa State was created). As for Ikwere's being Igbos or not, Ijaws are not really the ones saying they are not Igbos. Think about it... Do we have a right to tell other people what they are or are not? It is the Ikwere's themselves that vehemently reject Igbos. They could fight you over that. Is it not for Igbos to diplomatically reach out to them and get them into their fold if they feel that is where they belong? Why should we be drawn into that? In any case, as long as any group of people belong in Rivers State, we always look for a way to make things stay balanced. But we know ethnicity is not our problem in Rivers State as demonstrated by those we have chosen to support over the years. Let others who think that is their problem keep the ethnic wranglings within their own states, where they still believe these wranglings are the hope for a better future. |
[s] Ugomba:[/s] Let me just say that I believe if Scientists want to find out the part of the human DNA responsible for telling lies, all they have to do is get a random sample of Igbo volunteers and their job will be complete by half. These lies are more insulting to the teller than the the lies are supposed to be against because it takes a certain amount of bold stupidity to come out and allow yourself to be easily associated with easily verifiable hogwash. 1). It was sensational news in Rivers State when Obi Wali was killed by a combination of his wife (an Ikwere woman) and assassins. 2). Even today, the majority of the riverine Ijaw people are in support of Wike as against other Ijaw candidates (Dakuku Peterside and even Tonye Princewill). 3). In fact, all the recent Ikwere govs have been massively supported by Ijaws 4). Clearly, what lies in the Rivers Man's head is different from what lies in the Igbo man's. These Igbos believe that everything and every people are like them. In Igbo land where everyone speaks the same language, you will be surprised at the deep division amongst themselves along state lines (no one else but themselves sees the difference between an Abian and an Imo). Intriguingly, they manage to find reasons for division within the states also. This is something I never got to understand during my years of stay in Abia state. So these folks unfortunately have chosen to tell lies that have no bearings with anything because they know in their states statements such as these would mean something and have an effect. They do not understand that they are only further cementing their position in our minds as reetarrded frauds. And indeed, I think they are. What would you say of a people that were so fooled by this?: https://www.nairaland.com/2843216/biafran-passport-massob-defrauded-us |
It's a new experience for me. --- |
Since this re-run cut across all LGAs except one, I started nursing fears there is a chance the APC has rigged in all the other LGAs while the public, and the PDP have invested most of their attention on southern Ijaw. But I think they are just fears and nothing more |

My guess is OP is Igbo. They are the only ones who suffer from the need to do this. |
