So Kobeni from Chainsaw Man, what's her deal? Her life is absolute shit. Her car keeps getting destroyed. She slipped and fell twice while serving burgers to the Chainsaw Devil, so he decapitated her family members and forced her to go on a date. Her partner died trying to save her.

She was actually forced into this business in the first place when all she wanted to do was go to the university. She's weak as hell and her stronger friends bite it while she somehow survives. She's literally always physically in distress in every appearance. Its like she exists just to suffer. Her car ranked higher than her in the popularity poll ffs.

Did Fujimoto get his heart broken by a woman named Kobeni in the past?

I had no idea. That's great news.

Just finished Jigokuraku. I've been on this manga's d*ck for a long time now and it had finally come to an end. The ending may felt a little rushed but it still managed to leave me satisfied.

Jigokuraku has always seemed to be more character driven than most shonen action titles. So even when the plot may have worn thin or the fights weren't up to scratch, the characters continued to develop and reveal new sides of themselves. Every important character had a fulfilling character arc that wrapped up nicely.

Fingers crossed for an anime adaptation. I doubt it, though.

I agree with you, it got to a point i had no fucking clue who to like in the anime. I mean should i like light, that has this God image of himself, and kill anybody that tries to stop him, even if they are innocent, or should i support L the intelligent detective who is trying to stop Kira, the guy who wants to reduce crime rate in the world. Till the end i can actually say, i had no body i actually termed good guy through out the 37 episodes, i wanted them to catch light, and at the same time i wanted light to win. But, that ending was quite depressing. He should have kept his cool....

For JJk its not bad, but not great either.

In my opinion, Light was never portrayed as a good guy. He was already thinking aloud about killing his parents and sister of they found out about him as early as episode 2. Light was clearly the villain and L was the anti-hero.

As for JJK, I get the hype. You can't really fault this anime adaptation in any way. If you are a shonen fan, there's a 99% chance you'll like it. I'm a manga reader and I can easily tell you that the first 20-30 chapters are the worst. They are still quite decent, though.
If you like it from the start, you'll like it more as you watch it. If you hate it, you'll hate it less.

Just finished with Death Note.

That has to be the anime with the most saddest ending i have ever watched. Men, i mean, light that was always so fucking cool and , became shit at the end. I am just sad.

On other news, an overrated anime just became the best anime of the year according to crunchy rolls. I guess even when the lion is not around, dog self go wan claim strongest.... I am talking about JJK.

Light got what he deserved at the end. Tbh, anime dropped in quality during that Higuchi arc and took a sharp nosedive once Near and Mello were introduced. The final episode itself was strong but I believe the anime wasted a or of its potential.

JJK is dope. It's not the second coming of Christ but it's still a very good watch. Not exactly a groundbreaking shonen but it knows how to play with established tropes and seamlessly blends in seinen elements.

Personal questions to the community.

1. Do you show your power level in public? Do people know you as an otaku?

2. Do you own any anime related merch (physical manga, clothing, figurines, dakimakura, cards, posters, etc). Games don't count.

3. How much do you fit into the average otaku stereotype (nerdy, introverted, avid gamer, never been in a relationship, etc)?

The premise of the question is flawed in my opinion. A child is a living, breathing, conscious human being just like yourself who will most likely grow up to determine their own purpose in life.

To sum up an entire human being's existence into whether they are a part of God's plan for you is pointless. Once the child is born, that question doesn't matter anymore.

Unless something big has happened since chapter 136, the only times he has lost were situations where he was either caught unaware or outsmarted.

It kind of proves my point. Imagine the sheer amount of hubris it takes to go sight seeing with the prey when predators are circling the area.

Gojou is said to be the strongest character in Jujutsu Kaisen but his overconfidence is a serious hindrance to him. He reminds of an OP villain who always fails to score the killing blow and then ends up getting outsmarted by the good guys.

The only thing I would credit Gotouge for is making her villain a Michael Jackson reference, whether consciously or not.

To answer your last question, it's not the manga, it's the anime.

Ninja is a big deal but we've had PewDiePie himself talk about stuff without them blowing up like this. I don't follow Ninja but surely this can't be the only anime he's talked about, can it?

But I guess I can see it though, a popular weekly Shonen Jump manga getting a fantastic anime adaptation and getting hyped up by big social media personalities.

But how do we account for the massive Japanese fanbase? They drive most of the manga sales and they account for most of the box office success. Anglophone social media doesn't have as much sway in Japan.

Sales info shows that the second highest-selling manga in Japan, Kingdom did about 8 million in sales last year. How on earth did Demon Slayer do 80 million?

The anime went viral, with episode 19 trending worldwide at #1 on Twitter. The movie was #1 in the global box office for a period. The manga has gotten ×5 the sales of the big players at their peak.

What is Koyoharu Gotouge doing that others aren't? How does her manga differ from the rest?

I don't think so. Yhwach is a very OP character and godtier compared to the HST and all other popular shonen genre. His limiting factor is range. I don't think his Almighty can work on an attack or a character that is from a higher plane of existence than he is. the characters up there can affect higher dimensional planes of existence with their powers and also exist there.
Think of it like an all powerful 2D construct trying to harm a human or any 3D object. we all know it's , impossible because a human is qualitatively superior to a 2D construct, no matter how large or powerful it is.

Almighty 'might' have the power to do that, since he can look into and, to some extent affect all possible pasts and futures when he opens all his eyes. Remember when Ichibei turned Yhwach into a black ant stepped on him? Yhwach was able to use Almighty to reverse that even though he had already been crushed.

He broke Ichigo's sword in all possible pasts making it unfixable until Tsukishima stabbed Ichigo with his fullbring and created a new past where it existed so Inoue could reverse the damage.

The issue with this is that a lot of DBZ characters will stomp majority of the anime verse. Freiza destroyed a planet and Goku beat him with super saiyan, they needed Super Saiyan 2 to beat Cell and had to get even stronger to beat Majin Buu.

Being OP should be a function of the character's own universe. For example, Koro-sensei is OP in the Ass. Class. verse, Meruem, Pitou, Pouf, and Youpi are OP in the HxH verse. However, if you take them to the DBZ verse they'll get stomped.

Trump's did not call for a protest, he called for an insurrection to stop Mike Pence (who told him a day earlier that he had no powers to reject the results) and the Congress from certifying the election results. He also instructed his followers never to give up.

You keep saying this but nothing here unambiguously threatens violence. How is saying "let's stop the steal" different from saying "let's end police brutality"? Unless you think the second sentence means we should kill every police member. Saying "we will never give up", has never been a call to violence. It's basically par for the course in any organized protest.

The "giving congressmen the pride and boldness to stop the steal" line actually works against your point. How were they supposed to vote in favour of Trump if the process was interrupted?

The fact still remains that they couldn't prove it. To quote the actual report:

"While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."

The bottom line is that the two-year investigation couldn't prove that Trump committed a crime. Mueller didn't recommend any charges. All this started from a dossier that was financed by the Clinton campaign, but you don't seem to care.

Likewise, didn't hear any case of election fraud from the Trump team because Trump couldn't prove it.

Besides, the violent protests stopped the government from doing its legal duty, keeping citizens safe. But it doesn't help the narrative to care about that, does it?

Is you can't prove guilt, then the accused is innocent. They can't prove that Trump colluded with the Russians the same way Trump can't prove widespread election fraud. However, the media tells us that one is a reasonable concern but the other is an attack on democracy. The real answer is that both sides are dirty liars that would do anything to discredit their opposition.
