Can confirm. I watched the Yagate Kimi no Naru back in 2019. Found time to finish the manga late last year. If you like the yuri genre you'll love this one.

Guys recommend any unpopular/old/dark anime you know off I feel like I have watched every anime I came across

1. Jormungand: Gun dealing hang with one of the most charismatic leaders I've ever seen

2. Nana: Realistic romantic drama. It's josei, and not everyone is into that.

3. Neon Genesis Evangelion: I'll be surprised if you haven't seen this one. Highly recommended

4. Birdy the Mighty Decode: A space cop chases a criminal to earth and accidentally kills a highschool student. Now she and the student have to share a body and take out the baddies.

5. Welcome to the NHK: Follows the struggles of a hikikomori (person who doesn't leave the house) and his attempts to reconnect with society. Not perfect but also highly recommended.

6. Ping Pong the Animation: From the maker of Devilman Crybaby. An anime about pong and chasing your dreams. I also recommend Kemonozume especially if you liked Devilman.

7. The Monogatari Series: People sleep on this in Nigeria. Start with Bakemonogatari.

8. Spice and Wolf: A merchant meets and befriends a wolf goddess. Together they travel the world and get into schemes.

9. Aldnoah Zero: Mecha anime about a war between earth and mars. Great first season, terrible second season.

10. 3-Gatsu no Lion: A heartfelt drama about a shogi prodigy recovering from a family tragedy.

As for older stuff, check out: Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho (HxH guy made this), Rurouni Kenshin, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Serial Experiments Lain, Fist of the North Star, Golden Boy, etc
