Cos they're backstabbers and always will be...

Same northerners been murdering them in their numbers yet these folks will bend over backwards to please them so they can satisfy their hate filled dark hearts
They said they are sophisticated and diplomatic, but that's not how to be diplomatic, as they would be left in the cold if they have issues with the north. A case in point was their issue at Ile Ife...They were literally abandoned by their southern neighbours...
Politics › Why Is It That The Yorubas Take Bullet For The Northerners by Cooly100(op): 7:04pm On Jun 19, 2017
I have been around many social media outpost, and it has become a pattern for the Yorubas to take up fight for the northerners, if there was issue bordering between say, the north and SS, like in the days of ND militants and now SS as in Biafra...Why...Can you not see how they reacted to Stella Odua's case Vs how they reacted to Farouk bribery case in NASS...? Why is this so...?

Can the Yourbas in the house throw some light into these things?

There could be reasons for this...and I will really like to know why they find it difficult to support their southern neighbours..

Politics › Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Cooly100: 1:09pm On Jun 18, 2017
Ahead of the take-off of the Federal Government proposed ICT University of Nigeria, members of its implementation committee on Tuesday expressed satisfaction with the state of facilities at the Digital Bridge Institute Enugu, designated as one of the campuses of the university.

The proposed ICT University will be a multi-campus institution of the present Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) as located in Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Asaba and Yola.

On Tuesday, some members of the Implementation Committee for the Proposed ICT University conducted a physical assessment of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) in Enugu, one of the six ICT learning centers built by NCC in the country.

Members of the Committee in the assessment team were Dr. Henry Nkemadu, Matthew A. Olaniyan and Mr Osita Okechuwu, the Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON).

Speaking with journalists at the site after the physical assessment tour, Okechukwu announced the readiness of the Enugu campus for the take off of the university, the first of its kinds in the country.

He expressed satisfaction with the state of the facilities at the site, including buildings, road infrastructure, and equipment.

“President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government had mandated the Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu to forthwith set up a University of ICT, in recognition of the continuous frenetic growth pace of Information Communications Technology (ICT) and the huge impact on the economy which country that harvests the technical talents and specialists it can engender,

“In fulfillment of Mr. President’s objective to set up University of ICT, so as to enhance learning environment and create millions of jobs through skilled ICT workforce, the Ministry of Communications set up an implementation committee, chaired by erudite Professor Julius Okojie, former Secretary of National University Commission (NUC) and Dr Amina Sambo Magaji as Secretary.

The VON DG said the committee was further mandated to determine the additional requirements for the University to meet with international best practices.

Okechukwu disclosed that the university would be run on a public/private sector partnership (PPP), stressing that multinational ICT companies like CISCO and motorolla would be involved.

Speaking in a similar vein, Henry Nkemadu, another member of the Committee who represented the NCC said the facilities at the centre were enough to ensure that the university takes off.

Guy park well. All this one sided story won't help your course. All you heroes were bron in the north way before independence and many more moved in and own properties in the north from those time till this moment. When has an igbo Man ever been denied land in the north?
What you are saying is different form what you called lies. If they are not denied, it's a different thing. The issue here is about hate speeches...In same way Kanu speeches could be lies as nobody has been affected by it...But he was arrested for almost 2 years just for that. Do you get it now?
Politics › Re: Igbo Biafra Dream In Nigeria Is A Mirage That Can Never Be Realized! by Cooly100: 11:32am On Jun 18, 2017
oladeebo:
The Igbo have no common traditional story of their origins. Historians have proposed two major theories of Igbo origins. One claims the existence of a core area, or "nuclear Igboland." The other claims that the Igbo are descended from waves of immigrants from the north and the west who arrived in the fourteenth or fifteenth century. Three of these are the Nri, Nzam, and Anam.

European contact with the Igbo began with the arrival of the Portuguese in the mid-fifteenth century. At first the Europeans confined themselves to slave trade on the Niger Coast. At this point, the main item of commerce provided by the Igbo was slaves, many of whom were sent to the New World. After the abolition of the slave trade in 1807, British companies pushed beyond the coastal areas and aggressively pursued control of the interior. The Protectorate of Southern Nigeria, created in 1900, included Igboland. Until 1960, Nigeria remained a British colony, and the Igbo were British subjects. On October 1, 1960, Nigeria became an independent nation structured as a federation of states.

In summary:
Igbo immigrated into Africa 1400AD - 1500AD!
European contact with igbo in Mid 1500AD!
The main item of commerce provided by the Igbo was slaves!
The abolition of the slave trade is in 1807!
The Protectorate of Southern Nigeria, created in 1900, included Igboland!
So, Slave trade bring igbo into Nigeria territory in around 1800AD! they(igbo) come from cameroon to Nigera to kidnap people from Benin and sell them to Portuguese merchants, in this trade many stay in the South east!
The owners of Nigeria were Hausa, Yoruba and Bini etc that have occupied Nigeria territory thousands years back!
oladeebo from Bini Empire!

Like I said earleir...one step at a time..You can't stampede people into taking rash decisions....How can anyone wait for the abokis and afonjas to do anything when all the country does, is to develop only the West and the North...It will be silly to wait for them...as the current siutation favours them....It's like asking a blood sucking leeche, a parasite to reject its host....It's absurd!!!

BE READY TO GO HOME!!! Our aim is a legal divorce from Nigeria with a new homeland to relocate to; until that is guaranteed its suicidal to congregate in the east under guard of a hostile and reckless armed forces. Don't go anywhere until Biafra or some other entity legally emerges.

Thank you!!

Good, but unfortunately referendum in regards to independent nation is not part of Nigeria constitution and you will have to put pressure on your elective representatives in the "Zoo" government to do something about that.

Until then, show us that this is just not a noise making exercise by moving your family and business out of the "Zoo".
If you are intelligent, you would understand what the guy you are replying is saying...They can't move while your military are still stationed there...They can never relocate until it is officially done...
Politics › North Cut Off From The South As Two Bridges Collapse Between Jebba And Mokwa.. by Cooly100(op): 11:48pm On Jun 17, 2017
By Wole Mosadomi

It is now a difficult moment for transporters, commuters and motorists shuttling between the northern and southern parts of the country through Ilorin-Mokwa-Jebba road. This is because the two major bridges linking the two parts of the country collapsed in the last two weeks as a result of torrential rainfall in the area. One of the bridges is in Tatabu/ Gidan Moin along Jebba- Mokwa road while the other, Bokani bridge, is along Tegina-Makera road, both in Mokwa Local Government Area of the state.

Bokani bridge was washed off last week, forcing vehicles, especially trucks, to divert from Makera- Tegina road to Bida- Minna road. Tatabu bridge, washed away, last Sunday night after a torrential rainfall, has left all categories of vehicles plying the busy road stranded for days while some trucks fell into the bridge but no life lost. Some smaller vehicles were however lucky to escape from the spot after creating alternative routes through the bush to link the major road after the collapsed bridge while others diverted from Ilorin through Pategi to be ferried across river Niger to Bida Minna road.

Besides the bridges being washed away, the railway line, also along Tatabu village to Mokwa, was also washed away, thereby putting a stop to railway transportation between the South and the North. Meanwhile, Ilorin-Mokwa- Jebba road had been in deplorable condition for several years. The journey between Ilorin through Jebba to Mokwa, which should ordinarily take about two hours, had taken between four and five hours until last year when the contract to rehabilitate the road was awarded and work commenced.

Meanwhile the work has gone far but stopped meters to the Jebba bridge, and from this spot, the journey, which is less than 30 minutes, now takes about one and a half hours with harrowing experiences but, with the collapse of the Mokwa bridge, no vehicle can pass through from the southern part of the country to the North except through the bush paths newly created by motorists with the help of villagers along the routes but only the small vehicles can manage to pass through. As a result of the development, there are now a long queues of tankers and trucks along Mokwa- Jebba road trapped as they cannot proceed on their trips or make a u-turn. Motorists informed about the sad development are now forced to pass through Okenne-Lokoja-Abuja road to Niger state and other parts of the North which is by no means a longer and more expensive journey.

It is better to lose properties than be treated with disdain in Nigeria.. Do you know some Igbos had to change their names to a northern names in other to get a favour? What about quota system, cut off score in admision to unity school...to favout he north...but what it comes to intake in military; DSS, Immigration, custom, Police, the government do not use same process to favour the easterners who had lower quota? Why? There should be a level gound for all to compete...for a country we all call our own...but that is not the case...

I like your reasoning. Nigeria has a lot to gain by letting the IBOs go.

1. Visa fees,
2. Death penalty for Biafra criminals
3. Fees from use of airspace
4. Money that will be saved from allocation to Biafra states.
5. Increased tuition fees for Biafra students.

The list is endless. I am really surprised at the effort Nigeria is making to keep Biafra. Nigeria don't need Biafra at all.

Nigeria let Biafra go!

They have a chance of having dual citizenship. There are 3 million Yoruba people in the Republic of Benin, Yoruba is the second largest recognised ethnic group in that country. Many are dual citizen, many are elected in political offices in that country, but u don't see Nigerian Yorubas claiming them even when they are very close to Nigeria border. That is how it will be if they ever get Biafra with their 5 south east state
You already have the SW, the entire north... with population of more than 100 million. Why do you still need the few Igbos in other states...?
