The verdict of the Rivers state election petition tribunal that nullified the April 11 Electoral victory of PDP and Governor Nyesome Wike and ordered for a rerun should not in any way cause sadness in the camp of the good people of Rivers state and members of the PDP.

Though unfortunate and unexpected, the forthcoming re-run election presents another opportunity for Rivers people to tell APC and their praise-singers that the PDP is the only political party known in Rivers state. The PDP has also been presented a golden opportunity to reaffirm that Rivers state is the party's undisputed Political Capital of Southern Nigeria.

Rivers state shall remind the APC with our votes that we believe in the leadership of Nyesome Wike and the PDP. The APC shall be told once again that Rivers people will never vote for a party that shut down our judiciary and our State House of Assembly for over TWO years under the inglorious and painful administration of Rotimi Amaechi. APC will understand through the thumb-print of Rivers people that Riverians will not be cowed to submit to a party that uphold the 97% and 5% principles. APC will learn the hard way that Rivers state is determined to return them to the dust-bin of history.

PDP fans, members and supporters should see the gain in all these and start mobilising for 100% Wike's victory at the rerun poll. Of a truth, the re-run will once again shut the mouth of APC propagandists in Aso rock, Daura and Bourdillon.

Finally, I want to advice APC and Dakuku Peterside to stop wasting their looted funds on a goose chase. They should be more concerned with the present power they hold in Aso Rock because we are coming to reclaim it through the votes of patriotic Nigerians in 2019. Rivers is PDP and PDP is Rivers. God Sparing our lives, we shall meet at the poll.

The police have arrested six suspected Fulani herdsmen that abducted the former secretary to the government of the federation, Olu Falae.

According to Vanguard reports, the kidnappers were arrested in Ekiti and Niger States.
Sources close to the arrest disclosed that the suspects were picked up in these locations following a tip off as their identities match those that reportedlt kidnapped the elder statesman.
Falae was kidnapped weeks ago by suspected herdsman on his farmland located at llado in Akure north council of Ondo state.

The herdsmen not done with the first attack were said to have overran the farmland for the second time destroying properties in its wake.

It was learnt that rampaging herdsmen came into the farm at 2am that fateful day and destroyed over one kilometer of maize planation with their cows. This new incident happens barely two weeks after they held Falae and his workers hostage.

This latest incident prompted the former minister of finance to alert the police. It was learnt that the police mounted surveliance in the farmald and had been searching for the fleeing suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Esueme Dan-Kikili, the Bayelsa state commissioner for information, confirmed that the former governor had died after a cardiac arrest.Vanguard reports that Alamieyeseigha slipped into a coma two days ago and was placed on life support.

According to family sources, Alamieyeseigha suddenly fell ill in his hometown in Ammassoma township of Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa and was rushed to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, where he died at age 62.

His remains, according to a source at the UPTH, were later moved to the mortuary in the hospital.

When contacted by The Punch correspondent, the chief medical director, Professor Aaron Ojule, declined to speak on the matter. He directed the newsman to the family of the late former governor.

However, speaking on the tragic incident, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, the chief press secretary to Bayelsa governor, said: “Bayelsa State Government commiserates with his wife, Margret, his immediate family, the Alamieyeseighas, the entire people of the state. The Ijaw nation has indeed lost a rare gem.”

US Counter-terror officials have asked Toyota, the world’s second largest auto maker, to help them determine how ISIS has managed to acquire the large number of Toyota pick-up trucks and SUVs seen prominently in the terror group’s propaganda videos in Iraq, Syria and Libya, ABC News has learned.

Toyota says it does not know how ISIS obtained the vehicles and is “supporting” the inquiry led by the Terror Financing unit of the Treasury Department -- part of a broad U.S. effort to prevent Western-made goods from ending up in the hands of the terror group. Toyota Hilux pickups have become fixtures in videos of the ISIS campaign loaded with heavy weapons and cabs jammed with terrorists.

“This is a question we’ve been asking our neighbors,” Faily said. “How could these brand new trucks... these four wheel drives, hundreds of them -- where are they coming from?”

Following his promise to unveil his ministerial list at the end of September, President Muhammadu Buhari has sent the list of his nominees through Senator Ita Enang, his special adviser on National Assembly Matters, who departed New York earlier.

The prized document should be submitted immediately to the Senate, which resumes from its six-week break on Tuesday. A top presidential source, who is the member of Buhari’s entourage, said the president who is currently in New York had already briefed the Senate president Bukola Saraki on the development, emphasizing that Ita Enang is expected to hand over the list to either the Senate president at the resumption of the plenary depending on the mood of the upper legislative chamber.

President Buhari is expected to return to Nigeria on Wednesday, September 30, before the celebration of the Independence Day.

On Tuesday, September 22, unknown gunmen attacked Allawa village in Shiroro local government area of Niger state.

As a result of the midnight raid, the district head of the village along with his brother, a police Inspector and 33 villagers were brutally killed.

The Nation reports that the gunmen are suspected to be Fulani herdsmen. They invaded the village with dangerous weapons including sophisticated machine guns and started shooting at local people.

Several villagers sustained serious injuries while trying to escape the invaders, while 25 houses were razed by the invaders. The attack, which lasted two hours, left people helpless as no security agency came to help them.

Meanwhile, Bala Elikana, the state’s police public relations officer, confirmed the incident and expressed shock at the death of innocent people. He added that the command was not able to get the exact number of victims of the cruel attack.

There have not been any friction between members of Allawa village and Fulani herdsmen in the locality, therefore, the reason for the attack is still unknown. Earlier this month, Fulani herdsmen renewed their attacks in Plateau state.

On Monday, September 14, they invaded Fan village in Foron district of Barkin Ladi local government area of the state and killed 20 people, several others were injured.

I am 100% in support of the FG's prosecution of Senate President Olubukola Saraki over the allegations levelled against him that borders on falsification of his assets that he declared before the Code of Conduct Bureau in 2003. I believe that people should be held responsible for their actions. However, the ongoing trials of Saraki has exposed the hypocrisy and insincerity of President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the All Progressive Congress.

Following the Saraki event may make one be FOOLED into believing that 'Buhari mean business'. The fact on ground is that 'Buhari has just been exposed as an insincere and double-faced leader.

On Sunday, 20 September, Buhari through his spokesman Shehu Garba came out to say the President will not intervene in this Saraki's travails because he has sworn to allow judicial process take its course. In the exact words of Shehu;

The government that made this statement is the same government that killed the judicial process with respect to the N2.8 billion corruption suit that was instituted against exBayelsa state Governor and APC Chieftain Timpre Sylva by withdrawing the charges against the accused which was instituted in 2012 and prosecuted by EFCC. The Sylva case was withdrawn on June 1, 2015 ie three days after Buhari took office as president. Is it not the same President Buhari through spokesman Femi Adesina that said he will only probe Jonathan's administration and won't go pre-Jonathan's era because he considers it to be "far past"? Didn't Femi Adesina utter these words on July 22?

Obasanjo left power on May 29, 2007 but will not be probed because he belongs to the "far past", while Saraki is being prosecuted with all vigour for offence he allegedly committed in 2003. Which is farther between 2003 (Saraki) and 2007(Obasanjo)? Does that tell sincerity on the part of Buhari?

The Insincerity and Hypocrisy of Osinbajo and APC
It was a surprise that Alhaji Lai Muhammed and other APC chieftains joined the chorus to urge Saraki to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal to clear his name. People may be fooled into believing that these APC men means business. But do they?

When Atiku Abubakar was indicted by the Senate and the government of Obasanjo on allegation of financial misappropriation of PTDF fund in 2006/2007 (www.saharareporters.com/2007/02/28/breaking-news-ptdf-scandal-senate-indicts-obj-atiku-impeachment-motion-looms), didn't Lai Muhammed the spokesman of AC(as at 2006) defended him and cried witch-hunt while forgeting issues? Didn't they go ahead to give Atiku the AC flag for 2007 Presidential election? Was Garba Shehu not Atiku's spokesman as at then? Why didn't they tell him to face the allegation? Who is fooling who?

The same Lai Muhammed as spokesman of ACN cried that the FG wanted to use the Code of Conduct Tribunal to silent Tinubu when they arraigned him in 2012. In fact, ALL ACN Governors abandoned governance in their states to accompany "Jagaban" to Abuja all through the trial. When did these men turn anticorruption apostles?

Before Murtala Nyako was impeached in July 2014 on allegation of Corruption, APC Governors, Chieftains and even Chairman Oyegun did not talk about the offence but were accusing Jonathan of witch-hunt. In fact John Oyegun said this

Take a look at them boldened, the same people are telling Saraki to answer to 2003 offence. Is that not hypocrisy? Pa Audu Abubakar is currently facing charges that borders on corruption, but the APC never told him to face his offence. Instead, they rewarded him with party ticket for Kogi Gov'ship poll.

Be not be deceived into believing that the APC and Buhari are ready to fight corruption. Senator Saraki is being prosecuted because APC and Buhari want to seek political vendetta. If Saraki was their ally, he won't be prosecuted.

Finally, Saraki MUST answer to his offence before the Code of Conduct tribunal but President Buhari and the All Progressive Congress must understand that Nigerians see through their insincerity, deception and hypocrisy.

Official: Dozens Killed in S. Sudan Fuel Tanker Explosion caused by a lighted cigarette.

JUBA, South Sudan — A fuel truck exploded in South Sudan, killing dozens of people who had converged around the vehicle to siphon fuel, officials said Thursday.

Eighty-five people were killed in the accidental explosion in Western Equatoria state on Wednesday, presidential spokesman Ateny Wek Ateny told The Associated Press. However, the provincial governor, Patrick Raphael Zamoi, cited a much higher death toll of 176 and said others were critically injured.

"People are still dying; they have not assessed the exact number in the hospital," Zamoi said.

The explosion happened in Maridi town after the truck veered off the road, according to Ateny.

Citing local authorities, he said the tanker was "full of petrol" that started to leak and residents were siphoning off fuel when someone lit a cigarette, sparking an explosion.

Well its no longer news since its known that President Buhari has statred talks with Boko haram . From the view of it all the final result is Amnesty for the terrorist group and basic neccesities as they may likely chose to get from the Fed Gov.

Viewing it again very well from a laymans angle did anyone try to notice any kind of difference between the Late Yaraduas Amnesty Program and that of the current President Buhari.


Indeed the president wants to give amnesty to Boko Haram with conditions though. So, are we saying that if tomorrow, we are told that if the arrangee Chibok girls have been found as would be if at all any time soon, then, Mohammed Shekau will be welcomed to Aso Rock for a handshake ??

Well I would like to know the gains and losses pros and cons just in case of the future.
