@currentprice let's wait and see if my stockbroker is right! |
Excellent7:“The post”, in summary, is speculatively based on “…if oil prices continue to fall…”,then “…the risk of the investment outweighs the expected return…” therefore “…value of a company’s equity could decrease…” The writer attempts to play down oando’s hedging of its oil output as considerably deficient in the face of increasing company debt. All the data and facts the writer produced in his “the post” about oando are nothing new. they have been around since 2014 so why choose now to raise alarm when Oando is set to release its financial report. what is the writer’s true purpose? Nairametrics put a disclaimer saying it “is purely the opinion of the writer” and not of Nairametrics, but when I looked for the name of the writer – alas no name. |
myjoy08:Noted. |
Elai147:Yes the offer was very scarce and Bid was way above normal |
I just heard from my broker that CONOIL's about to submit its report and that it is fantastic; revenue and profit increased quite substantially.... Also that the dividend it is to propose is larger than last year's Anyone heard anything? any info?? |
Cornerstone buys back over 103 million shares IPWA buys back 54 million shares is the new par value rule already having its revival effect on 50kobo companies (illiquid penny stocks)? |
Chibuking81:That is irrational behavior. ![]() That ‘someone’ you mentioned is obviously confused and has no business in the stock market. He should better utilize his time doing something else instead of illogically losing all his money. The NSE is not a place for those with acute indecisiveness like in your example. In the words of a late guru; “If you don’t know who you are, this is an expensive place to find out” George Goodman Anyway thanks for the contradictory opinion |
omo see the rush for GT, Zenith and uba |
Please stop selling when there is a bear and buying when there is a bull. you are only trading backwards! ![]() Some of Yesterday’s gainers Berger 6.8% Beteglas 4.98% Flourmill 4.94% Ikejahotel 3.73% Honyflour 1.53% Jberger 5.00% Mobil 4.20% Okomuoil 4.83% Presco 4.69% Wemabank 4.26% There is always profit to be made... |
angelo82:Thanks I know about amcon's shares in these banks. But I hope you know amcon will not sell its shares in all the banks at the same time... |
Something is cooking at wemabank! |
myjoy08:No sir, you are actually Stockbull's alter ego |
It now has a total bid of 2.3m to no offers and they are now bidding higher! Things can suddenly turn around for some stocks. Pls trade with foresight and not panic |
Wema offer suddenly vanished It offer was way more than the bid sell at 0.92 then went to 0.98 then suddenly all offer disappeared! Careful how you sell some of your stocks at a loss |
It is exciting to see that Vono and Costain have begun to rally, and for good reasons. The minute I heard there was a merger between Vono and vitafoam, I understood that it was more of an acquisition by vitafoam. And I promptly bought into Vono. Interestingly I would point out some stocks which are at the moment indicating immediate bullish signals and suggest you have them in your portfolio right away! Fidelity bank Nahco Conoil PZ And yes Oando Keep a close eye on these other ones so that immediately there is the opportunity of a bullish rally u won’t hesitate; Wemabank UACN Prp Ikeja Hotel |
Chibuking81:Even during bears there are still some stocks that are bullish and give good upsides. you shouldn't be discouraged. |
kotlass:@kotlass thanks a lot I have told my secretary to expedite action on that online transfer! 1)But then what is the reason/usefulness for/of all the other dates (18,19,20) if 17 is the qualification date? 2) so if I buy on the 17th can I sell it on the 18th? when can I immediately sell it after I buy on the 17th? 3) please use another example like forte oil... to benefit from the dividend when should I start to buy and how soon can I sell it? please explain this thing in secondary school mode cause I am still a bit confused |
Greetings to everybody please I have a very urgent question. Gurus in the house please help I want to buy shares strictly for dividends like afripud but the closure date confuses me. 1)what is the exact closure 17, 18, 19 or 20? 2)if I buy on the 17th will I still be eligible to receive dividend? 3)If I buy on the 17th when will my name be on the register, that same day or the next day? |
Toluway: 9freeI so agree. I Invested in cornerstone jan 2013 @ N0.50 watched it go up to N0.74 then watched it come down to N0.50 and now I am just about to get away with it! When it hit N0.60 I started selling parts of it. My brokers thought I was nuts when I bought it (loads of it) |
fxisreal: cash is kingsecond that |
stockbull: it's clear that money was pumped into our capital market and now we really see how well we really look.the market must be steady and controlled by indigenous companies and investors if we want to be on safer side. Another fear now is the issue of dangote giant coy with heavy chain mend with the stock market and dragging the market.what will happen if dangote leave office,if his giant coy is heavily staked by foreigners as they're really blowing eyes on it.more big companies need to join the market to balance this potential threat'the market must be steady and controlled by indigenous companies and investors if we want to be on safer side' What we need in the nse is for intense involvement of Nigerians and the only way this will happen is by 1) the market staying steady and without the media screaming "investors lose billions in the stock market today" 2) the listing of more indigenous companies like in telecommunications and power. 'what will happen if dangote leave office,if his giant coy is heavily staked by foreigners as they're really blowing eyes on it' this statement is unfounded! |
I hear our friend the bear is now on steroids. Ready to give the bull another pummeling. |
Markets are seasonal bulls and bears. But mind you the bears are by far sweeter! See how the bull unpredictably grinds and struggles with its steps (leading its anxious followers) to go contra nature but watch the 'heavy' bear as it takes a few easy steps to embrace the foremost law of nature. The truth of this whole thing in today's world is Put ... yes Shorting. That's where the real (quick and final) money is. But shorting in NSE is only available to institutional investors?!? This whole capitalist setup is for those ringleaders that set it up and not for (I wouldn't say against) the masses. Think bait. Shepherds don't set up a cattle ranch for the benefit of the cattle! So I say, Optimism is Bull, Pessimism is bear. What do these times tell us? They tell us that apart from pessimism being more profitable than optimism, profit is definitely guaranteed!!! BTW pessimism isn't negative if approached from a constructive angle. Like drawing up worst case scenarios in markets and other aspects of life not just to avoid dangers and pit falls but also to make gains and profit. Constructive Pessimism. |
freeman67: I jst started using cashcraft on their website their charges for buying isYour buy side total should really be 1.8555% if you add VAT to commission and CSCS alert. Why don't you trying negotiating with them to reduce commission and you will increase trade frequency and account. |
stockbull: not agreeing to making an entry in courtville but rather get out of the stock if you're lucky to've made huge gains.their business look good at the moment considering autoreg and others but the price was pumped and there's no traces of demands to justify the trend, infact, the stock was difficult to buy as said by investors and for a stock at a nominal price either it has been up before or not,it should not have appeared the way i've seen it.they only manipulate to attract investors and it truly worked for them.now they are dumping and there's no confirmation yet that it's downtrend but it's advisable to sell to avoid DIFFICULTIESIf "they are dumping" why is it "difficult to buy" and how do you "sell" when there are "no traces of demands". There are no obvious fundamental reasons why the price should shoot up the way it has but we were hoping it could get to above N1.50 before the negative sentiments and fear start pouring in. Courtville is a pennystock sometimes you win sometimes you burnout ur patience waiting.... we've waited and right now it's a winning pennystock. We've sold half and got back initial investment the other half (for profit) will be sold when it starts falling from one fifty god willing |
valacious: whats up with transcorp or japaul at their present price?I have also been looking at Transcorp. The coy has commenced its right issue one for every two to end on 31st may. Now the question on my mind is what's going to happen to its share price? I project a bullish move to around 2.30 however there is an issue that might prevent such a rally. |
mercylicious: I feel like killing sumone now. When my broker does that she says 'it's on queue' and waiting for offers. In other words that she hasn't been approached by sellers. So the demand by buyers for UBA shares outweighs the supply by sellers. Price goes up. Did you set a price mark for your broker? |
