Excellently said. I have worked and related well and Excellently in work place scenarios and several team work scenarios, gotten several referrals and recommendations. Online places like here are much more different.

Remember.. "cloud of anonymity"
Why is everyone talking about this guy? The guy has said it all: "cloud of anonymity". Nobody knows anyone here. Anyone can come here and claim anything. We can't verify it.

We are all performers in our own rights...if some of us list our achievements, mosgoon dey learn. So no need to feel less or be intimidated. He might be lying or saying the truth. It is all "cloud of anonymity".

Everyone needs to prepare their minds for the worse case scenario as APL won't be for everyone regardless of your past track record. Depression is real. Learn to manage your expectations.

I wish everyone well.

Imagine people from the SE going to faraway SW to engage in kidnapping business.

All the names of the identified kidnappers are from one region.

This guy or girl is sooo obsessed with Igbos I think he/she admires them. I have been following your posts, all are targeted at painting the Igbos bad and ugly. I hope it helps you to sleep well at night.

Ministers will be confirmed tomorrow. As Senator Remi Tinubu already accused Fashola of not bringing in any employment slots in the last 4 years in her constituency during the Senate screening, so ministers will hustle this recruitment.

Expect some delays in APL distributions. My theory!

JahMan1:
Waow!
This thread is really friendly and humbling today with all the experiences being shared.
Let me humbly share mine.
Starting from the advertisement: Someone sent me the advert to share on a forum where I belong as an admin. He mentioned that those who successfully apply should send their reference number through me so he can check for shortlist. He asked me to also apply now - days after. I told him I never opened the site as I wasn't aware the vacancies cover my level/age. He encouraged me to check them. I checked and saw few management level vacancies in my area of specialization but was going to ignore it for being an entry level management cadre. He encouraged me to just apply for it and ignore. In the process of checking them closely I found out the requirement of 18 years minimum experience. Waow! That's serious post for them. Well I applied.
Another battle began when they invited me to write an aptitude test. How? For a management level job? No serious multinational will do that, I thought. Again my guy and my spouse encouraged me to just go and write the test. May I say here that I can't remember the last time I wrote an aptitude test. When I was the age of majority of you guys I was writing aptitude tests for fun and confident to be in top 5% in any one of such tests. But these days I am more concerned on leadership styles that can motivate my teams/unit to be actively engaged to deliver superior performance, and definitely fat bonuses for ourselves.
Well, I went for the test and it wasn't funny being disarmed of my phone and watch, and all. But I appreciated that thoroughness by NNPC. Was the test cheap? I can't say. I can't say I smashed it or that I banged it. The questions on history was somehow;
American civil war was about what?
Oil was first discovered in Nigeria which year?
Mobil started operation in Nigeria what year?
Economic Recovery Plan was which year?
And several other funny history questions.
Then the quantitative questions that should be my fortress wasn't really straightforward. Some of the questions were solved and I was sure the best option that I chose was wrong. ETC
Again it came as a surprise not just that I was invited for an interview, but at the speed they collated the test results.
I could have complained that the interview wasn't scheduled for Lagos or via skype, teleconference, etc, but I gave them some kudos that they at least scheduled it on a Saturday.
Well, the interview proper didn't look like the normal interview that I am used to at the multinational where I work. I have sat severally as a chairman in such interviews and I know how we drill prospective employees with practical questions they can hardly pass by reading up theories. And we take a whole day to interview at most 6 candidates for a job.
I was shocked to be grouped to see the same panel that interviewed a prospective senior officer, a supervisor, and possibly a GT in my area of specialization. Is that how they intend to employ a management staff by not bringing in the direct supervisor (senior management staff) in that area?
So I wasn't surprised with the questions they asked me.
1. First they asked me a question about a process in my functional area but not my specialized area. I gave a vivid description of the process and pointed out to them which specialized unit handle it in my place of work and where I come in in the process.
2. They asked about a second question that bothers about JV and periodic reviews. I answered that pointing out what I do currently at my current place of work and what I will possibly do at NNPC.
3. The chairman asked a question on how I will handle my specialized task within a subsidiary of NNPC. That was answered.
4. A question on conflict resolution with my boss - answered.
5. Two questions on safety - give an example of when I was involved in safety concern in the office and my reaction. Second was on what I should see when entering a building to show the seriousness of the organisation with safety.
6. Back to the chairman, who heaved a huge sigh. Made a comment like from xx(Name of my company)xx to NNPC. What do you know about PIB. Well I told him I followed the discussion for a very long time and I even downloaded the proposed act. But I have been told the version I have may not be the latest and it's been changed to PIGB. He asked me to mention the things in my version, and I listed like 4 key things and he seemed satisfied and then asked me to tell him the full meaning of PIB/PIGB, which I humbly did.
They thanked me and signaled the end of the interview and asked if I had any question. I was surprised - no drilling, no sweating. No wahala, I just asked a simple question after commending them on the speed of the recruitment exercise and left. It equally came as a pleasant surprise that I quickly got a 20k credit alert from them. That may be nothing but it's a good gesture, having paid twice for the ticket I used for the journey.
So it's either they give me the job, and I will check the pay my guys said will be better than what I earn currently, the kind of official car they give, other benefits, etc, and then make a choice. Or the way the interview went so quickly they decide not to give me the job. In that case I won't have to worry to make a tough decision to leave my present job and prospects.
Overall, I have prayed and whichever outcome is certainly what God wants for me and the future will prove that.
God bless you all.
Thanks for sharing. You are one of a kind.

I remember back then in 2010. After interview with an oil servicing company, we were asked to drop account number for tfare support. I never received it till date but I got the job. 90% of those that received didn't get the job.

I am not saying there is correlation between the two companies so don't panick. I just wanted to share but I believe it is a tendency in some people. They will be like "forget that guy, once he receives the appointment letter he won't complain about not receiving the tfare".

All the best guys. God is faithful.

They are all chasing selfish agenda.
CareerRe: NNPC Or A First Generation Bank? by corperdonga: 7:55am On Jun 28, 2019
Everything depends on how you play it. For example, you can start today to be very active and on point with everything in the training school. Get everyone to be amazed by your commitment then 3 days to your interview, slow down and start wearing long face. Keep doing your bits.

Don't go and report that you're sick. Let people notice and ask you. You can throw up in class. cool They will beg u to go and see a doctor. You will say you are fine and can manage as you don't want to miss any class.

A day to your departure, vomit, sit alone, look like the world is upon you and the training school will be suggesting hospital to you. Then that's your cue to disappear for two days. It always works.

All I see here is that a lot of people are beating the drums of war. War is very costly not just financial cost. Let's be guided in our statements.

Most people here shouting that Igbos should be destroyed are not even in Nigeria also are the ones replying them.

I pray those in diaspora wishing war on Nigeria be deported from wherever they are hiding.

I have a little boy and wish to see him grow up in a peaceful environment.

You are not right on this one! A few of the applicants received the email, and I must tell you that from the WhatsApp group we created which has about 78 applicants, less than 20 received the message and many of this are graduate trainee. Anyone with the message I'm sure will get the other coming message for 27th, except and only if the person has lied or falsify some information, because background check may still be ongoing on all shortlisted applicants...
Please share the link to the WhatsApp group. Thank you.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Embarrassing Interview Situations You Need To Learn From by corperdonga:
Mine was crazy. I was referred by a friend to the company. Customer care position and I am just fresh from NYSC. That was my first interview and thinking about it now, I really messed up.

It was a panel interview. The head of the panel was one beautiful and spotless lady like one of these models we only see on TV. Boy, I lost composure o. The intonation and phonetics was killing me. I opened my mouth but no sound came out. The interview turned to a counseling session on confidence building.

Of course, I lost the opportunity and learnt from it. Customer care was really not for me as I am a hardcore Engineer but all na hustle.
BusinessRe: N8Bn Is Chicken Change To GTBank, Assets In Trillions - Yinka Ogunnubi (Photos) by corperdonga: 3:00pm On Mar 30, 2019
The talk going on here is really crazy. The bank has been proven guilty and should pay up. Why these tribal insults? Because the bank is own by a Yoruba man and they stole an Igbo man's money, court ordered the bank to pay back then it became an online tribal warhuh

This is actually a victory that should be celebrated by all Nigerians. Banks don steal my money tire. Little little pilfering here and there.

Nigerians should grow pass this tribal sentiments. It is no longer healthy.
