Has anyone ever given this fact a thought? We cant live forever and according to Nostradamus (The man who saw tomorrow), the world would come to an end by the year 3697. For those that do not know him, google it. Nostradamus was beyond an ordinary human due to his divine gift of prediction, he predicted the 9/11 attack long before the building was fully designed, he gave specific and detailed predictions about the anguish that befell several nations, he even predicted the things that would happen to his body after his own death and as narrated - truly an individual; in a bid to have his type of knowledge, attempted to drink a wine with Nostradamus' skull and got killed by a stray bullet from nowhere - Just as he had predicted before his death. This is no prediction though, but I know this thread would live longer than everyone on this platform, including myself. When i'm gone, my kids could stumble on this. Your kids might, as well. It's fun to know that this fun won't end with our generation, but we would miss the trends we created in our time. Hopefully, when we are all gone, we could have Seun give us another Nairaland in heaven where we can monitor fuel price and the fights between Dino Melaye's grand son and Remi Tinubu's grand daughter in the Senate. It would be priceless to have sweet articles on the frontpage like "Nairaland Celebrates its 200th year anniversary". Regardless of the hilarious roles we all might have assumed here on nairaland in this generation - i'm talking of iPOB youths, wailing wailers, zombies, divas, fake data sellers, thread derailers, name checkers, vaseline gang....I hope we all get to reconnect as evolved beings in the future that awaits us after our demise. I'm really glad I haven't posted anything nasty under my topics 'cos It would be silly to let my grand children peg that kind of legacy on me when they find my monicker in my diary ![]() |

At a point in our lives, we must have been a victim of either police harassment or airport immigration officer's harassment. A couple of days back, a guy was sharing his ordeal on how the black men of the Nigerian Police Force arrested him for a funny crime "BUYING COW MEAT AT 7PM". I read from someone else how he was picked up right in front of his house and accused for "ILLEGAL STANDING". As regards the airport immigration guys, for those that are yet to travel out of the country - there is a trend with these guys. Once they realize you are holding a virgin passport, you must part with some money - at least 50USD (they accept any currency tho). The painful thing is that, these things will continue to happen because they always believe you are at their mercy. The challenging part is, when you decide to take this up legally, their colleagues corroborate whatever story they cook up against you as long as you have no solid evidence. You would wish you could make a recording of your encounter with them and get a good lawyer who can sue them and make them pay damages of up to 10 million naira. The truth is, you actually can - it is high time we started making ourselves millionaires from the indiscipline exhibited by these govt touts. I was discussing with a friend from Florida and she made me realize a couple of American citizens have actually been able to make the govt pay for the ill-mannerism of dirty cops all by using a spy glass. The technology is still very new around this part of the world, and as these touts would break your phone or recording equipment should they get the idea that you are up to something that might put them in trouble - A spyglass is just the perfect husband for these nasty wives of ours. Below are some pictures and I also found the product listed on Jumia for about 7k or thereabout. It is really fashionable and no one would suspect a thing as the camera lens is very very tiny. Records up to 5hrs at a go with a resolution of 1920 x 1080P and an expandable memory stick of 32GB. With this, we would pray to be harassed by these miscreants because it could go a long way in putting them in shape and also putting our bank accounts out of shape with the help of a very good LAWYER. Hope this helps...

Earlier today, the Oni of Ife and his Olori performed a mini ritual very close to the telephony giant's office in USA; AT & T. A few hours after they were spotted, customers of the firm trooped their official phone lines with complaints of network downtime. According to the Head of Media and Publicity for AT&T; its been a long time the firm has experienced such and speculations are surrounding the appearance of the Oni of Ife and his entourage in connection to the event that occurred at the firm. The Media boss was quoted saying "We believe Africans have a very strong heritage that cuts across boundaries that can not be logically understood, but we are open to dialogue with the royalty as regards what could have been. We promise to investigate this very soon and get the issues resolved in real time.'

Yesterday, multiple sources revealed that singer, Skales and his manager, Osagie Osarenkhoe are in police detention after being invited to clarify allegations of fraud levelled against them by their record label, Baseline Music. While the whole messy drama continues, it has been revealed that Skales contract with Baseline Records states that the label will receive 70 percent of his earnings! In other words, Skales was to get 30% of his earning AFTER deduction of costs! An unconfirmed report also states that he can only leave the label if he pays them the sum of £10,000,000!
