Primary School Students Surprised A Corper With A Birthday Party - So Touching

A female Corper "Adedoyin Stella Maris" shared how her students threw a surprised birthday party for her and its epical and taking over the internet.

I really see courage, persistence and love in this story below. After seeing it, you can say what you think.

"Just In:
My pupils kept asking me of my birthday and I always tell them it has passed....they were mumbling and I apologized for not telling them.....
last week they asked again and I said it's in December...
Today:
My pupils: Aunty!...your birthday!
Me: (almost getting frustrated) he he.. I said it has passed!
My pupils: No aunty!..we will do it today..
(Muhammed brought out the saucers and mug..I returned it tho)
Evelyn brought out cornflakes, milk and sugar...(we all ate it together)
Serah brought out the money they contributed)..
Meshocked) are you all serious?!...you should keep your pocket money!..Noo....how much are you collecting?
My pupils: Aunty pleaasssse allow uuuus!...we will buy things at break
When I allowed them, this happened......"

Most Corp members would have a pre-plan that they will be saving 10k out of the #19,800 allowee during their service year and be spending the #9,800 to keep up.

If you are saving #10,000 every months and spending #9,800, in 11 months you would have SAVED:"#110, 000" and SPENT :"107, 800"

The issue now is saving that amount. Most people are only left with the last double allowee after POP.

The question is "What are the things making it so hard for Corp members to even save during NYSC year?

National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, has urged Corps Members to maximize the abundant opportunities of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) in the Scheme to create jobs and become employers of labour.

He stated this today at Delta State Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government area of the state, while addressing the 2017 Batch 'B' Stream Two Corps Members deployed to Edo and Delta States after their swearing-in ceremony.

Kazaure said job creation is the only panacea to the increasing rate of unemployment in the country.

He also advised the Corps Members to be patriotic to the ideals of a united Nigeria, shun all forms of social vices and respect the culture of their host communities.

The NYSC boss said, 'Avoid indecent dressing, dress like graduates and be security conscious at all times'.

During the swearing-in ceremony earlier in the day, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who was represented by his deputy, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro, advised the Corps Members to leave indelible footprints in the state through the provision of developmental projects.

He also urged them to integrate fully with their host communities and learn new cultural values.

Delta State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Omotade, in his introductory address said all camp activities have been progressing without hitch.

He enjoined the Corps Members to be solution providers in the course of their service year and beyond.

Omotade equally urged them to see their call to national service as a call to duty and also an avenue to contribute their quota to the development of their respective states of deployment and the county at large.

He stated that a total of One thousand, five hundred and eighty-nine Corps Members (1,589) comprising seven hundred and seventy-six (776) males and eight hundred and thirteen (813) females were registered for Delta State while Edo State has eight hundred and sixty-eight (868) Corps Members comprising four hundred and eighty-one (481) males and three hundred and eighty-seven (387) females.

The Orientation Course has been packaged to, among other things, introduce you to the objectives and programmes of the NYSC; prepare you for the challenges of the service year and post-service life; as well as acquaint you with your new socio-cultural environment.

You will find all camp activities not only exciting, but also rewarding. They include leadership lectures, entrepreneurial training, parade drills, Man 'O’ War training, sports, social and cultural activities, amongst others.

These activities are geared towards making you self-reliant, patriotic, disciplined, focused and responsible leaders.

Be sure you participate actively in the activities, comport yourselves always, cooperate with officials and obey all rules and regulations governing your stay in camp.

Management has put in place all necessary measures to ensure the safety and general welfare of all Corps members in the camps.

The NYSC management announced via their official social media accounts that there will be some changes to the orientation exercise in Benue state and Taraba state.

Hear from them below:

"The NYSC management wishes to inform all prospective Corps members deployed to Benue and Taraba states that the 2017 Batch B stream 2 orientation course scheduled to hold in Benue camp has been suspended. A new date will be communicated to you in due course. All inconveniences are highly regrettable.

The date of the NYSC 2016 batch B stream II orientation cam was announced as 16th of January last month. All prospective corp members started printing their call up letters on the 12th of this month.

For safety and security purpose, NYSC decided to hold the orientation Exercise in just 15 states across the country.

Prospective corps members posted to Taraba are supposed to hold their orientation camp at Benue state. However, with the recent attacks and unrest in Benue state, it became mandatory to postpone the orientation camp exercise to protect the lives of our prospective Corp members.

On the 11th of this month, just a day before the printing of call up letter was released, 73 bodies of victims of Fulani herdsmen attack in Benue state are being laid to rest in a mass burial service.

So please, dear prospective corp members posted to Benue and Tarabe should relax and wait for the new date. We cannot afford to lose the lives of our Corp members again.
