Atedo Peterside statistics and comments are always off points. How will Niger Republic airspace closure affects us when Nigerians don't use Niger airport and the number of air traffic and people doing business in Niger are very low.

Instead this will rather benefit Nigeria commercially because Niger borne air-flights will use Nigeria's airport and increase our revenue.

You don't understand the technicalities behind this....pilots will understand this because they will burn more fuel trying to avoid Niger airspace but instead find and use other route which may be longer in distance when compared to that of Niger inorder to get to their destination.

In today's world, many people are not at peace with themselves. They are always running in a vicious cycle (from pillar to post, running into one form of trouble or another). Many are sad, bitter, and battered because of past events. We want quick, ungodly solutions to our challenges, but these attitudes only make us live and leave in haste, putting unnecessary pressure on ourselves.

Irrespective of the challenge you find yourself in right now, refuse to mourn your situation; instead, break into shouts of joy over your ruins, knowing that the Lord our God will rescue and comfort you and all the world will see it.

Isaiah 52:8
Let the ruins of Jerusalem break into joyous song, for the Lord has comforted his people; he has redeemed his people.

In order not to live in haste, we have to put our regrets (mistakes or sins) in the past (they are unclean for us) and move towards the future.

Isaiah 52:11
......Put Babylon and all it represents behind you; they are unclean to you. You are the holy people of the Lord. Purify yourselves, all you people who carry home the vessels of the Lord.

God had promised to help us out of our Egypt or Babylon like he did to the Israelites in the days of old when we surrendered to him, trusting him to do so. He promised that we would not leave in haste, running for our lives, for God would go ahead of you and protect you from behind.

Isaiah 52:12
You shall not leave in haste, running for your lives; for the Lord will go ahead of you, and he, the God of Israel, will protect you from behind.

The Bible says in 1 cor 1:27 ''Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful''

God's ways are nothing compared with human ways, just as they are written in Isaiah 55:8-9 – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

In the world we live in today, there are many proud people that question God's instructions because they are very intelligent, experienced and more knowledgeable than God, their creator. Many years ago, down to the time of the prophet Moses, when the people of the Israelites had just left Egypt, God led the Israelites into the desert to continue their journey into the promised land.

While they were in the desert, the Israelites forgot about how God rescued them and became proud rebels to God's instructions. The Israelites rebelled against Moses and his God and, as a result, God decided to punish them right there in the desert by sending numerous poisonous snakes to strike them down.


Number 21:6 to 7

6... And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many people of Israel died.
7...Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us.
When too many people were dying as the result of snake bites, the proud rebellious Israelites decided to ask God for mercy through ''Moses'' God's prophet. God decided to show them mercy by sending them a messiah. God sent them the messiah that would cure the' snakes' poison in them. The messiah God sent the Israelites was not the type they were expecting. God instructed his Prophet ''Moses'' to do an unimaginable thing that would make no sense to the rebellious or freethinkers that dwell among the people. God instructed Moses to build a typical resembling image of the poisonous snake that had bitten them and hang it on a cross or pole, and also tell them '' saying, who whoever is bitten looks at the lifeless bronze image of the snake on the cross, believing that it's the Messiah ( God sent medicine ) to cure them would be cured from the poison and live.


At this point, the proud rebellious or freethinker amongst them, must have questioned Moses, on the sensibility of his action, asking him to point out the connecting factor between the ''healing medicine'' the people needed badly and the ''ordinary lifeless image'' of a snake hanging on a cross. These proud rebellious or freethinkers among the people of Israel must have rejected the messiah ( image of a snake hanging on a pole ordained by God to heal them ) and therefore sought help somewhere else. Remember God said those that looked on the image of the Snake Moses set up on the pole would live. This means not all the affected people ( bitten by a snake ) will obey and therefore the hardened rebellious freethinkers among them who will not obey this instruction will DIE.

Number 21: 8-9
The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then, when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.

THE SIMILARITIES

* Now just as the Israelites disobeyed God in the desert in the days of Moses and became sinners, so also the people that live in our present generation have all sinned against God.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

* Just as God showed the Israelites mercy when they sinned against Him after he had sent snakes to punish them, likewise God is also showing us ( this present generation ) mercy after he had punished us for our sins

* Just as God sent a messiah ( in form of liveless image of a snake hanging on a cross/pole ) to heal them of the effect of poison from the snake bite after he ( God ) had punished them, so also God sent our messiah to this present generation ( in form of God's son ''Jesus Christ'' hahanging on the cross ) to safe us from the effect of Satan or Devil's poisonous bites in this world.

Jesus Christ was sent by God to set humanity free from the negative effects of Satan or the Devil's wickedness and to give us eternal life with God.

* Just as some rebellious or Freethinkers within the people of Israel died after they refused to accept the messiah ( bronze image of a snake hanging on the cross / tree ) given to them by God to heal them after the snake bite, so also it is presently in our generation where some rebellious religious or freethinkers are consciously rejecting the messiah ( Jesus christ hung on the cross) God had sent to us to safe us from the poison of satan's bite. These set of rebellious people will face the consequences ( God's judgement) when the time comes.

He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.

These comforting words can apply to all of us as we seek to live a good life and overcome our own unique challenges. God understands human behavior clearly because he created us. He also knows all about Satan and the strategies he uses to fight human beings. God knows there will be times in our lives where the enemies will try us with great problems of life, which is meant to make us stronger if we follow his instruction that says, "Be strong and be of good courage."


We need boldness and courage to overcome the storms of life, which God has already given us. Jesus says resist the problem ( ''the devil, because the devil itself is the problem personified that happens to people) and it would flee.


James 4:7
Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you.


The word "resist in the statement refers to boldness and courage because it actually takes boldness and courage to resist the enemy (the problem). Many of us (those on God's side) have been conditioned by the devil to believe that we are alone in challenging times, which is contrary to the word of God, which says '' I am with you wherever you go''.  Therefore, boldness and courage to confront problems are our natural inheritance as children of God; let us ask for their activation in our lives.


Let us be bold and courageous to confront sickness to leave our bodies using the name of Jesus. You cannot say you have faith without boldness, and you cannot have boldness without faith. When you see faith, you will see boldness standing by its side. But when you see doubt, you see fear, both of which are weapons used by the devil. It takes courage and boldness for one to take possession from his enemies. The enemies won't give you your possessions if you don't demand them with boldness and courage, and remember, when you do this, you have the best of the best military back-up in the world (God).

My truth hurt churchians. That is what truth does. I tell you what is hidden from you. Your bible was copied from some ancient books. So it has errors, contradictions, allegory etc. It is "God's" word written by the wrong ppl. He is the lamb of God that will end sin in the world not your individual sins. This will happen when he comes. It is symbolic. The sacrifice is that of truth that will end lies, corruption, wickedness in the world. It has not happened cos all those things still happen. The person spoken in Isaiah 53 is not messiah or christ. Do you care to know? The lamb of God is the Passover not the Atonement. It is the later that will end sin in the world this endtime. You ppl are in error
