gazmann:Ponder the following: 1. Has it occurred to you that before that Toyota corolla thread which has been hidden, but which I have copies of, I didn't really bother with his adverts? Almost never even looked deeper at them? 2. Did you ever notice that before that same Toyota corolla thread, nobody really bothered him for VIN, as they bothered the rest of the sellers in this section? 3. On the thread created by explore.rs months ago based on the activities in this section, I mentioned this seller multiple times as an ideal example of a seller to emulate. 4. Go through his threads and you will find comments left by me showing support for his adverts, months ago. 5. Do you realise the actual issue that broke the dam for him was when he taunted Jodecibmw to provide photos for that corolla on that thread, and I took it upon myself to step in and salvage that situation? 6. You saw that thread, and I will provide images of it if you don't recall, but I do know you left comments there in support of him. Do you recall when an appeal was made to him to end the situation before it went any further? I made that appeal. But his pride has consistently proven to be his undoing. It will not let him admit wrongdoing. 7. I for one have placed much stock in his adverts in the past, unbeknownst to him I did look into a few of them, got the VIN, and did not make any findings contrary to his statements about the vehicles. 8. Where things came to a head were on the thread below when I came across a clear case of misrepresentation about a vehicle, either lack of due diligence by him in knowing the history of vehicles he advertised, or wilful misrepresentation. https://www.nairaland.com/4483152/accident-free-2015-toyota-camry Go through that thread again. When you do, keep the following in mind: 1. The primary reason he developed a sort of special status here was that he could be relied on to accurately and truthfully represent his cars as they truly are. 2. He has stated over and over that he does not care about vehicle history and only focuses on its current state or condition. 3. If the above were true, don't you realize that directly contradicts the position in 1 above? If he doesn't know a vehicle's past, or doesn't factor it into his decisions, as he has stated, how then do we take his word for it when he claims a vehicle is accident free, or clean titled? |
Smh I can afford the luxury.

EgunMogaji:Baba Egun, salutations this hour ![]() This was a 2004 Mazda 6, it was indeed imported to Nigeria in 2013 with a rebuilt salvage title, had a Texas-issued VTR-441. Was involved in a collision in Austin in 2012, moderate reported damage. Retitled afterwards though.
|
HeavenlyBang:It would appear so. |
Quick! Someone check the cages! The dogs are loose again ![]() |
FastShipping:If you indeed spent any time following this movement, you wouldnt go ahead to type all of this. This is all totally irrelevant to the issues. All that about the buyers asking and not me, etc etc etc are just irrelevant. This Is a public forum, and you bet I, and anyone else who so wishes, will make those VIN requests. If you have a problem with them, provide the VIN. As I have stated over and over again, I have no problems with importing accidented or salvaged vehicles. None. As long as they are not flood damaged. Majority of the vehicles with the VIN displayed in the adverts in this section right now, are accidented and/or salvaged. But as long as the VIN is included, I will not make any further comments. Unless the vehicles are flood damaged. My problem is with these vehicles being advertised falsely and misrepresented. I will ask you one simple question. https://www.nairaland.com/4483152/accident-free-2015-toyota-camry Go through the thread above. Is that Vehicle accident free, as the seller stated boldly? PS Let it be clear to you that you should at least attempt to understand situations before you weigh in. Doing otherwise just makes your contribution seem random. |

foolbuster:The above is what happens when you want to pander to someone in an obsequious manner but want to be seen as being on the right side of things. It's okay, we all have people we look up to. ![]() To clarify, I have nothing against the landlord or any other landlord here. I do not know or wish to know anyone here personally, the sum of my judgement and impressions are gained from interactions here, on this forum. Go through my posts if you care to and you will see that I was once a champion for the landlord here. I used his adverts as a standard, I commended him on his apparent practises. Where things went wrong were on the Toyota corolla thread when he taunted Jodecibmw and some compatriots, and I had to come to their defence. His pride didn't let him accept the truth about the interaction and here we are, weeks later. Mr landlord, I don't really care about you personally. In my line of work holding a grudge is a dangerous thing. I hold no grudges, or none that you should concern yourself with anyway. If you will continue to focus on your business and remain transparent and cease to taunt compatriots, when I see some issues with your adverts, I will point them out politely, and move on. The same as I do for any other advert I visit in this section. About my motives and intentions etc, you are entitled to your opinions and impressions. They mean very little to me. Insignificant ![]() As for the rest of the torchbearers and panderers, may you all get what you deserve ![]() |
Clean Title, Accident free.

As for the 'exaggerated' report and your insistence that you do not care about vehicle history, and that it is not a factor in your purchases, well good luck with that. It has gotten you in trouble with your dishonest and false claims before, and I have a feeling it will again. The next time you claim a vehicle is accident free or has a clean title and it is found not to be the case, well those findings will also be brought to that thread and made known. I have already spotted one of those. You can count on that as well. |
I will certainly ask politely. And If you refuse, I will find it, and I will provide it right there on your thread. You can count on that. |
How much for the Timbs? Size, color and location please. |
I also noticed you tried to hide the VIN in the screenshot. The VIN is 4T1BK46K98U565236
|
I hope that clears up your confusion. |
1. What's the VIN of your Vehicle? If it's from Canada, it's likely in KM. If it's from the USA, it's likely in Miles. 2. What is the primary/larger unit of the speedometer on the dash display? If it's calibrated in KM, the trip computer and everything else will be in KM. If it's in miles, everything else is in miles. Below are the speedometers from two 2007 Toyota Yaris from Canada. Note the primary unit of the speedometer. It's in KM. The trip computer and everything else would be in KM https://cs.copart.com/v1/AUTH_svc.pdoc00001/PIX125/f193b0ee-c511-445d-a7a8-592ed9012d60.JPG https://cs.copart.com/v1/AUTH_svc.pdoc00001/PIX133/b1a57a76-299d-4601-8721-eec40b9e20f4.JPG Below is a 2007 Toyota Yaris speedometer. This is from the middle East. This is calibrated exclusively in KM. https://cs.copart.com/v1/AUTH_svc.pdoc00001/PIX106/b3dfd31a-b3d5-4983-89af-e5fcc4249c28.JPG Below are 2 speedometers from 2007 Toyota Yaris from the US. They are calibrated in miles, so everything else is in miles. https://cs.copart.com/v1/AUTH_svc.pdoc00001/PIX64/fff549a1-36a3-4b40-bb32-686d1837d5c7.JPG https://cs.copart.com/v1/AUTH_svc.pdoc00001/PIX129/73847162-b83b-4e14-85d8-2d8d21923cb0.JPG |
The screenshot you posted actually refers to the 2008 Toyota Camry in the thread below, not the link you posted. You made a mistake there. https://www.nairaland.com/4359201/tin-can-cleared-2008-toyota-camry Note the mileage in the auction pictures.
|
I ask because if the screenshot you posted was in reference to the primary 2007 Toyota Camry advertised in the link you posted, https://www.nairaland.com/4389998/sold-tin-can-cleared-2007-toyota then something is wrong, because you stated the actual mileage of that 2007 camry as 114,120 miles, and there is an auction picture of the odometer with 114,038 miles confirming the mileage you stated as correct. However in this screenshot the vehicle had 123,284 miles as at December 2017, so it does not match the main 2007 Toyota Camry in that advert in the link you posted. Perhaps the screenshot is for another vehicle besides the main vehicle in that thread, or for another vehicle entirely? |
calculusx:Can I ask which of the vehicles in the link you posted, this screenshot you posted belongs to? There are several vehicles in the thread in that link. |
HeavenlyBang:He/she certainly is. Diagnostic tool, but no VIN report? Talk about putting the cart before the horse. What do I even know sef |
Excerpts from the hidden corolla thread where his dishonesty was originally discovered.

As I recall it was this pride and love for irrelevant connections like Mexicans and Dominicans and now Cheki and OLX that got him in trouble in the first place. The same taunts directed at Jodecibmw, he assumed his dishonesty would never be found out. Even classified some individuals as learners, until he got schooled and taught a bitter lesson. ![]() Just a quick reminder, the thread will remain for posterity. https://www.nairaland.com/4483152/accident-free-2015-toyota-camry Read and understand. |
calculusx:Baba Obasanjo himself may have to beg you to return the next time. Google may have to offer you free email storage too. No worries. As long as you continue down your chosen path, you will end up as the rest have. Go and read Olanshi's response to a similar situation on this thread below: https://www.nairaland.com/4511406/tokunbo-2012-mercedes-benz-gl450 That, my kind Sir, is how a gentleman and a truly honest individual responds. ![]() And until such a time as it is deemed concluded, in the words of the founder, Seun: |
![]() It's only a matter of time. Your pride will get you in trouble again. The next time you may need more than 2 weeks off this forum to recover. ![]() Not even the Mexicans would help you then. I will be watching. |
If I stated that this moldy looking interior was reminiscent of severe water damage, I bet you wouldn't appreciate it. Please provide the VIN. Thank you. |
