The much anticipated Cardi B in Ghana concert ‘ended in tears’ as music enthusiasts present at the show had to gather their last respect by boycotting the event due to the failure of organizers to address the crowd after Cardi B’s performance.

Technical challenges together with poor lighting crippled the event at the Accra Sports Stadium. When the main artiste of the event, Cardi B took to stage.

N’Delta youths give IPOB 7 days to apologize over attack on Rotimi Amaechi or risk destruction of Igbo properties in Ikwerre land


Days after the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) claimed responsiblity over the near-attack against former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, Niger Delta youths under the auspices of Concerned Youths of Niger Delta (CYND) have threatened to destroy properties owned by Igbos in Ikwerre land if an apology is not issued by the proscribed secessionist group.



The youth group drawn from the six Niger Delta states of Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Cross River and Edo described the attack as a ‘national embarrassment'.



In a statement issued by the groups's National Coordinator Commander Chikaru Oronda Ndamati, the Niger Delta Youths who gave IPOB 7 days to issue the apology to Rotimi Amaechi added that they will appeal to the Federal Government “to take the matter before the international community to compel world leaders to always beef up security around Nigerian leaders on foreign trips”.



The statement read in parts;



“The IPOB should remember that all the Igbos in South-South have and do businesses in Rivers state particularly in Ikwere land, which happens to be Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s ethnic nationality.

“We are going to destroy all the Igbo properties in Ikwere land and Niger Delta if they try it again. Ikwere ethnic nationality has four Local Government Areas in Rivers state including Port Harcourt City, Obio Akpor, Emohua and Ikwere Echie Local Governments.

“Having accepted the responsibility of the attack on Amaechi in Spain, IPOB should also be ready to take full responsibility for any reaction that will come out from their dastardly act if IPOB fails to tender apology within seven days.”

Why should a criminal serving a jail time for looting billions of state funds recieve salaries and allowances?? Why should he even be a senator in the first place What is actually wrong with us a nation?

The Nigerian senate has disclosed that its Chief Whip and convicted former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu will received his full salaries and allowances in prison until the Supreme Court backs the judgement issued by the Federal High Court days ago.



Nigerian Senate's spokesperson, Godiya Akwashiki told Premium Times that though the Senator representing Abia North won't be performing any legislative function from prison, he is still a sitting senator.



He said;

“He is still a senator. This is the first court. The matter is going to Supreme Court so, he still has the opportunity to appeal up to the Supreme Court level.

“Of course they will pay him. Because he is a sitting senator just like I said…if you file for appeal, you are still serving and so they will pay you.

“All his entitlements will be paid. There is no cause for alarm. In fact, even if Court of Appeal says they have upheld the judgement of the lower court, he still has the right to go to Supreme Court. So once the Supreme Court says, yes, the judgement is okay, then that’s the final."



This is coming after he told newsmen that Kalu's seat won't be declared vacant.
