Thesee days I wake up with a fresh outlook on life, I’m pretty sure it has all to do with the incoming administration and the breath of change that is all around. Don’t worry, we aren’t talking politics today but I just feel like I should spread this cheer all around.

If you aren’t excited about the possibility of a new Nigeria (which won’t happen in 4 years by the way), then maybe we should start processing change of nationality for you.

Moving on anyway, I recently saw this piece that caught me thinking so I decided to spin it and share my views. Today, we talk to our ladies. I know it is commonplace for our babes to wonder the things about them that we love, mostly because as guys, we are hardly vocal about these things. But I’m going to go into snitch mode today and spill.

1. The way you lean in and maintain eye contact when we are having a conversation with you. This shows interest in what we are saying. Although some of you just have the ability to be looking unshaken like Agege bread.

2. Your make up process. No for real, though we hate waiting for you to get ready, we actually love the effort you put into this event. (Yes, it is an entire event). We love when you ask us what lipstick you should use and if your eyebrows are fleeky enough. We may not fully understand the difference between Ruby Woo and Matte lipsticks but if we say it’s fine, please, just accept that it is.

3. When you touch us at random times; your hand on us while we’re driving, an unexpected hug from behind while we’re probably trying to kill the spider you spotted on the wall. Physical touch is a nice way to communicate your feelings and yeah, even if we claim to be too macho for emotions, this really gets us going.

4. Burrowing into us when we’re cuddling. See ehn, this is better than hot jollof rice and goat meat with salad on a Sunday afternoon. But let me use this opportunity to say this; while we enjoy cuddling and your head resting on our arm, there’s one time in the cuddle process that blood stops flowing. This is not the time to ask us “Are you okay?” What do you expect us to say? “No?” Just use your church mind and move to our chest, it’s less painful. Generally though, few things make us feel as good as when you snuggle into us. It’s one of the best ways to say, “I love you.”

5. The goodbye kiss. When we are heading off to work, to chill with the boys, back to our cribs or generally just leaving your presence. It’s a heartfelt gesture that’s amazing, it basically seems to say, “I know I’ll see you later, but have this for now.”

6. That look and smile when you’re going down on us and you can see/hear our enjoyment. Yes, we understand that going down might not be top on your list of preferred activities but little things like this are really sweet in a sexual way. It reminds us that you like to make us happy. Please keep making us happy.

7. Buying us stuff. There’s literally nothing better than someone complimenting our shirt or our watch so that we can say, “Thanks, my girlfriend got it for me.” NOTHING. IT’S THE BEST FEELING. Enough said.

8. The way you grab our hand during a scary movie. This makes us feel great that you reach for us reflexively when you’re momentarily panicked. Please ignore the fact that we are lowkey scared as well. Someone has to be the man. This also does not mean that when someone says robbers are around, you will now expect us to be the one to face them. We have home training abeg,

9. Get excited about our passions. Taking an interest in what we do, our dreams and the things we love will forever be sexy. It also provides content for gist between us. An extension of this is supporting our football club, the jury is still out on this one though so I’m not sure what the ruling is.

So that’s basically my list ladies, I doubt your men are major different from me so there will possibly be lots of similarities. If you don’t do any of the things on the list, I’m pretty sure you’re facing a rough patch with your partner. Don’t vex and start tossing stones at me, pick the points and add them to your life.
