Godswillu: If you have a small business of your own you will understand. The cost of doing business is on the high side and at the end of the month it will look as if the workers have not work to end the pay. But at the end of the month, salary will need to be paid. Why will they employed more than what they can comfortably cater for? Staffs welfare(salary) is never a thing of importance in business plan here in Nigeria. |

She obviously still has something she is falling back on.
When the business overheads continuously starts to triple the company’s generated income and she starts to pay staffs through bank loans rather than laying them off out of sentiments, then you will know survival of her business is more important that the happiness of her staff. so they should be owing workers instead of doing the needful! because you dey run at loss as a company, me sef suppose join you run my salary at loss? na you born me? na you dey pay my rent, feeding, carry family responsibilities etc. why don't dey free some staff and ädd the responsibilities to remaining once and also add something to their salary, you will see how much they would have saved.. STOP THE WICKEDNESS! slave master no do pass this one. |

inoki247: The thing we mostly av increments on are things been transported with Petrol like Farm produce...
Go check doz previous years Petrol doesn't affect produce been made with diesel nd transported with diesel...
When Petrol was 87naira 50cl Coke was been sold for 100naira when Buhari adjust the rate it was still being sold for 100naira not until after Covid when Diesel start jumping up it went to 150 from 150 to 200.
So tell me how petrol will ditact for product being made with diesel if petrol jumps to 30Naira per liter and diesel is still at 700+ du u think coke will sell for 100naira... sincerely, I rest my case. yours truly, Cowboyt. |

frankadrian: I lived in Ghana for over a decade. I might know a thing or two about the country. It's a very calm place. The people are nice and peace-loving but there's a deep seated dislike or maybe envy towards Nigerians, although that's not something you're likely to experience if you live decently. Electricity is stable like you probably already know. Water supply is constant. Rent is exorbitant.
Since you have a means of income and a place to stay, I'd say go have a feel, after one year you'll have enough experience to decide if it's a good fit or not. Just watch out for costs. It runs pretty high. Your money disappears into thin air in Ghana. Everything is just that expensive and reward to expense ratio is poor.
All in all, all the best. I hardly think the country is a place you can thrive if you strictly do legit work. But destinies differ.
Cheers thanks a lot sir |

frankadrian: If you THINK Nigeria is bad, no try Ghana. As you didn't ask about rent, source of income etc, I suppose you already have a solid plan.
But the inflation in Ghana is mad. Cost of living is so high even people wey get money dey vex. So shine your eyes as you dey go. God be with you. really appreciate ur contribution, but concerning rent, work and stuffs, that one has being taken care of, just what I need is a first hand experience from a resident or anyone who's frequent in Ghana. |

You will pay more for water, electricity, fuel, etc there compare to Nigeria. expensive in what sense pls, I think if you earn in Naira, you should calculate n transact in naira, same thing with other currencies, use Benin Rep(cefas/franc) currency to calculate ur expenses in Benin Rep. |

Career › Re: At What Point Should A Man Stop Working For Salary? by cowboyT: 9:54am On Jul 28, 2021 |
YOU just nail it straight. salary can never gives freedom, the job security it gives back then in the 80s and 90s is not guaranteed anymore. Focusmind: When you have mastered a trade, skill or a specialist in certain field
when I started my corporate work at 25, I told myself that I would have my own hustle by 40. The stress that investment banking work brought on me was too much. Waking up by 4:30am and coming back by 10pm. The rat race was simply too much and was taking so much on my mental and emotional well being, even though the pay package and other emoluments were good.It provided me with all the necessities of life and I was financially doing relatively ok.
I registered my own consulting company by the side and was waiting when the side hustle could pay at least 50% of my total salary. That never came to pass as the Solo Consulting space itself is even competitive. Most jobs came through referral. I never got any consulting job based on submission of application. By 2016, I couldn't take it again and resigned to face my solo consulting. This is the fifth year and, I am yet to gross the annual salary I enjoyed when I was still working.
Any regret? No. I have my peace, wake up at my own time, visit my parents and enjoy good moments with loved ones during the weekends without considering the impending coming Monday. I am on my bed typing this, reviewing a document sent to me by a client. My mental and physical health is top-notch and I have developed myself beyond my imagination. Money wise, I am still far from getting what my corporate employment paid but I am far happier now than when I was working in the bank. |

OnionBandit: Desperate times call for desperate measures
This is what Nigeria needs at the moment. If you give these protesters an inch, they will take 10 yards. The security agents are on social media too and can see your posts. I have seen posts by intending protesters where guns and bullets were displayed with threats of violence.
People nowadays see protests as avenue to loot both public and PRIVATE properties. Every tool known to be good gets a different use (evil) when it gets to this part of the world.
Until Nigerians change, Nigeria will forever remain the same....or even get worse by the day Oga, so what is the point you are making |
