this is not a tale by moonlight bro nor was I told i witnessed the war myself. You can ask about ilaje people from ondo state and the war that took place there. I'm from ilaje the riverrine area and I grew up there.
Sometimes used to think, I grew up in a war zone, where odeshi(juju) is being tested openly. All the male child of our city were fortified openly and once they fortified you, you will be tested with gun. I witnessed how some of my homies were tested and bullets couldn't penetrate them. Sometimes I laughed at some people here that always claim there's nothing like juju or terrestrial forces, omo they're real. In this small world, what you don't know is more than what you know. Though I did it but I was never tested my mom feared no go ever gree.
The war turned almost everybody to daredevils and gangsters. Almost everybody get gun or sabi shoot gun, including me was given an SMG-MP5 I sabi use the gun wella. We have access to many sophisticated weapons, like say we want buy indomie.

I missed my brother in-law that died in the war, my sister warned him not to go to war but he never listened, he was a very brave dude but unfortunately he was killed, he was macheted by the ijaws when bullets couldn't penetrate him.
He wasn't aware his mates already retreated and only him dey the battle. May peace be upon him omo war isn't good for nobody

Yes o ijaws are trouble makers and natural land grabbers. Around 1999-2007 there was war between we ilaje from ondo state and the ijaws, they wanted to claim our ancestral land but we showed them and their egberisus.
The war was fierce face to face gun battle and it went on for years so many life were lost during those years I no fit forget.
When you wake up dead bodies here and there, all my homies take up arms to defend themselves.
Some of my homies died. I was given and trained how to use SMG-Machine gun during the war but my mom trashed those guns and took us out of the city around okitipupa ondo state for safety. If not I would have been dead by now, omo you guys get many sophisticated weapons o. Those ijaw get guns but we get odeshi, our own odeshi was called WAMA while theirs was EGBERISU one small boy go just dey in front of their boat dey swallow our bullets. Later on we discovered the weakness of the egberisu and captured it, we took the war to them in their land killed thousands of them. That was how they surrendered though they also killed many ilaje too casualty on both sides. Government couldn't interfere, I could remember when government brought in soldiers to quench the war only few of them returned because it was not a terrestrial war meant for soldiers....
It was war on water using different type of boats. E no easy they later surrendered Sha and we became friends but we don't sleep with 2 eyes closed.
