Ever heard of the term "Veiled Testimony', rape accusuation and the likes are still in contention in some countries but you can't tell me she is obligated to show her face under any circumstance.

This is simple. I want to see the face of my accuser in order to tell my whole side of the story. OK, u blurred ur face (maybe she has face rash) but y the name. Let me know my accuser to prepare my defence.

Adultery isn't a crime, but Rape is. If I stole something from you and you knew it but cant prove it you know that doesnt mean it didnt happen. Busola was 17 years, a minor by most standards and this man just took advantage of her. it's not like she was propositioning him. He violated her consent because of the influence he had on her. Exactly. What led to her outburst was because of someone accusing her of sleeping with COZA pastors. I'm sure Timi wasn't even aware that she had a sort of relationship with the pastor and he has had some issues with this pastor which made him leave the church. She just tried to clear her name by shouting rape. I feel she is trying to save her marriage.

most states have statutes of limitation on rape, besides it's complicated in Nigeria. At the time of the alleged rape, Age of sexual consent in Nigeria was 11, it was only changed to 18 in 2015. 2ndly, there is no physical evidence. It's not like she reported to Police at that time and they took a statement, she didnt go to hospital for a rape examination... There are no evidences for a criminal rape trial so she can't win in any court. So it's pointless. she can only warn others of the serial sexual predator the man is. She can also tarnish his image. The onus is now on him to finish her and make her an example if she were lying. That N1b in damages if the man is truly innocent. But this man is as guilty as hell, any attempt to take Busola to court will bring out all the other people he has taken advantage off that are still keeping quiet... All of a sudden from 5 cases the number can rise to 30 quickly and that is why the man will just mellow. No innocent man sits by as his reputation is destroyed.

He might be guilty of adultery. But RAPE? That's another thing.

But Fatoyinbo's refusal to sue for defamation means he is surely guilty. How can a woman be dragging your name and reputation in the mud and you are truly innocent without any kind of fight back. His image is forever tarnished and if you are truly innocent you would have to make an example of Busola. Since he's doing nothing it shows he's guilty. Going to court risks exposing more secrets, there are 5 known cases now and many more may still appear

Even if it happened 50years ago, if she can prove beyond reasonable doubt, she has every right to sue. Look at the case of R Kelly. Even after so many years, they sued him right before going to social media.

I am surprised that a someone called u a lawyer but u can't simply argue a case and then u enter insult mode. I won't go down that path with u. My reasoning is adequate. What is stopping someone from bringing down a public figure as u have called the accused to do anything possible even if its illegal to achieve his/her aim? Someone accused me. U blurred the persons picture and u named the person Mrs X. And the person cant report me to the authorities but chose social media knowing full well how judgemental Nigerians can be ( I suppose including @ safarigirl)

Everyone knows that pastor biodun had sex with busayo. The question here is was it r.ape or consensual sex. Cos I believe that if indeed she was r,aped she shouldn't have had anything to do with the pastor in question.

Her continued presence in the church, and even allowing the pastor join her and her husband in holy matrimony after the incident speaks volumes.

My take.

1. They both had sex.

2. She was pissed of after the first sex but kept quite maybe because the guy in question was her pastor.

3. She developed likeness for him, something he noticed which made him come back for more romps.

4. The relationship went sour at some point which made the pastor regain his full pastoral authority over her. Maybe that was during the time she got pregnant for her current husband.

5. She confined in him after the second pregnancy. He suspended her, and he advised her to get married to the father of the baby.

6. He bought her a car gift and wedded them personally in his church to settle her off.

7. She resurfaced years later and began to claim she was r.aped.

From this I believe it's safe to conclude that if pastor biodun should be scolded it should be for fornication and not r,ape

Now on the issue of apologizing, would you apologize to a girl you had consensual sex with, married her in your church to her husband, gifted her with a car?

What exactly would you be apologizing for?

That ur point No 1 get as e be. If she was pissed off about the 1st act, then its two things. 1. She was forced which equals rape. 2. She was disappointed cos her expectations about first time sex was dashed. Perhaps she expected more acrobatics from the pastor

Fact finding is the least of her focus in the post. It was largely about righting the wrongs and she apologized. Why would she apologize if she has no hint of a thing? Why do you think she mentioned 'forms of abuse'?

She has stopped going to the church since that incident, I don't know why people r saying she still attend the church, if u watch d video, she didn't kept quite about it, her family knew and some church pastors,but they kept it secret. In some months ago, that same pastor was alleged of rape they silent them as usual, Bukola used that opportunity to speak up, now people r blaming her.

He meted out predaceous acts against her for many years, not rape - it's literally worse than rape though. His actions and inactions damaged her emotionally, psychologically and morally. Meaningful physical evidence isn't obtainable in a case like this.
