I support Cabaye. Where is a protest done without adequate information? For me I'd like those who want to protest to go to nddc first because we can't protest blindly. If anyone goes to nddc and then gets a response, the person can furnish us with the information gotten and we can them wield our axe and strike. Now let me tell y'all some steps I've taken cos I don't come to talk always, I called the AIT dude and he said what do we want to protest for, that they called for the exams and interview and it's not like we paid any amount of money, that it wasn't right, I tried insisting and he clearly got fed and said I should email him and he gave me his mail, he also asked if we've gone to nddc office for a feedback and I said no. I have connections in NTA Phc, I've spoken to Ms Daoju, Vivian and Vicki, I met with the Zonal Director just yesterday and he discouraged against it also. He said they can't publish when I haven't even heard from them to find out anything. That it isn't right.
The honest truth is this, let someone go to nddc, whatever nddc tells the person, the person will tell us so that when we are constructing the letter, we would also insert the response or feedback we got from them. There's no need to be aggressive about this thing, when someone goes, comes with a feedback, we will write a peaceful letter asking for proper answers. Thanks.

Thanks very much for the insight. So, for me, I think we should go with his suggestions. For those in PH, can we get like 3-4 pple who can visit NDDC office hopefully next week. Also if anyone have other suggestions how best we can go about this plz feel free to share it.
The new plan is to visit NDDC next week, based on the feedback we get, we can now make an effective decision on what next to do.

the truth is that we cannot share this thread with you protesters that do not really know the state of things happening in Nddc, if you did, you wouldn't be thinking of this protest that you folks don't even know how to organize talk less of executing it. please try to visit nddc office for enquiries on Thursdays before you protest. its not necessarily you know somebody there.

Bethiano aired his opinion this morning in a respectful manner unlike in his previous posts and I admire him for that.

I went through the thread and made a list of those who are PRO or ANTI the struggle or protest. We have 10 people in favour of the protest, against 4 people , 2 people are indifferent.

I will keep updating the list as members declare their stand.

Pls the contribution will be for a period of time, maximum- 24hours, after which, emmabc1, attorney1law and I, will send it to the necessary media houses. Better still, every pro-struggle member will send to all our media contacts.

Then, every pro-struggle member will now contact radio houses, call in on programmes that will send the information out.

Note we are intellectuals, let's do this in the most organised and legitimate way.
"Oga lawyer" please watch our actions and confirm its in line with the laws of the land. The only way to win this kind of war is to use the openings or lacuna in the law and circumvent the authorities, else they crush our efforts if its not based on the law.

Emmabc1, what if you see away around the twitter thing. Maybe you try and reconstruct the tweet, to something less controversial, but direct to the point.

One thing you guys need to know is that, until the list is officially out, DON'T BE OVER CONFIDENT THAT YOUR NAME IS ON THE LIST.

Whatever approach you choose to get answers from NDDC, do it peacefully with respect to individual decisions. You can't bully or cajole people to join your fight.

I don't have anyone in power or at the top. I've always rely on God and my qualities for this scholarship. But I can never curse anyone or their parents BC of that.
Besides, how sure are you your name is not on the list.
You are just tensed and anxious over this scholarship and gradually you are turning it into bitterness and its not healthy for you.

gud morning my fellow anticipated scholars. pls join hands with me in thanking God for his blessing upon my life. Guys, I was promoted in ma place of work yesterday. we took the promotion exam since May dis year and the final list was released yesterday. On this note, I wish 2 officially inform this wonderful and honourable house that I am forfeiting the NDDC scholarship. I need 2 be with my family and face the new task just given to me. I needed d scholarship to help me attain the level I hav just attained. 2 get 2 dis level, u must have a Masters or work 4 atleast 4yrs and pass d promotion exam. Pls guys, rejoice with me. we were over 400 nation wide with just 32 vacancies and 2 God be all Glory, I was among.

i'll now enroll with NOUN and do my MSc online cos I know I'll be transferred very soon. I wish everyone here success. I wish and Pray that my slot can be given to someone else who really needs it cos I am no longer interested.

At a recent orientation for 160 beneficiaries of a Federal Government scholarship scheme for students from the Niger Delta, it was noted, that no fewer than 2, 536 Niger Delta youths are currently, pursuing undergraduate degrees in different institutions of higher learning across the world. While 138 of the new beneficiaries will be pursuing first degrees in the United States, the remaining 22 have secured admission to study in the United Kingdom.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Kingsley Kuku, has recorded some level of success as the students are said to be excelling in various universities abroad. It is on record that 24 out the 40 Niger Delta students on scholarship at the Alabama State University have already bagged first degrees of the institution in April; 11 of these graduates, however, made the President’s list as best performing students and are recognized as “worthy ambassadors of their fatherland”.
While giving access to quality education, the initiative is a step in the right direction to enhancing human capital development in the Niger Delta.
