You can write that she's coming to spend her annual leave with your family. You can add that having a new baby in Canada is a new and difficult experience for you especially being far away from home and that having a support system during the period will really go a long way for you and your family. Don't forget to add your baby's birth certificate

I submitted the form for my in-laws passport return and we received this message 6days after.

The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. *** has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Canada Visa Application Centre, Lagos on ***. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do not reply to this email.

What does this mean as they are yet to receive the passport and it's only the principal applicant that received this.

Anyone with similar experience, do they usually send all passports in the application together or separately. I made payment for both and submitted forms for both.

My passport has been sent via ups but ups refused to release it to me and asked for a slip from vfs or a tracking id and i have none of these i have tried severally to reach vfs but still awaiting a response please who can help out.

I don't think their phone number is working for some time now. Have you tried sending an email.

PS: which vfs office did you use and when did you complete the passport return form. Submitted for my in-laws since one week now no response from them. Not even to acknowledge the receipt of payment

Ah, what's happening na. I just sent them the one for my in-laws on Monday and nothing yet, I hope they sort out whatever that is causing the delay soon.

Notification that they gotten my passport back from IRCC.

Later got mail that I will get my package through their courier.

I filled their attached form for courier and paid the required fee of #10,150.

Now expecting the package.

I believe you can get your visa without knowing anyone in Canada. You just need to have a strong tie back in Nigeria. Just state you are coming for vacation but then winter is not a good time for vacation here. You might as well tell them it's next year summer that you plan to come

Actually there is really no sequence, but an arrangement and classification will be very essential

To the best of my knowledge, they are not the same so you need to start a new application for the student visa.

please I need advise.


Applied for TRV in 2019 but was denied on the basis of insufficient funds, purpose of visit and travel history.


I recent just got a UK plus Turkey visiting visa and was meant to travel next week ( to address the Travel history bit) but because of the lock down I cancelled this.


I intend to apply again to Canada by end of Apr(stating purely tourism) whilst addressing eveyother previously stated reason for denial but the travel history.


What are my chances without a Uk/ Turkey entry exit stamp on my passport?

I know a lot of people that got their visa without travel history.

I don't think it's a good idea to travel with everything that is happening now.

However, I will advise you to find ways to provide them with convincing supporting documents and reapply.

Also, if you were denied any visa in the past or you overstayed your visa kindly indicate that.
